Very good if comparing several pictures, especially for LinkedIN
First up: I used Business purpose, and paid 40 credits (=80 votes) + used 10 Karma credits and divided these credits for user to rate 3 different photos. My goal was to choose a LinkedIn profile picture.
For this purpose, the site is perfect! I got all ratings within the same day and it really helped made up my mind which photo to choose.
The Karma-only version only gives you a rating of 1 picture, and then only 10 ratings, so that's rather limited. It also takes more time. But if you have a week to upload one pic after the other and compare with a limited sample, it can give you a good idea already.
Good platform for advice on photos
I studied computer science in college and also earned a certificate in data science, so I have a decent understanding of how these systems work. Given the sample data they are working with, they are clearly doing what they can to reduce spam voting.
That said, the people making blanket statements about “everyone spamming” are mostly projecting. I assumed some users would try to game the system, but platforms typically look at broader behavioral patterns to detect that kind of activity. I don’t spam vote, and I’m sure plenty of others don’t either. Be the change you want to see. I even run out of characters sometimes trying to give thoughtful, detailed advice.
My honest take is that PF needs to improve its marketing and strengthen its sense of community. There are many people who genuinely want constructive feedback and real ways to improve. At the same time, there are users who are primarily seeking validation, and when they don’t receive it, they turn around and complain. Those are two very different mindsets, and the platform needs to better support the first group as they are more likely the people that will continue to use your product, and pay for services.
The churn and burn cost more to run a business. You need people thinking outside of the box. I do see a broader market here.
Do not use this company
Do not use this company. Ordered a child’s personalised activity board. Took 5 weeks to arrive after many emails to chase. Arrived totally different style and instead of the blue pastel colour way ordered it was brown and pink. They wouldn’t accept anything was wrong and refund. After much haggling I got 50% refund and the item has gone to a charity shop.

I get message from site that if i dont start to rate higher their ai will rate my photos lower.
Pretty awful site
Pretty awful site. Try putting in photos of hot guys and you get the same score as photos of ugly guys. Same with girls. It's bizarre. I would not trust it.
Scam full of trolls
Scam full of trolls. I already knew I was attractive physically but wanted to get an overall gauge of the general poll opinion. Based on their polls I must be as ugly as the bottom of a trashcan.
It's solid
It's solid. I used it for a bit about 5 years ago and just thought of using it again this week. I'm getting about the results I would have expected and I'm quite happy.
People who are giving bad reviews sound ridiculous to me. There's A LOT of people who don't know how to take photos, let alone of themselves; even if they aren't the most physically attractive, they don't take the time to present themselves in the best light or even get in shape or just be healthy. I can only imagine it's these people who are leaving negative reviews. They probably have low self-awareness of how they actually come across, and their expectations are delusional.
Something is completely off in the last…
Something is completely off in the last 1-2 months. All ratings seemed to drop by 2-3 points for no real reason. Perhaps a new guideline by photofeeler to increase purchased votes. Not really for me when you get the feeling the vote is manipulated. There is no possibility that organic votes could drop by 2-3 points / 10 across the board for no reason, but that's exactly what is happening. I am guessing it is a tactic to maximize people buying credits. Pointless.
Unreliable and shady
This used to be a useful website, not quite anymore unfortunately. The exact same pictures i used a short 2-3 months ago (which i ran again for the fun of it) are now consistently getting way worse results than before.
I think they're doing this in order to entice you to obsess over your photos and spend credits on paid karma points (you need the karma to get your pic reviewed without reviewing other pics yourself first).
Over one percentile less (sometimes more) for the same exact pictures you ran once before is just not reasonable or realistic, sorry. Oh, the "free karma" also vanished automatically if you don't use it on an active test after less than a day or so - They used to let you keep the accumulated karma indefinitely before, which again supports my theory that they're doing this on purpose.
The promo material on their frontpage conveniently features average-looking examples getting 9+ in attractivenes and the like, this is done in order to make you think that this is the average you should be realistically aiming for when actually only the rare top 5% in attractiveness (actual model tier) receive that kind of rating. Again, this is likely done to get you to spend money on the karma points and obsess over your votes which they keep bumping down over time.
