When the ad for Olivia Bottega popped up, I felt like the brides' dresses were meant for me. I also thought a lot of the designs were fairly matched on the price points. As soon as I saw the Alraune dress, I knew I found my dress. The guide for sending measurements was easy and simple to follow. It was a total of 12 weeks before I was able to try on my dress. I was so excited and happy when it arrived! I carefully opened the box and started to examine every inch of the dress.
To my dismay, the skirt edges were torn throughout the bottom. I was in utter shock that my brand-new dress was already torn straight out the box! I immediately documented through pictures and sent my OB representative an email. I had to once again wait and had to send my dress to a bridal alteration and have the skirt repaired. When the OB representative replied, she mentioned this was an oversight and that the fabric was delicate and unforgiving. It was not an oversight; it was neglect on making sure a brand-new product is show room ready. Also, whoever worked on the dress clearly needs more training and micromanagement from a more experienced seamstress. Most of the dresses OB offers are delicate fabrics. It was really distressing because there is absolutely no reason why the dress was shipped at all in that condition.
In the end OB paid for my alteration bill. It was an unnecessary additional stress I had to endure during an already stressful time, prior to the wedding and finalizing details.
I truly hope OB has raised the bar for more checkpoints in the dress making process. So that a future bride can be excited and happy about their dress, and not disappointed and discouraged.

Stunning dress
I got an amazing custom glittery reception dress which I ordered in Jun. It got delivered in Aug which was faster than expected. I felt beautiful in it and it fit like a glove. The only minor annoyance was that glitter got everywhere.

My experience was okay
My experience was okay. The dress was stunning but had the cheapest, roughest tulle in it that made the skirt so stiff and immovable. The zipper came to me already broken (or maybe just hastily sown in poorly?) and the cuffs snap off with the slightest movement. Honestly, felt much cheaper than what I paid for it. I took it to a mom and pop seamstress, got the tulle removed altogether (seamstress also commented on the bulkiness/choice of tulle), and the sleeves and zipper fixed. I got a lot of compliments on the look of it though!

Your feedback is incredibly valuable to us. Regarding the tulle, we use a structured, slightly firmer fabric in certain designs to help the skirt hold its shape and volume throughout the celebration. That said, we completely understand that it can feel stiff and less movable than softer tulles, and we regret that it impacted your comfort.
We're so sorry that the zipper and cuffs did not meet your expectations. This is not our standard, and we’ll be reviewing these elements with our production team to prevent similar issues in the future.

the dress was beyond beautiful!! The service was great! and I received my dress earlier than they originally mentioned it would arrive. My only complain is that you would think that for a dress costing well over 1k it would be packaged and delivered in a box and not STUFFED into a large plastic bag.

10/10 would buy OB again!!!
My experience with Olivia Bottega was great and I will review it in detail.
Important to know - I never stepped foot in a single bridal shop or tried on a single wedding dress before ordering my dress from OB.
I have very particular and picky taste and I disliked approximately 99% of the dresses I was seeing online and at boutiques (via their websites.) UNTIL I found OB. I fell head over heels for their Audrey dress. Love at first sight. We are having multiple micro weddings and this dress lets me have a different look at each one! BTW, every bride should do this because you get to wear your dress multiple times and it justifies the price! Plus with the Audrey mini dress, bolero, and sleeves, I also have a version I can wear every anniversary! Anyway - it was only AFTER I submitted my custom order (I wanted ALL the Audrey pieces), that I saw reviews of some people having shipping and communication issues. I panicked and expressed my concern. Sadie, the rep I worked with the whole time, was the UTMOST professional. She reassured me all would be well, and well, in between panicking and her reassurance, I decided my heard was still set on it, so I took the risk. Though her responses were sometimes delayed (she informs me she only works 3-4 days a week, plus they are overseas and there is a time difference), she was always SO polite and kind and professional. I received my dress right on time per their estimate, it fits perfectly, it is gorgeous, and I am still in love!!! Re SHIPPING, I received automated carrier emails telling me it was in the mail and when it was gonna be delivered, was delivered, etc, so I believe they have improved that side of things. PS I also ended up getting another dress for my civil ceremony, which coincidentally was also from an Eastern European label. I’m officially team Eastern European fashion. At least for my wedding! That one also fit perfect after buying blind. Win win. I now have two wedding dresses, 5 dates I will be wearing them, and like 9 different ways I can customize the Audrey which will be worn 4 times. Anyway the point is - I have nothing bad to say about OB!!!

I really liked the service
I really liked the service, the quick tailoring and delivery. I had a last-minute order before the wedding because my husband proposed on a yacht with music and my favorite childhood cartoon playing. They asked me all the necessary questions, helped take my body measurements, and advised me on the style. I was a very beautiful bride; my husband was shocked and gave me a magical wedding night. The material turned out to be very durable and soft. My girlfriends also wanted such a dress, so I made an arrangement with my friend that she would also get married in it.

TerribleExperience - do not buy online
I had a very bad experience! It started off great, until I was informed that the dress I bought was made to order, not ready to ship. The website did not make that clear at any point and was incredibly misleading. They also failed to note in the refund section that not all of my money would be refunded, due to ‘charges’
From that moment, I struggled to get my money back from them. Emails took days to be responded to, the deduction of fees from my refund wasn’t previously stated on the website, the 15-20 working day refund period was ridiculously long to start with, but then there was a ‘delay’ and it went on even longer. I wasn’t informed of the delay until I emailed again to chase it up. The communication wasn’t good enough, the descriptions on the website are not good enough and the time frame for refunds is absolutely not good enough. I strongly encourage people NOT to buy from them online.

We are making immediate changes to ensure these terms are explicitly stated at the point of purchase, not just in the policy section, so this is never a surprise again.
- Communication & Timelines: There is no excuse for our slow responses and for not proactively updating you on the delay. This was our failure, and we are implementing new processes to ensure refunds are handled within a standard, much shorter timeframe and that customers are kept informed every step of the way.
We know this does not undo your negative experience, but we hope the immediate resolution of your refund and our commitment to fixing these issues demonstrates how seriously we are taking your feedback.

Good product and quick customer…
Good product and quick customer service. I love the dress and purchasing experience. Four rather than five stars because for the price of the dress, I would think pockets would be included. My husband’s pants, jacket, and vest had pockets come with his outfit — pockets should be standard for clothing. Had the price to add pockets been nominal, say $50, I would have proceeded, but the price to add the pockets was half the price of the dress. Given that I had to have it hemmed (almost half the price of the dress) and now dry cleaned (more than half the price of the dress), the exorbitant price for pockets is particularly cruel to the bride on a reasonable budget.
