Pre-Insurance Inspections within 60 days of policy

Carpenters Insurance agent did not send photos to Peoples Trust Insur as as PTI requested. Instead of calling me directly, or to notifying me I didn't have decent hurricane insurance, they automatically changed my coverage from $250,000 to $6,800. Would have been nice if PTI would have placed a courtesy call to me or Carpenters Insurance. Caused me a hassle and worry I didn't need. It happened as Sally was approaching. Not happy with lack of communication, although it was Carpenters Insur fault to begin with.

Would give 5 stars, but I had some trouble scheduling our home inspection. They kept calling my previous phone number for some reason, and it was a big hassle getting them to change the mumber. Only had People's for a year, but other than the outdated phone number debacle, my experience is positive.

The whole process was easy I made an excellent choice

I have never received my actual homeowners insurance policy, even though I am assured that I am insured by you. I did my policy with you through Term Brokers Insurance Services.

So far so good but I have no may any claim yet. I will have to wait to have an opinion.

Because we are new to this homeowners insurance, and have not had the need for this insurance to know how they assist, I will give it a 3 star.

I was quoted a price and agreed to sign up with People's Trust only to have my premium raised almost immediately after becoming a customer. All kinds of BS reasons were given including one that said my home had an unknown pitch.. What? The home was built in 20o1 and insured by other insurance companies with no issues. Essentially People's Trust wanted to charge me more for my home with a new roof then predecessors did with nearly a 20yr old roof, now how absurd is that?

So far my experience with People's Trust has been good. I received a fair quote and they did not change it after being bound unlike some other companies I have dealt with. Good customer service as well.

Been with Peoples Trust for over 7 Years. Never had a claim, always made my payments on time, and then boom, they raised my premium from $1,100 to $2,800. Agent said all insurance carriers had to raise rates. Went with Farmers insurance and got the same coverage at $1,600. Check your policies everyone, especially those of you using Escrow payments.

Raising my rate by over 80%. No claims, no issues in the Tampa area.

Agent went the extra mile to help me get this new policy in place. I am very appreciative of her efforts. Policy in place and I am very pleased with the coverage. Thank You.
