Convienent location for downtown Houston. Easy to park and get in/out. Only issue with getting longterm parking options - had to book it twice to avoid rate being 4 times higher.

I utilized the Parking.com application to secure parking for the Martin Lawrence Conference on February 8, 2025. I pre-paid for a 6-hour reservation. However, upon arrival, I was required to check in with Metropolis, as directed by Parking.com.
This check-in triggered a 12-hour charge from Metropolis, despite my pre-paid 6-hour reservation with Parking.com. The Metropolis application provided no options to adjust, review, or finalize my parking session, resulting in a double charge.
Metropolis customer service was unhelpful, stating they couldn't assist due to Parking.com being a third-party. However, Parking.com's system requires check-in with Metropolis and relies on license plate recognition for reservation verification. This clearly indicates an integration between the two platforms, and therefore, a shared responsibility to resolve this issue.
Specific Issues and Recommendations:
Poor Integration and User Experience: The integration between Parking.com and Metropolis is flawed, leading to user confusion and financial discrepancies. The user interface (UI) and application design fail to provide basic functionality for reviewing, adjusting, or finalizing reservations after check-in.
Recommendation: Conduct a thorough review and redesign of the integration process to ensure seamless functionality and a clear user experience. Prioritize user control over reservation details.
Deceptive Business Practices: Requiring check-in with a third-party vendor without ensuring reservation integrity is deceptive. Customers should not be subject to double charges due to inadequate system integration.

Lot did not show payment and I received a notice with additional fees.

I purchased online, and was confused when I arrived at lot. There was no instructions as what to do for an online purchase. I wound up having to call to find out I did not need do anything.
The owners of he lot do not use parking.com to reserve their spaces. I had to pay them to park. All owe me my money back!!!!’
I should have received a refund, because as soon as I paid, there was a fire in the building and we could not go in.
Easy to pay; nice that there were reminders that time was about to expire and the option to add more time.

My experience was horrible. I arrived at the parking lot around 8:00 pm scan the bar code and paid for two hours. When I returned to my car approximately 9:15pm there was a boot on my vehicle. I called the number that was provided on the paper that was placed on my windshield and the representative who answered the phone was very RUDE. According to the information on the ticket the boot was placed on my vehicle at 8:36pm. Now my vehicle is immobilized in error because my time had not expired and I had proof of payment. This was a huge inconvenience having to wait for someone to come and go through the hassle of proving I paid and didn’t exceed my time. There was a heated exchange between the individual who placed the boot on the car because he was not able to justify why it was done. I was very disappointed in how this incident was handled.

I’m paid for my spot and my car was booted anyway. Slight confusion on my plate number caused by me confusing the letters got me booted and it cost me $125 PLUS the $20.99 that I paid to park in that lot!! Absolutely never using this app again or parking in that lot. This is straight up theft!
When I showed the guy that came to take the boot off my receipt he said he couldn’t verify it was me that paid for the spot even though it was in my email.
Worst experience parking in Houston ever!
