Ben - you absolute star!
Could not thank Ben enough for the help through the original application and holding deposit, however due to the property being unsuitable for mine and my partners needs, we needed cancel as we couldn’t view the property due to coronavirus etc. So ben was good enough to sort a full refund of a holding deposit for us! Thank you for your help Ben, your a star!

Tenant review for Ben @peter Anthony
I will recommend Peter Anthony to any of my friends as the agency is quite honest and work with good pace. I took up a property as quickly as possible and all was just fast and in place though there was some extra cleaning in the property but I think to be fair that's just normal. Especially Ben who was the direct contact person from Peter Anthony was excellent in getting all the paperwork across. No issues as we settled in one of their property...

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE
I had a very bad experience with Peter Anthony and would never ever recommend it to anyone. Me and my husband were interested in one of their rented property and wanted to move in immediately. I fulfilled all the paperwork and met all requirements by paying the 'holding' deposit in advance. However, the agency decided to keep the deposit and not even agreed to give the rented property. Me and my husband went almost every weekend to speak to the agency because we really needed to move in (we were living with my parents and siblings - over crowded) but no help was provided. They knew our situation- we were very honest with the agency - even spoke to Tom who promised to look into this but nothing happened. After they refused to give the rented property, i kept calling and emailing Peter Anthony so they could at-least return the holding deposit but no one ever got back to me. No actions were taken. Me and my husband were extremely disappointed with the customer service and the agency itself.

When you applied for the property we sat down and explained what you would need to be able to rent a property through us. You agreed and signed our terms and conditions confirming that both you and your husband had the right to rent within the UK. After the application had been started it transpired that your husband did not have the right to rent a property within the UK. At this point we explained this to you, we gave you additional time to get confirmation from the home office that your husbands residency permit would come through . This did not happen and we could not move forward with the application for you to rent through us. This was not down out of malice but due to the fact it would have been illegal for us to have rent a property to you due to you not passing the right to rent check.
It was clearly set out within our terms and conditions that if you did not commence the tenancy in the designated time frame, gave false information or could not pass the right to rent check we were allowed to retain you holding fee. You agreed to this prior to the start of the application by signing them. This process was also explained to you on numerous occasions both in person and on the phone. We gave you a further three weeks to obtain consent from the Home Office. You were also advised that if you husbands residency got confirmed and he was allowed to rent a property in the UK we would use the holding fee you had paid on another property as a gesture of good will.
Whilst we were sympathetic to your situation we could not go any further with it as us as an agency and also the landlord of the property would have been liable for a fine due to breaching the "Right To Rent" regulations.

Peter Anthony have taken my second property under full management and I just want to say they are simply fantastic! Both Ben and Jenna at the Stockport branch have been brilliant! Keeping me updated all the time and getting both my properties rented out in record time. I had the unfortunate problem of having a leak at one of the properties just after it was occupied. I just took one call notifying me and that was it. They instructed a plumber to attend same day liaising with the tenant and sorted everything! Most definitely recommend.
