Great service

Great service

I have got to say that I have been an avid user of my peloton over the past 2.5 years. I was absolutely gutted when the knob on my seat broke and I could not use my Peloton. Having read reviews in the past it was quite negative about the customer service.

From my experience it could not have been better. Within 6 working days I had a completely new frame delivered and fitted. There was no argument about getting the frame and genuinely really impressed in terms of the service. It is very easy to be negative but genuinely thought this was great service.

No Customer Service or Honesty

My bike touchscreen broke. These things happen. I ordered a new screen. However, the replacement screen had an issue in that it could not see any wifi signal, even though I have 3 to choose from. Onto Peloton customer service where I am told I need to have yet another screen sent out, it may take another 5 and 7 days to get it to me and they will have the (broken) replacement screen collected. I expressed how unhappy I was and that I would like to speak with a manager. This call was promised yesterday and has not materialised. I was even more annoyed today when I received a message saying their courier had tried to collect the screen which doesn't see wi-fi, but couldn't because nobody was at home. I have been at home all day specifically waiting for this thing to be collected. Strike 2 for Peloton. Yet again I go online, go through the chat bots and yet again ask for a call because I want to speak with a human being. My phone number is checked and I am assured a manager will call me - surprise, surprise almost the end of the working day and no call has been received, for the 2nd day running. I can only conclude 2 things from this. 1, Peloton tell you lies when they say they are listening to you and will call you. 2. It may be time to get a Wattbike. Honestly, if you expect customer service Peloton is not the partner for you.

Great but not perfect

I‘m thoroughly enjoying Peleton. I’m currently renting the bike which is really good and the spin classes are fantastic.

My only quibble is that the yoga and Pilates instructors need to be more specific with every single command as when the screen is on the bike you cannot see it from the mat. I‘m an experienced yoga student and I’ve found myself on the wrong side or in the wrong position as the moves have not been verbally cued properly.

I love the breadth of classes on offer and can’t wait to explore further.

I'm a bigger guy and looked for a shirt…

I'm a bigger guy and looked for a shirt that actually fitted, I was sceptical because the price was cheap, I was thinking may be Chinese cheap quality, but they arrived and wow!! Excellent quality, airtex arms and side are very breathable on hot days, and I think I can go down a size even!! Will be buying more.

Terrible Customer Service.. Do Better PELOTON

Upon my second attempt to have a treadmill delivered after 7 weeks I feel compelled to write this review about Peloton's appalling customer service, in the hope that they will review who they do business with in respect of third party couriers and either change provider or have more than one.

It's worth noting that I have been a Peloton customer and huge fan since 2020 having purchased a bike during lockdown and have been a weekly user of the bike and app ever since . In fact I am on a 225 week streak!!. I love the Peloton platform so much that it pains me to write this review

Despite already being a member of my works gym and using the app to access the tread classes I decided to purchase a treadmill. A purchase not taken lightly as they are not cheap.

Since then though I have experienced the worst customer service of my life.

Earlier today I sat on hold for 45 minutes waiting to speak to a supervisor - this was despite me already raising a complaint with the previous customer support advisor who knew how disgruntled I was. How anyone could think that leaving someone on hold for 45 minutes who is complaining about the service they are receiving is a good idea is a mystery to me. I gave up after 45 minutes as had no idea of where I was in the queue or if anyone would ever pick up. This obviously added to my discontent and hence why I felt it necessary to write this review.

I purchased a treadmill 7 weeks ago - I accepted the 3 week delivery time period which I was happy with as the bike during lockdown took 6 weeks to arrive, but the treadmill turned up and was faulty. It wouldn't power up and had to be returned. The courier who struggled to put the tread together and needed additional tools from me (fortunately my husband has some) had no clue what would happen next and I was left wondering if anyone would contact me. 4 days later I was contacted by the courier who told me I had to wait another 3.5 weeks as this was the earliest date available. I had been put to the back of the queue. I complained to Peloton, but they couldn't help me as have no authority it would seem over a third party contractor who they pay to deliver and assemble their products!!!. After asking if I would receive any compensation I was eventually offered some relief on my subscription.

