dishonesty

That sent me policy by email they have taken two payments and to date have been unable to get ahold a person to give an account number, claim number. Finally after hours of being transferred to maintenance department, Omega Department etc. a person in claims tells me they do not have anything regarding my name, vehicle etc. etc.. the phone for claims has been disconnected lol now what????

my engine light came on the catalytic…

my engine light came on the catalytic converter needed to be replaced. They told me that part wasn't covered "because it is stolen a lot" I recorded the conversation (wish I could post) and the guy would not let me cancel my policy and transferred my call to start all over again

Scam…

Well…. Basically they wrote me a policy that I never agreed on and customer service couldn’t help me. They said I was getting a Diamond and they gave me a lesser plan. In the end they couldn’t change it. If you ordered a Porsche and got a Hyundai, wouldn’t you be upset??? Scammers.

I just watched your advertisement on television and the spokesperson chosen to represent your company spoke and looked so ghetto. As I shop for a vehicle protection plan, I will not consider yours simply because of your television advertisement.

WARNING....do not do business with this…

WARNING....do not do business with this company.....wouldn't send me policy to review unless I paid $100 down and signed up for two years. Was told had 30 days to cancel. The next day, I tried to cancel policy. I spent hours on the phone trying to cancel. Sent emails to confirm cancellation. Kept getting the runaround and they wouldn't cancel and kept sending me to different people to try to talk me into keeping policy. My reason for cancelling was bad reviews for service. So they finally said they cancelled but would not refund $100. I said I was never told, they said, "I didn't ask" Can you believe it????????

Saw a commercial… then looked at…

Saw a commercial… then looked at reviews. Why would anyone purchase a warranty from this company with all the terrible reviews? There is way too much of a pattern to be a he said or she said situation. Way too many bad reviews to be isolated events. Clearly this company is by far more bad than good. Buyer would only have themselves to blame if they purchase a warranty from them. If I owned this company…I would be mortified with all the bad reviews and would either change the culture immediately or sell the company to someone who will.

I should have checked Trustpilot first.

I believed the ads so I went with OX in early 2023 for over $200 a month. In August had a trouble with noise in the rear axle of my 2015 Genesis sedan. I took it to the dealer(high end vehicle) and since this was my only car I rented a car to use. Was not worried because car rental was in contract. In about 4 hours dealer called. Bad drivetrain and wheel bearings. Told them to call OX. Advisor called but was put on 45 minute hold for claims dept. Advisors cannot hold for that long so they were told to email info and he did. No reply the next 2 days. Advisor emailed again and was told claims had emailed me, the owner, 2 days ago for next step. Nothing in contract about emailing so it went to my spam. I found it. Wow. They wanted cradle to grave maintenance history on the car. Advisor sent them What he had. Two days later OX claims dept sent ok to proceed, however claims says they found after market parts for much less and that's all they will pay on parts. Also they will not pay the dealers hourly labor rate.Having limited funds I ok'd it. Advisor ordered parts that day. Took almost 3 days for the parts to arrive. Dealer got car up and going the next morning. Out of pocket I had to pay $100, deductible. $338, for labor. $987 for car rental. Call OX about car rental. OX says they only pay for rental if labor time needed to replace parts is 4 hours or more. Invoice said only took dealer 3.5 hours. Add $850 premium I had already paid OX I'm nowar $2325. Original estimate from dealer was $1760. I canceled OX. Beware. Tell you anything to sell you but claims are a nightmare.

Ox does apologize for the inconvenience you faced regarding your claim and any misinformation that was told to you. Per the policy a car rental is only paid for when the labor cost exceeds 8 hours. Moreover, relating to aftermarket parts; Ox does try to obtain OEM parts for all of our customers vehicles. In some cases we are not able to and the policy does state that we can place lightly used or non-OEM parts in our customers vehicle. Finally, we do negotiate the labor charges with the repair facility as best as we can.

Unfortunately, it seems the repair facility billed you for the excess payment after Ox paid their share. We are sorry to see you go, and hope this messages provides you with some clarity on the matter.

I am sorry that you felt the need to file a compliant with the federal trade commission. We did our best to service your son's vehicle. However, there were circumstances that both you and your son were updated on as to why we could not proceed with the claim.

I Pay to Ox Car Care $4000.00 Dollar. I need my money back.

On 5/22/2023 I Pay to Ox Car Care four thousand dollar for a policy that I never use because the BMW 650i 2016 got into a car accident and in result of that accident, the automobile was totaled. Since then, I've been trying to collect the four thousand dollars owed to myself for the policy that I paid for. I have done everything that Ox Car Care, 4 Park Place Ste 500 Irvine, CA 92614. Tel # (844) 299-0885. I want to know if anyone could help me to recuperate the four thousand dollars that was paid for this policy.? I want to say, how it is possible that this company is still in business when they do unethical things to clients? I just wish that the state department of California shut down this company and pay the customers their money. I've been looking into car warranties lately, but no longer!

