I had seen positive reviews before purchasing, and I have to say it's been one of the best shopping experiences I've had.

Firstly, I found a reasonably priced upgrade for my CPU while still stuck on an AM4 architecture for a while longer.

Second, the dispatch and communication was really swift and great through both email and WhatsApp. It was my first time changing a CPU myself, so the instructions given were really helped.

The follow-up interactions were super too. All in stark contrast to most shopping experiences nowadays that feel really impersonal and business owners trying to claw as much money from their customers as possible while giving as little as possible!

Ordered a 5500x3d, received it next day delivery.

Customer service is one of, if not, the best I've ever received. Within minutes of ordering PC Tech sent me a what's app message showing me the picked CPU. They then sent me a information on how to install it including some guidance on clearing the CMOS etc. I then received photos of the CPU packed up with my address details on it.

CPU arrived, installed successfully. Ran a number of stress tests and everything is working perfectly.

The experience alone will keep me a customer when I buy my next CPU.

Professional and helpful

My overall experience has been great. The price was unbeatable and the checkout process was quick and seamless. The CPU arrived fast and was incredibly well packaged. The quality of the CPU was excellent, confirmed as a late-2025 version and top of the line.

The most striking thing was the service and communication throughout from Safwaan and the team. I was updated at every step of the way, including pictures of the unit, packaging and lots of helpful information for setup and testing. I have 100% confidence that if I had any issues with the order they would be handled fairly and professionally. Shipped super fast and arrived well packaged in perfect condition. The team were helpful giving tips on installation and even sent some thermal paste along with the CPU for free.

I upgraded from a 3000 series and I’m seeing in game fps boosts anywhere from 20% to 100%. Games like Cyberpunk and Marathon in particular really benefit.

I’ve also stress tested it and I’m seeing stable temps with my existing cooler.

The 5500X3D is an incredible upgrade if you have an AM4 system.

Firstly, the customer service was fantastic and I would definitely purchase again for my next upgrade. Great communication via WhatsApp with images and voice notes, and really good advice on what to do to minimise issues, I was impressed.

I upgraded from a Ryzen 2600 to the 5700X on a B450 motherboard. My old temps were hitting 93°C under intense load, but after adding a Thermalright Phantom Spirit (£30) which is a beast, I’m now staying under 70°C even during a Cinebench multi-thread test.

Pro-Tips for B450 Upgraders:
BIOS First: Update your BIOS before swapping the chip. Use a good USB (like a SanDisk Cruzer) and do a Full Format (not Quick) to prevent corruption.

Chipset & XMP: Always update AMD Chipset drivers after a BIOS swap and ensure XMP is enabled in BIOS to get your full RAM speed, and they are dual channel.

PBO (Precision Boost Overdrive): This is a no-brainer. I unlocked the CPU from 65W to 110W, pushing my clocks from 4.65GHz to 4.8GHz. My Cinebench score jumped from 2971 to 3370.

Re-Sizable Bar (ReBar): This is the game-changer for my RTX 4070. It lets the CPU access the full 12GB of VRAM instead of tiny 256MB chunks. Update your NVIDIA app and drivers first, restart, then flip it on in the BIOS.

I was holding out on my 2600 for a long time, and this is the perfect upgrade for the AM4 platform. Very happy with the purchase!

Ordered a new 9700x from PC Tec to move my (mainly gaming) system to AMD and away Intel, intended as an upgrade but also to escape potential Intel 13/14th Gen instability issues if kept on the same LGA1700 platform as before.

Service and communication from Safwaan has been great and fully deserving of the 5 stars. Kept me updated on order progress/delivery and showed genuine interest in how things were going with the PC build and offered advice. So hopefully this review gives someone confidence to order with PC Tec.

As for the 9700x, it’s certainly an upgrade from the i5 that was struggling to keep up with my GPU. Benefited from a few BIOS tweaks and Windows optimisations but is now properly purring along and stable. For my needs, I really want a consistent and responsive processor and the 9700x hits the mark. Plus, with now being on AM5 it gives the opportunity to upgrade to an X3D or Zen 6 later down the line. So probably not the last order I’ll place with this company.
