I’ve been a One Legal customer for years. Last week, I filed a summons which I needed in order to quickly serve a California resident in order to prevent my case from being removed to federal court. It was a rush order that cost $75 extra.

One Legal on Wednesday emailed me that the filing was under court review. That was a lie. On Thursday, I contacted the the court to learn why my summons was not returned. The court told me nothing had been filed. It also told me that the ability to file electronically needed to be reset, meaning it was impossible for anyone, including One Legal, to efile in my case.

I called One Legal help line on Friday and asked why they told me my document was before the court when it was impossible to efile in my case. I was told I would receive an email response as customer service could not help me.

Today, on Monday, I finally receive an email from One Legal. They repeated what the court told me, that no one could file in the case and they would ask the to set it for efiling. They did not address their telling me that my summons was before the court awaiting review when that was impossible.

Meanwhile, I used File and Serve Express on Friday and received my summons that afternoon, after the court set up efiling at my request.

Don’t hire liars to do your filings. Don’t hire One Legal

Terrible service!

It delayed to serve my paper for over 40 days. 14 days have passed, but no one made any response after I complained it about the delay. Now, 60 days have passed since I placed that order!

After 8 years of giving One Legal, thousands of dollars in fees and numerous documents, including lawsuits, to file my office began to notice a serious drop off in their competency.
As an attorney it is critically important to have a reliable partner to serve our clients' needs.
To say One Legal fall short is an understatement!

What a disappointment for a court referred business...
Not as bad as the last court referred legal process company but almost as bad....
The "runner" claims the Costa Mesa Justice Department screamed at him and would not allow him to drop off a courtesy copy???? The Clerks office fell out of their chair with laughter. Questions ranging from does he know how to walk up to a window? Did he get out of his car???
So, if you want a company that does not know how to upload copies of service, this is your company, well to be fare it's only been 2 and a half weeks of me calling everyday!!! If you want a company that sends false notices of service this is your company.... If you don't mind excuses for why your courtesy copy not delivered, use these guys!!! Ummmm.....? Isn't this pretty much their job?

They dropped the ball HUGELY on my case. told them I only had 6 days to serve, didnt tell me they wouldn't try over the weekend or on the holiday, then when they did try to serve they didnt give me notifications until after the final day to serve, which would've told me to serve a different individual. lost the ability to have my case heard and they charged me fully for this service. I am furious and will be contesting with my credit card company.

I am a new client of One Legal. I had difficulty setting up a new account and filing questions. I telephoned the 800 number and spoke with Jennifer. Her assistance was professional, outstanding, informative and courteous. She personifies service and is an outstanding representative of your company. I shall definitely be using One Legal's services and recommending it to other attorneys. Thank you again, Jennifer for your assistance and support.

They charged $126 to drop off documents for processing but not for retrieving the documents. I could have placed the documents in the post and they would have been processed faster. Now they expect me to drive the two hours to pick the documents up from the courthouse. They say they completed the order yet I do not have the documents necessary to serve. DO NOT USE

When I called to ask about the status of the order, they said they were looking into it and sent to their "critical" team. They refused to give me names or numbers. To date, I have not heard back.

Horrible at process serving and worse with courtesy copies. They delivered to the wrong courthouse, dropped the document at the door rather than delivering it to the requested courtroom, then lied about it five times. They finally admitted it when I told them that the clerk never received it. As an attorney I can’t use a service that lies.

This is a very efficient way to file papers with the court.

I gave used their service for court document transmittals since 2014.
Never one failed me. Reps are always helpful with positive attitudes....there are no wrong questions.

This company is rite with thieves.

They bill for jury fees when they don't post them.

I will be filing a lawsuit with the court and bring to the court's attention this rampant thievery.

It is ridiculous that the court requires us to use a "service" to file something that could be mailed to them. Then they CHARGE 60 DOLLARS for posting it.?? to hell with these people..

This service is amazing. They handled my filiing in a county far from my residence perfectly. The people on the phone were the best.

So far so good with everything way beyond my expectations. They are on a scale of 1-10, a 12!

The process to fill up the documents with The Court became so easy and convenient. I should have to drive 50 miles to the Court just to give the documents to the clerks and pay the fee. With "One Legal" no more driving in L.A. traffic, no parking fee, no walking from the parking lot to the court - you have to find the parking place first - and so forth.