I was expecting my treadmill re-delivery today swapping my working from home day to today instead of Friday, and was called at 1030am by the courier who informed me that they had not put the order in, in time and the tread wouldn't be delivered until Sunday to their warehouse. (they have only known about this for 3.5 weeks!!!!) I will be contacted next week with a new delivery date.

I have heard Peloton are in trouble and if this is the way they treat people who purchase their VERY expensive products then I'm not surprised.

I told Peloton I wanted my tread within 2 weeks or a refund, and they don't seem to care, they are at the mercy of XPO who are awful so I don't hold out much hope.

Such a shame as Peloton is my favourite thing in life I really hope they get there act together. Your business is failing because of the way you treat customers. For an American based company this really is shocking.

I wonder if the shareholders care!!

After posting this update I contacted a senior stakeholder at Peloton who expedited by delivery and 48 hours later I have my treadmill. I just wanted to say that I was surprised at the quick response to my complaint and wanted to say how impressed I was with the way this was handled. Thank you Peloton. I know you are working hard on your customer service in the UK. I wish you every success as I love your products and im not going anywhere.

Customer service of a dead toad

I ordered a rental peloton in early June. Paid my money, and excitedly waited for my new kit. And waited. And waited. And waited. It’s now two months on and I’ve still not received the bike. Firstly, Peloton had an issue with the delivery company. They then lost my order. And when, finally, the bike was delivered, the monitor was broken. Help from customer services has been abysmal throughout. They charge a premium price but provide a customer experience akin to having raw chilli rubbed into your eye balls. Avoid!

The classes are truly professional and…

The classes are truly professional and are measured to improve performance intelligently thus reducing and minimising risk of injuries. They also cater for all abilities.
I am impressed with the standard of coaching across the expansive pool of coaches.
The range of activities is also very good, I’m particularly impressed with the relatively new introduction of “Lanes” in the experience category.
One can tailor a workout to how you feel on the day, the alternatives include joining a live class, a prerecorded class, or just a free peddle in an idyllic scenic part of the globe. You may want instructions on technique, well that’s available. Maybe do a little weights class whilst peddling, only light weights mind as they don’t feel so light later in the class.
There are floor excercises including yoga and meditation, what’s not to like.

Avoid if you think you might want to return in trial

The Bike is great but don't think it will be easy to return if you change your mind in the 30 days that you have the option to. The company they use for delivery and collection are diabolical. They were supposed to collect on Monday and were a no show. Then they were supposed to collect on Wednesday but could not give an ETA. The person on the phone said the reason everything was so bad was that she was working on her own. She then just hung up on me.

The worst customer service I have ever experienced

Bike dumped on my apartment door without being assembled. Delivery team called me once they had left to say they had just delivered. I asked the delivery team to return as they were only outside the building to which the chap just hung up.

I then arranged to have the bike collected as I would not pay a monthly subscription to a company that treats me like this.

The bike was collected on the 18th June and I am yet to receive any acknowledgment from Peloton. The refund hasn’t been processed and they haven’t told me they’ve received it either. The collection team were very understanding when I described what had happened as if they knew this was an ongoing problem with customer service.

I’ve sent Peloton multiple emails and they are yet to reply to me.

I’m glad I opted for finance and didn’t buy it outright as I feel I would have never got my money back. I have since cancelled my credit plan with the broker.

This experience has really upset me as I was making the switch from running to cycling due to multiple ankle surgeries and was really excited.

It’s such a shame that such a brilliant product is let down by such poor customer service.

Peloton, if you do read this please action my refund!

Customer service virtually never responds to my email questions - even when I write follow-ups. It’s very time consuming for me to follow up and I expected more from a £40/month subscription service.
