I booked a non emergency appointment with Phoenix. I called on the Tuesday and booked an appointment for the Friday. I was told it would be an AM appointment, with the technician arriving between 9 and 12. at 12.20, when nobody had yet arrived, I called Phoenix to get an update, they called the technician and told him to call me, which to his credit he did so right away. He however told me that they are sub-contacted, and that he had just that moment received the job on his list for the day. He told me he lived near me so would do me on his way back after a trip to Cheshire he had not yet embarked upon and was an hour away from me. I said this wasn't fair as we had booked for an AM appointment and paid our deposit, to which I was told the deposit was the payment to Phoenix and not to him. I went back and forth with Phoenix all day on the phone, not getting updates, being promised call backs that never came and ultimately each company calling the other a liar and leaving me in the middle to mediate whilst paying for the privilege of a ruined day. When I asked for a discount (on a £170 service) I was offered a £10 deposit by the technician. I politely voiced my displeasure but he basically then reaffirmed that he had only received the job at 12:20, so I took it back up with Phoenix. When I asked for a discount on my deposit as a good will gesture for their failure to uphold the agreed contract, I was met with an absolute barrage by what appeared to be the owner, or manager. His words were basically you're not getting any of your deposit back, I've got a business to run and overheads to pay so you think you're getting money back you're wrong. When I said I would take it further, he said "Good luck, we aren't regulated so you can take us to court then". Horrendous, absolutely awful. I've never experienced anything like it.

Total Scam !!
Took a huge deposit and promised to turn up in a few hours. No show. No service. No parts. NOTHING !! I had to chase their engineer (Billy) who was nowhere nearby, and only just starting jobs there. Eventually messaged me AFTER MIDNIGHT to say he wouldn'tbe coming out !!

I've had to claim back the deposit through Paypal. Who they clearly lied to and said they had provided service to.

At this rate I will have to take them to court to recover my money.

I booked Phoenix to replace the barrel in my car after it became faulty. We were initially told someone would attend at lunchtime, but no one arrived because the locksmith didn’t have the required part. A second appointment was arranged for the following day, again with a lunchtime estimate, but the locksmith instead arrived at 6:30am without warning.

After the barrel was fitted, it became clear that it was faulty, as the key falls out while driving instead of locking securely into place. When I reported this, Phoenix created a WhatsApp group with the locksmith, who immediately became aggressive and wrongly accused me of dismantling and damaging the barrel myself before leaving the chat. Phoenix has since claimed that repairing the faulty barrel is “not within their scope of works”, despite replacing the barrel being the service I originally paid for.

The last I heard, directors were apparently getting involved. It has now been a week, and Phoenix have ignored my attempts to resolve the issue. No responses at all. I simply want them to either replace the defective barrel with a properly functioning one or refund me so I can have the repair carried out by another locksmith. The level of customer service has been completely unacceptable.

Excellent service the phoenix. How they arranged and managed to solve my ignitions barrel was great especially amount of time. And Daren was great did my job very quickly and efficiently wish him all the best.

You ripped off my father (Trev) and lied in your response to him. He called you, you told him to contact the guy in London and that you would not refund him. Not only did you rip him off and refuse to fix it or refund, you lied about it being the first time youve heard of a problem. AVOID THIS COMPANY.

Absolutely brilliant company!! Rang and spoke to a lovely lady, gave me price and said that’s the total price including everything. Paid the deposit. The lovely lady then sent me the auto locksmiths name and number. The auto locksmith Craig who came out to me rang with estimated time of arrival and was bang on time. He was professional, highly competent and a lovely man. Craig sorted my car by changing the ignition barrel within 30 minutes! Never been happier to hear the noise of my car’s engine; happy days! Highly recommend Phoenix Car Keys. Ace company. Excellent value, very happy.

Ignition barrel in my van broke, I called out the AA and the mechanic that they sent advised me to call out a mobile locksmith to replace it. I wanted a company local to Salisbury to fix the ignition and called Phoenix who priced the job at £369. The locksmith contacted me and arranged to do the work on the Wednesday while I was at work then called me later on the Wednesday to say that he couldn't finish the job as he had the wrong ignition barrel but would be back as soon as possible to complete. He completed the job on the Thursday and while it wasn't the tidiest job I have ever seen the ignition does work. Later found that the plastic shroud on the steering column moves while driving but decided that I will fix this myself as the locksmith came from London to do the job. Priced a job in Salisbury this morning and upon returning home and unlocking my front door I heard something metal strike the doorstep. The new key has fallen out of the replacement fob. I contacted Phoenix and was finally told to contact the locksmith to organise fixing the fob. Maybe they are loading too much work on their sub contractors for the locksmith to do a top notch job , his next job was in Portsmouth when he left me on the Thurday. The whole point of wanting a local company was to avoid this kind of issue. Now I have to pay again to get a replacement fob that will last more than a day.

Unbelievable service from beginning to end which was 4hrs btw. From the initial call to the guy making the new key I would recommend this service to everyone and anyone that needs it

I contacted Phoenix yesterday morning because of problems with getting my key to turn in the ignition. The call handler was very efficient and organised for a mobile locksmith to come to my home the same afternoon. A pleasant and professional gentleman from For Locks Sake came. He diagnosed a problem with my steering lock and was able to fix it and create 2 new car keys for me. Very pleased overall with the service. The cost very reasonable.

I needed a new ignition barrel and my local garage told me it could take up to 2 weeks to get the part.
I called phoenix on Thursday morning and and the new barrel was fitted by tea time.

Engineers came to make a new key. They damaged the locks, left without giving me a key. And are currently not responding about getting my money back let alone money to fix what they broke.

Was in a panic and this company was straight their worked round my time was their when said excellent service job was done promptly and the gents that cane and did it was brilliant

Website directed me to a call within 1 minute (which I thought was a gimmick!) Called by Amanda within seconds. She immediately understood my problem once explained and she asked someone who was in the area to see if they could assist.
2 minutes later she had directed Luis to my address and within an hour my ignition shaft had been fixed.

What an amazing business/team/service and I will be using them from now on regardless of price.
