We have used PAL hire for various site jobs. Their adminstration is appalling. We have been receiving invoices for fuel for hire equipment 3,4,5 months after the hire was terminated. Their response to my compaint was they can still invoice up to six years later!! Really unprofessional, and not helpful at all when you have finalised a price on a job. Hire equipment broke down multiple times, struggled to get it resolved, guys ended up on site with a welfare unit with no power for over a week, fixed, then broke down again. Still haven't received a credit for down time. Received invoices for various incorrect charges. Would not recommend PAL hire, we certainly are not going to use them again!!

Where do i start!!
We have use PAL hire on a few occasions as a maintenance company; however after our latest experience we will never use them again.
Portaloo was delivered in July and arrived filthy with faeces in the bowl and stunk of stagnant water, and the hand wash was broke.
Complained and got this replaced.
The new one was also filthy.
8 weeks later the loo had only been cleaned 3 times (its supposed to be once a week).
It eventually got cleaned because we were continually complaining, which tooke nearly a month for PAL to respond to.
We were then advised the loo would be changed again, and it was changed 5 days later and yet again another one in poor condition.
This got changed 4 days later - this one had stagnant water inside which our guys cleaned out themselves.
1 month later we asked for the loo to be removed as we had enough of the poor service and lack of response, despite escelating this up the chain at PAL.
We complained for months and were eventually offered a 1 week hire credit after 5 months of complete hassle which added further insult if anything!
Avoid this company and go elsewhere.

Avoid PAL Hire at All Costs

Our experience with PAL Hire was absolutely dreadful from start to finish. We hired a scaffolding tower, and the entire process was a nightmare. Communication was non-existent; I could never get hold of anyone when I needed to. When I finally did, the driver who showed up was incredibly rude.

To make matters worse, they completely ignored my repeated requests to arrange a pickup. In the end, I had to retrieve the equipment from the site myself and take it back to my unit—something I absolutely shouldn’t have had to do. They even tried to charge me for a failed delivery, which was outrageous.

When they finally collected the scaffolding, it took forever for them to return my refundable deposit, and they were needlessly awkward about the whole thing.

Awful service, unprofessional behaviour, and a complete disregard for customers once they have your money.

Do yourself a favour and steer clear of PAL Hire.

Absolutely terrible service from start to finish.

RICS Chartered Surveyor with 10+ years experience hiring plant with work. Worst experience with this company of any suppliers to date. Some no-shows delaying our projects, invoices for aborted visits that THEY aborted. Their accounting system is unmanageable, they overload you with small value invoices. Coupled with their chasing emails, your inbox becomes flooded with PAL emails. Extremely unhelpful and harassing. Would not recommend.

Specifically Jordan Swindells, he is the link between Severn and Pal hire that enables every hire to run as smoothly as possible. Any issues he is also a great help with. We have several hire companys that we use however Jordan is our go to.

Jordan has been key to us having a great working relationship with PAL Hire. As a business having an account manager that listens to us for our a business needs, but to deliver on against this for our requests, some of which at very short notice is pivotal for smooth operations.
As an account we are not always right, but Jordan is understanding, works through the issues, with us, being sympathetic & diplomatic in the handling.
Jordan is key to PAL Hire being our preferred plant hire company.

Daniel Greenwood, our Account Manager, has been and is brilliant at sorting out everything we need. All of our supervisors/managers here have his contact as he is reliable and helps us on short notice with ease. For this reason, we continue to consider Pal Hire when we have any new and upcoming projects, and have had Danny’s help with with multiple past projects too. Very professional and friendly.

Fom the first phone call, their staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful. They understood my needs right away and quickly matched me with the perfect excavator for the job. No confusing quotes or hidden fees – their transparency and upfront communication were refreshing.

Excellent service was received for our large order of Scissor Lifts from Pal Hire. Nic Davidson and Andy King were superbly helpful with this order. The Scissor Lifts supplied by Empire were fantastic. It made stock take at Funko so much easier.

Our account manager Jordan Swindells has been great at dealing with all our requests, even the last minute ones on a Friday..! Jordan has good communication and a great attitude even when things may not go to plan and does his best to resolve or find another solution.

A great company to deal with, skip arrived and removed when requested, no problems. The young lady, Nic, was very helpful and pleasant.

I always use PAL Hire where I can. I receive an excellent and reliable service from Ryan Kirby in particular, no job is too big or too small!! He always provides solutions to any issues I may have had and moving forward PAL Hire will always be my main "go to" for machinery and plant, supplies, anything we may need. Thank you