I'll be on the lookout for more reliable photo rating services now where you actually get realistic and fair votes that don't wildly fluctuate for no particular reason.
Absolute rubbish of a site
Absolute rubbish of a site. People just rate randomly to get their karma points and zero honest rating/comments, so highly inaccurate
Not at all accurate!I am very disappointed
Not at all accurate!I know I am very pretty(I am told this many times) and I keep getting votes given as a bad joke like 2 or 3 and if I put a really ugly woman picture, she gets higher scores than me. This site is definitely a scam.
I have been using this site for 6 years…
I have been using this site for 6 years now and I feel like I should warn people about my findings on this site...I think at one time it was somewhat helpful but now the scores are completely inconsistent and all over the place. For example, a few days ago I actually received a score of a little over a 9 on a test I kept on until 40 votes. I ran it again until 80 votes and received an 8...so now you would think this must be a nice pic of me right? However today I ran the test on the very same pic and received a score of about a 5 out of 40 votes! Now I can understand a difference of 1 or 2 points but to say one day my pic is one of the top and then the next time to say it is just average is completely ridiculous and this is not the first time something like that has happened either! Unfortunately I have to give this site a very poor rating because I find it completely unreliable in determining the best pic of oneself. I think it is probably good to figure out which pics not to use but it is not helpful to figure out your best pic by any means as the example of my experience has just demonstrated. I think Reddit or Photeval is a bit more reliable to be honest. Best to stay away from this site completely! Sorry to have to say this.
The quality of your photos is…
The quality of your photos is significantly reduced when they are uploaded to this site.
I compared the exact same photo I put on Tinder and there is NO COMPARISON in how clear they are.
As a result, you get comments like 'Needs to be clearer, or cropped closer'.
Yeah, no freakin' kidding!
Straightforward issue, yet it's been unaddressed for YEARS.
Good idea, poor execution and ruined by trolls
I'm giving it 2 stars based on the idea alone. Unfortunately, execution is poor, the impression is that the site is ruined by either trolls that vote negatively on purpose, or maybe it's a boomerang effect in its own way. If people score low themselves they start voting low on others.
It was probably a good project at the beginning, but obviously ruined either by trolls or by its own setup.
Instead of generic remarks that you pick when rating others, it should be mandatory to comment with your own words, maybe that would help.
The way it works now brings a lot of inconsistency. Same picture scores 7.8 and then 6.8 in the same category two days later.
Inconsistent score esults
I've used the scoring for photo feeler for some time now for about a dozen photos. I have to say the scoring is extremely weird. One photo I had 7 say "very" attractive 3 say "yes" and 1 say "somewhat. Yet my attractive score was 8.3. Another picture had 4 "very, 2 "yes", 4 "somewhat" and 1 "no" and yet the attractive score is higher at 8.6. How does this make any sense????
I have found ratings on this site…
I have found ratings on this site consistent with how I'd rate my own pics. The ones that I didn't think were great didn't score well. Ones I liked, did. It's a free service if you take the time to rate other people, too.
A useful site ruined by manic trolls…
A useful site ruined by manic trolls who rate 0s just for the fun of it.
Very Useful Site!
This is a great site. I think a lot of the reviews on here are upset because their photos did not do as well as they hoped, so they decided the rating system is fake or rigged somehow. If you need help deciding which of your photos are best for your dating profile, Photofeeler is extremely useful.
Good idea but the results are fuzzy
Good idea but the results are fuzzy
It's super hard to get feedback and chose the right pics for social media or dating apps. And in this sense photofeeler helps.
But I was disappointed by the inconsistency of the results (the same pic could get 6 like 8 with 20 votes each). I am also concerned regarding WHO is rating my pics since we have no control on this and I doubt the Instagram model I want to match with will be using Photofeeler to rate profiles.
I found different alternatives and found roast.dating the best since it gives you feedback on your dating profile as a whole, and personalized tips to improve it.
"Confidence interval" rarely surpasses…
"Confidence interval" rarely surpasses 5, which means on a scale of 1 - 10, they're at best half confident for a vote? Uh huh right. But it should be 0 because it is 100% fake
