PAMS LEFT ME W NO CHEMIST OVER XMAS, IGNORED MY CALLS.
I rang 2 months b4 Xmas to get a new chemist & let them know id need a new one on the 16 December-I was helped.
I rang 1 month b4 Christmas to let them know my chemist was closing & needed a new one- which I was helped w.
Also reminded them I need new chemist on 16/12.
I rang on the 15th mon & 19th Friday, trying to get my new chemist in gembrook, they never got back to me.
I now live in gembrook, it takes me an hour & 20 mins to get to Cranbourne where my old chemist is, the drive is terrifying- mountainous with drop off cliffs by the side of the narrow roads. I was not planning on driving that far until I got used to the roads as I have chronic anxiety & ptsd i have to drive very slowly & carefully (whilst wiping sweat from hands & brow & my head & eyes shaking constantly). This is going to be the worst Xmas I've had in 22 years...
The man I was dealing w there, never told me they were taking time off for 2 wks. I tried to get this sorted months ago, they would not help that far in advance. I have a poor memory when stressed & overworked, which also sums up my past 3 months packing the house up.
Thankfully I am proactive & have the skills to help myself, I missed a days dose & found a chemist in Emerald who have helped me. I've also worked in the AOD space & am very aware that alot of people, especially those new to pharmacotherapy, don't have the necessary skill set to do this themselves. This has actually made me wonder why they are there, it takes more power out of the people's hands & imo makes us lazy & 'stoopid '.
I would encourage people to do things for themselves as much as possible. As the medical system has now strayed so far from reality, truth & nature, I would also encourage people to learn to care for oneself, go within for guidance & learn how the body/ mind/ spirit actually work. Pharmacotherapy is a place where people get stuck & pigeon-holed. I was put on it by my mother & a "doctor" just under age 15, I'm now 60yrs old. I'm almost in a position to get off it, bc I've worked through my trauma, meditated every day since I learned the skill in 2019, eat organically & detoxed the other rubbish out of my system. There are natural ways to come off this garbage, to reset the brain & gain a load of wisdom whilst doing it. Don't wait for big pharma to tell you bc they wont- there's no money in natural medicine & they can't be patented, unless they use an extraction (which means you don't get the compounds of the plant that counteract any problems- restore us to balance)
Get your act together PAMS, I've seen the workers reviews. It's obviously the leadership that's the problem!

Very unhelpful every time I've rang. I complained about the last person I talked to who kept triggering me and talking over me and telling me who I was according to my diagnosis & gave me unhelpful links. I've just had another conversation when someone asked me question after question and I opened up a lot expecting some support, not to then to be asked is there friends or family I can talk to about this? Isn't the point that I'm trying to get support from you?? Very triggering & very unhelpful & frustrating. I had to explain what validating someone's feelings is and that's what support should be, be she got angry and hung up.
If you call yourself a counsellor then I'm a psychologist

Absolute joke, so many appointments cancelled and rearranged by then, with no thought for the patient appointments I’ve had to juggle to fit in with them (I work for the NHS).

Discussed at length about looking at other jobs, completing CVS and applying for any job I can find. Was not looking for employment advice sadly otherwise would have been a top class service. Needed support in my current role which I never got.

Nothing done to help
I too had appointments cancelled and lots of messing around. I broke my back and was subsequently off work, I was sent for a consultation ny my employer, however the nurse who I met never once looked at my back!

Echo previous comments. Terrible service with staff who couldn't care less and don't arrange calls with counsellors.
Poor support
Very confusing set-up. It's frustrating to be given less than 24 hours notice of when a call is happening as they take place on a working day. Not good for people with certain health conditions and for those who work in a front-facing workplace with customers... There is also no information on how to contact them to re-arrange said calls. I have had several appointments with different individuals and there appears to be no communication between them. On the last call, I was asked me why I was even referred to them in the first place! My report was sent through with recommendations and had incorrect information and errors on it. Things I discussed on the phone were not included in the report which were an important part of why I was referred to PAM OHS in the first place. Very very poor.
Terrible administration and treatment
I can't comment on the level of professionalism or competence of the OH staff who carry out the assessments, simply because since the beginning of this month I've been given five different appointments (so 'bumped' four times). On one occasion I was informed on a Friday afternoon that my appointment the following Wednesday had been brought forward to the Tuesday, only to find that my email advising them it wasn't suitable wasn't read until after the Tuesday meeting had passed. With that it's now twice I've been called at appointment times which had been declined or cancelled. As an organisation this lot are an absolute shower. I was feeling fairly neutral about the whole thing but now I'm pretty anxious. Imagine if this happened to someone off work with anxiety or depression. My manager has raised a complaint because they tried to charge our organisation for not getting back to them within 48 hours to cancel, when they emailed less than two days before the appointment. Utter shambles.
Awful company
Awful company. Unreliable. Unorganised. Very unprofessional. I have been unfortunate enough to have to deal with these people for a number of years as the organisation I work for employs them. Every single time I deal with them it’s a drama. Either 5hey don’t do as they say or they send emails or texts changing times and locations which 8 then have to chase. They clearly do not care that they are dealing with vulnerable people and appear from my experiences to be just out of the contracts and the money. I would definitely suggest that this company are avoided at all costs. I will certainly be asking questions of my employer and their governing body as to why they are employing such inept services.

My counsellor listened, developed a good understanding of the issues I was facing and helped me come up with solutions . Highly recomend

This company sent me a text with a date and time on it to have a call from one of their associates? I had no notification from my company that they were going to contact me. They didn't tell me why I had to have this call, or who I would be speaking to. Ever heard of Data Protection Rights? You'd no right to contact me without my permission.

Dreadful experience whilst having pre-employment checks for NHS. Clinician made a decision and when I asked for an explanation for this no one seemed to be able to give me an answer and it has delayed things significantly. This is a great shame given the staffing levels within the NHS.
