My wheels arrived with a hole in the shipping box, also the packaking wasn't very good.

The package included a wheel spoke tension report, which was really nice to have. However, tensions between couple of adjacent spokes had over 20% variance, which is not good for a premium wheelset.

I contacted the company about these issues and they offered me to pay inspection of the wheels, but not anything else.

For a premium product, shipping box should be stronger and wheel tensions more uniform.

I really appreciate vast information of the product in their websites, but some improvements are needed.

Commande de roues Particles rcx ,hauteur 40mm, rayons carbone dernière génération ,elles sont magnifiques,le logo discret mais très classe.
600km parcourus voici mon ressenti: super confortables,fluides, faciles dans les relances et en vitesse de croisière .La roue libre vraiment top (même si je n ai pas pris l option céramique) elles prennent très vite de la vitesse en descente et gardent une une trajectoire stable, bref super heureux de mon choix. Pour info je fais 1.80cm 80 kg je les ai monté en Pirelli P0 race avec des chambres à air Tpu, pression à l'avant 5 bar à l'arrière 5.8 bar.Merci à toute l ' équipe Particle c'est du très bon et beau travail.

Very happy with my 60mm deep RCX Ultralight wheelset with SR1 hubs, TPI ceramic bearings, and 4th generation carbon spokes. The weights of the taped rear and front wheels is 605 and 540 grams. Yes, you read that correctly.

Wheels are bang on true and round.

These wheels make even a chunkier performance specific aero bike frame feel like a lightweight climber. (Running Conti GP 5000 S TR 28mm tires with TPU tubes.) I can only imagine that Particle’s Ultralight shallow rims make a true climbing bike feel like it’s full of helium, lol.

The wheels gain and maintain speed well. Immediate engagement and power transfer. Super snappy on the jump and out of the saddle sprinting.

The unique rim profile seems to handle crosswinds better than other similar depth wheels I’ve owned.

The wheels are surprisingly comfortable for 60mm rims with carbon spokes. Particle says the ride feel of their 4th generation carbon spokes falls between steel and their gen 3 traditional carbon spokes (the latter being an option at checkout).

Working with Patrick, the founder of Particle Wheels, was a pleasure. Super responsive and helpful with detailed answers to questions. Read his and the company’s backstory on the Particle website.

After a ton of research into / shopping carbon wheels and direct-to-consumer (DTC) sellers a few things are crystal clear: 1) anyone buying name brand carbon wheels for 2-3 times the cost of DTC is doing it for the comfort and status of the name plate, 2) nearly 100% of all brand and DTC wheels are made in the same pacific rim factories, 3) there are numerous DTC sellers producing wheels with equal or better quality and features at a far lower price point than the brand sellers.

Ounce for ounce, the Particle value is nearly impossible to match.

By the way, the wheels look beautiful: slate black-dark gray with “Particle” and “RCX Ultralight 60” etched on the sidewalls.

P.S. For those who care, hub ratchet noise is pretty much comparable to other wheels, neither quiet nor overly loud.

Très agréablement surpris dès le déballage des roues, quelle légèreté et quelle qualité de fabrication, les moyeux sont hyper fluides, aucun balourd, aucun voile, montage aisé en GP5000. Sans oublier l'excellente communication par mail, les prix très attractifs et la disponibilités des pièces détachées c'est un vrai plus. Bravo ! Expérience excellente avec Particle Bike ! La personne est incroyablement disponible et répond à toutes les questions avec patience et précision, ce qui est vraiment rassurant. Les roues sont magnifiques et les composants de très haute qualité, très légères avec seulement 1077 g la paire en 50/45 .La finition est impeccable. Le rendement exceptionnel !

Absolutely love the rims I received. They made my gravel bike riding so much more responsive and quicker. My GCX Ultralight rims came in at just 1050 grams!

The owner and the company is from Colorado actually responds to emails. All in all I had a good experience with this company and I'm very happy with the product.

Keep in mind your rims ship from China. It's not like Amazon, so they take a while to get to you...

Suite au vendredi noir et sur recommandation du youtubeur cycle passion et après quelques échanges constructifs avec Patrick j'ai commandé une paire de roues cx45 , commandé le 7novembre et reçu le 18 décembre ( merci père Noël).Les roues sont splendides. Plus qu’à rouler.
Je donnerai mon ressenti sur les roues en début 2026.
