Sale of parents property
The process of selling my parents house was dealt with extremely competently by Clare and the team at Phillips George.
I,acting as power of attorney anticipated many problems but they made the whole process a painless experience keeping me fully updated and replying promptly to any queries.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the team who I found to be friendly and very knowledgeable.

Absolutely brilliant job on my house…
Absolutely brilliant job on my house sale. They found buyers within the first week and ensured I got the asking price for my property. Nothing was too much trouble for these guys. They recommended my solicitor and gave me gentle nudges when I had forgotten to send paperwork. Daniel and Arj in particular were a pleasure to do business with. I honestly can’t praise these guys enough.

Without doubt the best estate agency in Leicester
We completed on our sale last month and used Phillips George to sell our property. I couldn’t recommend them enough; Clare in particular is absolutely amazing and a pleasure to deal with. Our house was sold on the first day of viewings and we were then supported all the way through the process to completion.
Unlike other agents, Phillips George answer every call, reply to every email, have a genuine interest in making things go smoothly and keep in constant touch with all parties to keep things moving! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone selling a house and wouldn’t consider using another agent now.

Very disappointed
Very disappointed. I have enquired today regarding a three-bedroom property in the Leicester area. I've mentioned that my mum, me and my daughter 17years d will move in. I have mentioned that my mum will be mostly like a visitor not living with us 100% of the time.
However, I've been told that the three-bed property is only for two people. I was mortified. Is this a private rental or council? Council will house 4-5 people in a two-bedroom property.
Anyway, I believe is another type of racism, maybe the lady didn't like my accent.

Hi Mihaela. Landlords rely on us to ensure we are placing the correct tenants in their properties. Quite often there will be a limit in place to the number of people allowed to rent a property to avoid excessive wear and tear. Most landlords would not thank us for placing 5 adults in a two bedroom property. The limit at this property is two adults and a child.
We record all calls at Phillips George for staff training and also for clarification in the event of a dispute. I have listened to the recording of your phone call. You stated that it would be you, your mother and your adult daughter moving in. When the staff member replied that the property wouldn't be suitable for you because of the restrictions in place, you then stated that your mother wouldn't be living there permanently. The staff member then said that your mother would still have to be referenced as normal and placed on the tenancy agreement, to which you became aggressive. I note that you state on your review that your daughter is 17, despite confirming (twice) on the phone call that she is over the age of 18.
Having listened to the call, I am satisfied that the member of staff concerned was justified in declining your viewing request on the basis that you didn't satisfy the required criteria and that my colleague remained professional throughout.
On the issue of racism: while I understand it is disappointing to miss out on a property, I don't accept that your allegation of racism is based on any evidence whatsoever. However, if this is a genuine concern, I would encourage you to make a formal complaint to the Property Ombudsman, of which we are members. I will be happy to make the call recording available to them.

In my lifetime I have had dealings with many estate agents....and like a lot of folk I thought they were pretty much the same...until we had dealings with Phillips George. I cannot thank Clare and her whole team enough for the support that they have given in what was a very tricky sale situation.
The perseverance and professionalism is second to none. Communication was faultless and we quickly realised that we could have total confidence in any recommendations made by Clare.

Misleading/missing information
Unfortunately had to give a low review because firstly after waiting 2 days for contact had to chase agents who confirmed hadnt received my email? Although had confirmation email to advise my enquiry had been sent.
Secondly when asked to arrange a viewing was then told can't because we are 3 adults, but if was 2 adults and child would be ok??? Why then was this not put on the info anywhere, as then wouldn't have wasted time applying to view. Very easy resolution to stop this but not done?????? Not the only lettings agents doing this, very poor

Hi Lasonia, I'm sorry you're unhappy with your experience with Phillips George. We receive hundreds of emails every day and do our very best to answer all of them. I've searched for your name through our inbox and cant find an email which corresponds to it so its difficult to check how your email has been missed.
When a landlord has specific instructions on how they wish to let their property we are obliged to follow these instructions very closely. We do tick the "no sharers" box when a landlord has specified this. However we advertise on a large number of property portals and have no control over how each portal chooses to highlight this, if at all.
I understand it's disappointing when you miss out on a property. The rental market is moving quickly, so if you are very interested in a particular property, its always best to pick up the phone and call direct.

From a First Time Buyer
Having never gone through the process of buying a house before I was a little unsure what to expect. Phillips George made the whole process super simple and straight forward & credit in particular to Sam who was always on hand to work through any issues and answer my questions, often at lightning speed. 5 star service all round and highly recommended!

I would highly recommend Phillips George estate agents. After what turned out to be a challenging sale Phillips George were amazing with their ongoing support. After my first buyer pulled out very late in the process due to unforeseen circumstances they managed to get it resold within 72 hours for the asking price which made the whole process stress free. Clare and her team are absolutely brilliant at keeping you up to date and ensuring the sale goes as smoothly as possible. Could not thank them enough for everything
