Would not recommend this company! They treated my home for termites prior to it being built and my home builder purchased a 2 or 3 year termite warranty from them. Well, I moved in not even a year ago and just found termites for the second time. When I reached out to HomeTeam Pest Defense to get them out here to treat them again, they essentially told me they can't help because I don't have pest control with them. They wanted me to send pictures of the termites so I did, they then told me that they were earwigs and not termites. Gave them the benefit of the doubt for the larva because they are so dang small, but then they told me that the tunnel was also earwig activity. If you want a company that honors contracts and knows the difference between termites and earwigs I would NOT recommend HomeTeam Pest Defense.

They don't respect No-Soliciting signs. When asked to show thier soliciting permit, they say they don't have any. They are soliciting without a permit in an area where you are required to have a permit to solicit. These clowns can't even afford a $50 permit but charge higher price for a job a highly rated competitor can do for cheaper cost. Thier Teax system is a gimic and backed by zero science and engineering papapers. They basically just do what ever the fk they want becuase they can get away with it.

We had a 1 year contract with an agreed upon rate. When we informed them that we would not be renewing the contract at expiration...they charged us 70.49 above what the contract allowed. They also removed the equipment and terminated service before the end of the contract, although we had paid for the service until the end of the contract. We had to contact our Credit Card provider as HomeTeam Pest Defense would not remedy their overcharge. Corrupt bad business...DO NOT RECOMMEND!

I purchased 10 of these "Pest Defense" units with an extended (1 year )warranty. Placed them in my home, garage and barn. After the first three months of operation 1/2 of the units failed. They replaced them. Within the next 4 months the last original 6 units failed and they replaced them. I had 4 of the replaced units failed within the one year warranty. They refused to cover any more of the units. I filed a report with the BBB. All but 1 of the units failed within 1.5 years of use. The last unit just failed less than 2 years of purchase. With this record of failure rate it is 100% as mentioned to them. In most manufacturing a 1% failure rate is not good. Some might say maybe it was the power coming into my hose. Well I have a whole home spike protector. I am not pleased with this business an if there were no stars vs one star I would have given it for Pest Defense.

I've purchased the electronic gadget to rid your home of all pest in a matter of weeks, and it's not at all as advertised, I've only noticed a slight decrease in pest and I've had it for 3+ months, I was looking to have a pest free home, doesn't appear that's gonna happen
