We have stayed in a number of lovely holiday lets over the years but Old Barn is a level way above where we have stayed before. Situated in the quiet hamlet of Tregonetha but within easy reach of Padstow and Rock. The owners have completely restored and extended the property with such attention to detail. The property is well equipped with everything you might need. On arrival we were greeted and shown around by Stephen, one of the owners. At the property there was everything for a cream tea along with ingredients for a cooked English breakfast in the morning. Stephen also came round with some Cornish pasties the next morning which were still warm. Our only regret was that we had booked for a long weekend rather than an extended stay. We will definitely look to return.

We spent 4 nights at the Old Barn over New Year and it was perfect for my family and our dog . We wanted for nothing as it was the best equipped holiday home we have ever stayed in . Comfy beds and the pleasant surprise of a local food hamper. We were looking for relaxation and somewhere for my son to write his music and it was certainly everything we had hoped for . The pleasant owner met us on arrival and was there if we need anything . Hope to return again .

Spent Christmas Week at The Old Barn . Greeted by the owners who were so welcoming and helpful in every way. It is one of the best places we have stayed in with quality mattresses , bedding and an extremely well equipped kitchen. In addition to a well stocked hamper we had best quality local ingredients for our first breakfast and hot pasties delivered the next day. We wanted for nothing and highly recommend Old Barn as a very special holiday destination

We’ve been visiting The Old Barn in Tregonetha for 12 years, and it continues to be an absolute gem. The location couldn’t be better—perfectly placed for everything Cornwall has to offer, with fantastic golf courses, excellent restaurants, and stunning beaches all just a short drive away. The accommodation itself is truly outstanding: beautifully maintained, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped. It’s also wonderfully dog-friendly, which makes every stay even more enjoyable. After a dozen years, it still feels like our home away from home. Highly recommended!

We had a perfect week at The Old Barn. Compared to other properties in Cornwall, it was excellent value and a faultless place to stay with fantastic hosts. If you want to enjoy going ‘home’, be able to enjoy your accommodation as well as Cornwall, this is a perfect choice. The location is handy for everywhere you’d like to go, and the accommodation is brilliant. Just a wonderful experience in every way. Highly recommend!!

We had a fantastic time and the accommodation is excellent in every way. Despite not being on the coast the location offers excellent opportunities to explore many of Cornwall’s delights. During our 1 week stay we visited Padstow, Newquay, Perranporth, St Austell and Truro. We also popped over to Rock for the Rock Oyster festival. It is a great location to play multiple Cornish golf courses- we played Perranporth which is a beautiful course.
The accommodation is extremely comfortable with lovely beds, linen and a thoroughly well stocked kitchen including an AGA. The living space and quality of all of the refurbishment is of the highest standard.
I thoroughly recommend the Old Barn and thank Stephen and Alan for their generous support of Parkinson UK which is how we found this Cornish treasure

Fabulous week at the old barn. Welcomed on arrival by Stephen and got top tips on the accommodation and local area. Utterly spoilt with all the welcome goodies including a cream tea we enjoyed as we settled in.

Lovely comfortable cottage with everything you need- aga toast and toasted sandwiches are amazing!! Brilliant south facing garden, totally secure for our dog and large enough for the kids to play in. Just a shame we didn’t get chance to use the gas bbq.

A fab position for Padstow and the Eden project, but also ventured to Tintagel and st Ives. Having a car charger was so convenient- a must for electric car families. Thank you both for a fabulous week.

The experience here was fantastic, the host Steven was very friendly and made us feel very welcome and looked after all our needs. I would highly recommend staying here.

A wonderful week away in a luxurious barn, with every home comfort you can imagine and more!
Such a fabulous welcome from the owners too. It was a fantastic location with an easy drive to explore Cornwall for the first time. We will definitely be back. A week was just too short.

What a wonderful holiday we had at the Old Barn! A Beautiful, well-appointed barn conversion, it had everything we could wish for and more. Tregonetha is perfectly placed to explore so much of what Cornwall has to offer too.
The barn was immaculate in decor and spotlessly clean, the property accepts dogs but not a trace of a dog could be found, a testament to the cleanliness of the barn.
Stephen and Allen were such gracious hosts, a full tour on arrival and the most wonderful welcome hamper we have ever come across, a lovely surprise. Thank you for making our stay truly memorable. We would highly recommend a stay here.

Absolutely by the far the best place we have stayed in Cornwall. We have been coming to Cornwall every year for over 10 years and stayed in various places.
We arrived to a peaceful, gorgeous Barn and welcomed with friendly hosts.
A detailed tour, helping us discover everything this beautiful barn had to offer. Massive garden, lots of room for the four of us and my dog to enjoy. I loved everything about this place. Will definitely stay again. Everything you guys provided was above and beyond.
Always there if we needed help but respecting privacy too.

We stayed at the Old Barn with our dog and could not have been more comfortable. The welcome pack was wonderfully generous with numerous treats as well as all the essentials.
Stephen and Allen are friendly hosts who make it their business to ensure the accommodation is everything you could wish for.

We had a fantastic family stay at the Old Barn in July. We first stayed at the property 9 years ago and it was just as fabulous as we remembered! Lovely touches with the generous hamper was a real treat, and the fresh flowers were a lovely touch and much appreciated. Stephen is a fantastic host and was very helpful throughout our stay. We would love to return here…it’s our favourite place to stay in Cornwall.

If you are looking for a luxurious, self catering property with absolutely everything you would need for a five star holiday then this is for you.
I actually don't know where to start as this property is simply perfect in every way. From the time you arrive until departure, the care taken by Stephen and Allen to ensure all your needs are met is fantastic.
The property itself is appointed to the highest standard and is beautifully decorated with everything you need. It is extremely comfortable and spacious.
The grounds are immaculate and maintained by Allen. It is in such a peaceful location with the most amazing views of the countryside around. Ideal if you are taking dogs with you as it is dog friendly.
The location is central to many places worth visiting e.g. Padstow, Port Isaac and Fowey.
I honestly cannot say enough about this property as it far exceeded our expectations. 10 nights simply wasn't enough and we've booked our return trip for 2024.

From the moment I booked - 6 months ago - to the day I write this Review, all I have ever received is Outstanding service and attention. Stephen and Alan are exceptionally professional, nice and caring people. They take care of your every need and go above and beyond. The Old Barn is, without doubt, the nicest place we have ever stayed and we did not lack for a thing. An abundance of treats awaited us upon arrival in the form of a giant luxury hamper of goodies; breakfast, elevenses and lunch (Cornish pasties) for the following day were brought over, freshly purchased from the local butcher. The house is spotlessly clean, comfortable with the added bonus of a truly beautiful garden with stunning views. A return visit is a must!

We had a fantastic stay at the Old Barn! The property is beautiful and fantastically fitted out. Stephen was an excellent host, made sure everything was ok and helped us out with everything we asked of him. The location is excellent providing easy access to most of Cornwall, and the electric car charger was invaluable! Strongly recommended and we hope to return soon! :)
