It was very worrying when our cats went missing. Knowing Petradar was there was so reassuring for us. They both found their way home again but knowing Petradar was available really did help

unable to process support request
I was unable to process my request for support using the online form. I tried on several different devices but the process stalled at different points and I was unable to finalise. Very frustrating!

Les publications sponsorisées sur Facebook et Instagram fonctionnent en tant qu’annonces publicitaires, et non comme de simples posts. Cela signifie que nous devons effectivement acheter de l’espace publicitaire auprès de Meta (Facebook/Instagram), et nous commençons toujours avec le budget minimum possible pour rester accessibles, tout en essayant d’atteindre le plus de monde autour de la zone concernée.
Nous comprenons néanmoins que ce ne soit pas à la portée de tous, et votre retour compte beaucoup. On espère pouvoir proposer à l’avenir encore plus d’options flexibles.

You Have to Pay for the Service
I didn't really know I had to pay for the service but considering the resources its understandable, however it does get really expensive if you want to expand the reach for your cause. It was about $40 for a 1 mile radius. They do give you flyer templates and a sponsored post on social media. What I didnt like about the resources was that my FB sponsored post wasnt editable and I had made some typos that I wanted to correct. I was able to correct my pet's profile description but I found that it didnt update the flyer or the FB Post.
My cat thankfully was able to just stroll back inside through our garage as I left it a bit open with his food bowl in there. He realised that the rainy and cold outside world was definitely not for him. Another tip a vet friend had told me before was to leave his litter box at the front door so he could find the house, it was a great tip and I believe it actually worked for me.

It’s so encouraging to see again and again just how effective those small actions can be 💛
Thank you also for your thoughtful and honest review. You're absolutely right, while many of our tools are free, the social media ads do come with a cost because they run as actual paid campaigns through Meta. We’re always working to keep things as accessible as possible 🙏
Regarding the edits, once an ad is submitted, Meta requires it to go through a review process before it can go live. After it's approved, it becomes a bit harder to make changes (definitely trickier than updating the poster). That said, we're always here to help and try to accommodate every pet parent’s needs as best we can. If something’s not right, we’ll always do our best to find a fix.
Feedback like yours is what helps us grow and improve for every pet parent who comes to us in a moment of panic or fear. So truly, thank you again for taking the time. Wishing you and your little explorer all the calm, warmth, and cuddles now that he's back home!

Es heisst, daß man für die Suche suf social media bezahlt. Echter gibt es nu einen Eintrag auf Facebook bei "PetRadar England ", wie bitte, soll jemand meine Katze in der Nähe finden???
Instragram darf man danach nochmal bezahlen!
Bin einmal drauf reingefallen, ein zweites mal passiert das hoffentlich nicht mehr.

Zur Klärung: PetRadar betreibt keine eigene Seite namens „PetRadar England“. Unsere offiziellen Beiträge erscheinen über unsere internationale Facebook-Seite – aber das ist in diesem Fall gar nicht entscheidend. Denn bei unserem bezahlten Service handelt es sich nicht um einfache Beiträge, sondern um bezahlte Werbeanzeigen, die über Meta (Facebook & Instagram) gezielt an Menschen im Umkreis des vermissten Tiers ausgespielt werden, unabhängig davon, ob sie unserer Seite folgen oder nicht. Genau das ist der Sinn von geotargeteten Ads. Die Facebook-Seite, von der aus sie technisch ausgespielt wird, spielt dabei keine Rolle.
Instagram ist bei diesen Kampagnen übrigens immer mit eingeschlossen – man muss nicht extra dafür bezahlen, und das war auch nie der Fall.
Wir sind uns nicht sicher, was genau passiert ist – aber so sollte die Unterstützung und Erfahrung bei uns definitiv nicht aussehen. Gerade in so einer emotional belastenden Zeit möchten wir Menschen in Not bestmöglich zur Seite stehen 🙏 Wenn du möchtest, klären wir gern auf, was genau passiert ist und ob tatsächlich unser Service genutzt wurde.

it will mean the world to me if you let 2 km social media post free. BUT if you cant do that then can you do 1km or even 0.5 km. I'm not forcing you but still, mango would've returned if people saw on social media. thank you for your help. I will make sure to pet radar if my new pet gets lost. hopefully that will never happen 😅.

It would honestly be amazing if we could offer social media advertisements for free... The challenge is that these are actual paid ads through Meta, not posts, and as a small team of animal lovers we unfortunately cannot pay for each and every campaign ourselves. With so many pets needing help around the world, it’s just not financially possible for us to cover those ad costs 😞
But your message really means a lot, and I genuinely hope that one day, with enough support from the community, we can make this kind of help available to everyone in need. Thank you for your kind words, and I truly hope you’ll never need us again, but if you do, we’ll always be here 💛

Chez PetRadar, tout ce qui est en notre contrôle est gratuit et le restera toujours (les affiches avec QR code, la fiche en ligne, les signalements, les conseils et le soutien humain 💛)
Les annonces sur les réseaux sociaux sont une option supplémentaire, jamais une obligation. Elles ont un coût uniquement parce qu’il s’agit de vraies publicités (et non de simples publications), pour lesquelles nous devons payer directement Meta🥲.
On aimerait sincèrement pouvoir offrir aussi cette partie gratuitement, et nous n’avons rien de plus à cœur que de pouvoir le faire un jour également, mais pour l’instant nous ne pouvons malheureusement pas assumer ces frais pour tous les parents d’animaux en détresse 😔