I've been shopping around lately, considering purchasing one of these "warranties" for my Explorer, which is now out of warranty. After reading dozens of truly BAD reviews, for virtually EVERY such company, I was shocked to see the truly DEPLORABLE reviews written about this company in particular! I didn't think they could have gotten any worse... but apparently OX is the worst of them all.

Because of these kinds of reviews being the apparent "standard" for all of these companies, I've decided against signing with any of them, and instead, I'll be trying to bank a couple hundred dollars or more a month, should I ever need unexpected repairs.

My sincere THANKS to all who took the time to share their own nightmarish stories... I think you saved me a lot of unnecessary grief!

Ox Car (they don't) Care. Horrible customer service. Incompetent customer service agents. They are among the worse I've encountered. Either they are poorly trained and/or they don't care. Don't waste your time or money with these clowns. There are better car warranty services in the market. Not the one with Ice T and Vivica Fox...

…worst deceiving company ox care care crooks, liars

On January 5th of 2024 I wanted to purchased an insurance for my sister (which turned out to be fake) for her 2013 nissan pathfinder on the same day after paying a sum of 75 dollars for the initial payment which was suppose to be a down payment to start the policy. I was told by the perauasive customer service representative that if i was dissatisfied that I could cancel it in less than 30 days. I just would have to call to cancel and I would guarantee my money back. I called in on the same day an hour later, and asked to cancel the policy. After I have read all the bad reviews this company had. The crooks has refuse to cancel. They're trying to push me into keeping it and told me not to pay attention to the low reviews.. I still told him that i wanted to cancel, but he hang up the phone on my face. this fight was continued for a whole 2 days trying to g et them to cancel the policy. Every time I called customer service would hang up on my face. Eventually 4 days later a lady decide to cancel my policy for me. Eventually they stated that i would receive my 75 dollars back, but it was never refunded. The frustration every day about when i would recieve my refund continued to be a constant fight. Ezekiel a manager supposed to be claimed I was suppose to receive the 75 dollars within 7 days by paper check when I called today on January 16 of 2024 he told the check was never sent out yet and hang up on me. I called back again a female crook told me March 12 of 2024 that's when my refund going out.That would be 2 months later. I still do not believe this nightmare and still probably wont get my refund. This company is deceiving crooks. They claimed to be a legal franchise to rob people of they hard earnings. I won; cause I'm smart to cancel fast without paying them more of my hard earnings all they stole are petty 75 bucks. I'm proceeding to court so they don't rob no one else anymore with fake promises and lies. The worst company ever all they employees trade to scam deceive and take advantage of people hard earnings money. Straight legal thief

I have cancelled with ox car care and…

I have cancelled with ox car care and they still haven't given me my money back. Thought it was Garrented to get your money back after cancelling with them. It has been over a month now and still haven't gotten my money back. I would never ever recommend this to anyone. They only just want your money. Please don't ever use this place. They come up with every little excuse that they can just to take your money. They even knew my car wasn't even running at the time and they just by passed that's because they seemed to be hurting for money.

Very complicated to deal with

I went for my first “free” oil change today. Followed the instructions in the policy book but still ended up paying out of pocket. Was told by an ox customer service rep that they would pay by credit card but nobody I talked with was authorized to make the payment. Wasted over an hour on the phone and now will have to wait and see if they reimburse me. I do not recommend ox care care. They may be legitimate but they certainly have poor customer service. As of 3/10/24 still nothing done. Was told I would have a check within 15 days in 2/15/24. Today, 3/11, was told check was returned to them and I would have it by the 22nd. These people don’t follow thru. I recommend you look elsewhere for a car warranty.

What a scam!

What a scam!! Ox Care found a way to delay even communicating back with my service department and 10 days later we had to get our car and pay ourselves. Their response to us?? When you picked the car up it invalidated us paying. NEVER buy a policy with this company.

Unacceptable claims process and customer service

I submitted my first maintenance claim over a month ago. I received an email back in mime format so completely unreadable. I followed up with a phone call and after spending well over an hour on hold to speak to a representative I was rudely handled but was told that the claim was approved and I should be receiving a check but well over a month later I am still waiting. Called back to get status and I am still on hold an hour and 35 minutes later. Will be calling to cancel my policy immediately. DO NOT do business with this scam business

Biggest Scam Artist in the world

Biggest scam artist in the world! Just out to collect your money. Refused to pay a claim when my transmission went out. My payments were up to date, my service records were up to date from the time I initiated my policy as stated in the email from the claims department.They are refusing to pay my claim. And now are refusing to refund my money
