A family-run company, One Traveller was started in 2007 by a highly experienced Tour Manager who specialised in escorting solo travel holidays. One Traveller has since gained a reputation as the UK’s number one singles holiday specialist for the over 50s and has won multiple publicly-voted awards.
What We Offer
All One Traveller holidays have many meals, drinks, excursions and extra touches included in the headline price. Every guest gets their own double room in our hand-picked four and five-star hotels, with no single supplement to pay.

A holiday to Morocco in April 2025 was…
A holiday to Morocco in April 2025 was generally good. However, the journey back to UK was a nightmare. This was mainly the fault of Royal Air Maroc. Thirty clients aged between late 50s and mid 80s kept for nearly 4 hours in the departure lounge of Marrakesh Airport. It was over hot, with no water and no information. For another 8 hours we were kept elsewhere at the airport with again misinformation or no information, limited and inadequate refreshments. We were finally coached to Casablanca, via Casablanca Airport we queued to get new boarding passes. We arrived at a substandard hotel in Casablanca at 3 am to leave for the airport at 9 am. DUTY OF CARE WAS NEGLECTED.
Since then, One Traveller has dealt inadequately with complaints. Our contract was with OT, not with Royal Air Maroc.
We have been told not to correspond with RAM, and then told RAM dealing with, OT dealing with; someone would get back to us etc. etc. Four months on and no further forward. Looks as though OT are hoping we will quietly go away. The cancelled flight was not One Traveller's fault and up to that point, I enjoyed the holiday. The tour guides were excellent. Unfortunately, the whole holiday was tainted by the last 36 hours. Our contract was with OT. We entrusted our care to them. They failed us, especially in the post-holiday communication..
12 September 2025. I emailed Ian Darkin, CEO, OT on 8 September complaining that issue still not resolved. This was before my original TP Review and OT response. (No response from OT yet.) And this gives lie to OT response to review They knew issue not resolved

While the disruption was the responsibility of Royal Air Maroc, we fully understand how upsetting the experience must have been.
Please be assured we have remained in contact with the airline throughout and have continued to follow up regularly, sharing updates whenever we have had new information. We had understood the matter was resolved and we are sorry to hear that may not be the case.
We remain committed to seeing this through and will do everything we can to help bring this to a satisfactory conclusion as swiftly as possible.

Our tour manager Simon was always around with information and assistance. The arrangements for all our activities were mostly perfect, Switzerland itself is a wonderful place and all in all I had a wonderful time.

Prague holiday
The hotel was great, the tour manager was very friendly and helpful, the trips were well organised and the group I travelled with were a friendly bunch of people. Recommended for a first solo trip abroad.

Lovely Stockholm My holiday was extremely good
My holiday was extremely good, the courier was excellent, kept people mixing with each other. Nothing was too much trouble for Alison. The route around Stockholm was well thought out, ie, sightseeing.

Great holiday.
Excellent pre holiday information. Office and tour manager contacted me during the week prior to the holiday to ask if there were any questions. Met on arrival at departure airport. Tour manger, Simon, friendly and organised. Excellent coach driver too who was with us the whole week aoart from
the free day. Hotel in Adelboden in wonderful situation with mountain views from balcony. Excellent food and friendly staff. Lovely excursions helped by outstanding weather. Second time I’ve done this holiday and really enjoyed it. Friendly group of people. Like the numbering system for meals. Thank you One Traveller.

It was my first trip as a solo…
It was my first trip as a solo traveller so had some reservations, these were quickly quelled as everything was so very well organised.
The hotel was very much to my liking and I found the fellow travellers very amenable.

The best travel company

Across the Pond traveler
I travel from New York. There is no travel company in the US that offers extensive solo traveler trips for senior travelers. My two trips have been well planned and a good value. I have recommended this company to others in the US
