The company required a complete home inspection through Home Inspection Services before granting coverage. While I was provided general information stating that interior photos would be taken, the actual inspection was far more invasive than I expected or believe was reasonably necessary.

During the inspection, hundreds of photos were taken throughout the inside of my home, including bedrooms, closets, showers, home offices, personal photos hanging on the walls, and nearly every other private space. I expected basic overview photos of each room and documentation of relevant insurance-related areas. Instead, the process felt like every square inch of my home was being photographed.

I understand the need to document certain items for insurance purposes, such as plumbing under sinks, the hot water heater, electrical panels, HVAC components, and exterior conditions. However, taking extensive photos of children’s rooms, bedroom closets, showers, personal family photos, and home offices that may contain confidential information felt excessive and unnecessary.

The written notice did not adequately prepare me for the volume, detail, or intrusiveness of the photos that were actually taken. Had I known the inspection would involve this level of detailed photography, I would have taken steps to remove or cover personal items, family photos, work materials, and private documents before allowing the inspection to take place.

The inspector’s approach and demeanor also did not help ease the discomfort of the situation.

It is very unsettling to know that so many detailed photos of the inside of my private home now exist somewhere outside of my control. In my 24 years as a homeowner, I have never had to go through such an intrusive process just to obtain coverage. I also want to note that I have never filed a homeowner’s insurance claim in those 24 years.

Overall, this experience felt invasive and excessive. Had I known the inspection would involve this level of detailed photography inside my home, I think I would have chosen a different insurance company just to have prevented this experience.

Peoples Trust gave me an excellent price quote for my home owners. They sent out at their expense, their own inspector to confirm details. He noted few thinks like the fire hydrant across the street and other small items. He said everything looks good and I might get a small refund from Peoples Trust. I said thanks and figured never ever get a refund once they have your money. Imagine my surprise when about 6 weeks later a I get a small refund from the insurance company!
This company seems to be honest and upfront. I look for long lasting relationship with this company which actually gave me better coverage then before for much less money. Living here in Florida we all HO insurance is astronomical and thanks to our wonderful state congress making thinks worst for the home owner and easier for the insurance companies to make even more money. You must know the inland counties help pay for the those wealthy occupants living on the coast.
Perhaps just maybe this company has a different prospective and charge much more to the coast occupants as they should and the inward counties with very few claims pay less. I certainly hope so and as long as their rates remain reasonable I plan on being with them as long as I am a home owner.

BEWARE OF THIS INSURANCE COMPANY, PEOPLE'S TRUST INSURANCE COMPANY. This company can't be trusted. If this company is your current insurance company, go check your signed documents and know what did you sign. If this company is your current homeowner insurance, start looking for a way out before something happens. I was given a policy with $18,000.00 deductible, so do the math if you have a deductible as such, pretty much you are paying for anything that happens to your house. This company should not be on the market insuring American people's homes. It was my bad to not check what I was signing. When something happens to your house, even you have concrete proof of damage, they will try everything to deny your claim! Beware again!

We had over ten diffrent desk ajusters our claim was for over 500,000 after the lawyers we recieved 118,000 it took almost 4yrs Now 4yrs later they wanted every bill we paid contractors this took us weeks.Now because we didnt replace the roof there own rapid response teal came out and replaced a few shingles we just had a roofing co inspect our roof they said it was perfect its about 14yrs old.

This company is scamming customers; my policy expired on March 5 ( thursday) and I tried to pay it on March 6 at 12am, yes this early and i try to do by their webside and dont allow to me. I called by phone and everything and i made to my agent called too,, and I was not allowed to pay with the excuse that it had expired. I contacted the manager named Nubia Rodeon, and she informed me that because my policy was not paid on March 5, they canceled it, and because of the number of claims I have. I have been a client of this company for 4 years, and last year in 2024 I had a claim because I had hurricane damage that took away my roof, and this person told me it was because of the number of claims. In other words, they are avoiding renewing my policy with an excuse without reason; they have been taking my money for 4 years, and when I make a necessary claim with proof for the category 4 hurricane we had, they respond to me like this. I demand that this company renew my policy and they still play the same game.

Changing to this company was easy and significantly lower my insurance costs for the same coverage.

My experience wasn't really great, there was a lot of confusing information,. I kept receiving emails from the old policy, asking for information. The Agent ask me to ignore, because it was the automatic system generating those emails. But this isdue was king of constant, and it was really bothering.
