White Horses. A perfect house to spend Christmas with all your family a spacious and warm house with everything you need. Stunning views. Christmas at The Moorings…
We had an amazing stay at The Moorings over Christmas. The communications prior to our visit were informative, friendly and really helpful! The house itself was perfect - clean, well equipped and exactly as described. We had a great time and would not hesitate to recommend the property and the agency. 5 star!

The Malthouse was just perfect in every way! Very clean and tidy beautifully decorated. Equipment, utensils , fuel for log burner was all available and in perfect condition. 3 happy generations at 3 Avonside
A perfect weekend at 3 Avonside, Bantham. Thank you. Three generations of the family all catered for and happy. The view of the estuary and Burgh Island were magical from the rear bedroom and garden. We enjoyed watching the picturesque scenery and wildlife (herons, egrets, birds of prey and even pheasants, who wandered in the garden). For the older generation everything was walkable, Bantham Stores (a minute walk away), a meal at the Sloop, and of course the beach. Our middle-agers went for runs (local parkrun) and long walks (up the estuary), and our youngsters enjoyed paddling and the house wifi. We went out of season (November) and there was a warmth to the house, all made possible by Compass Quay's care. As we arrived after dark, extra care had been taken to heat the house and leave lights on so it was a welcoming environment. Communication was excellent with CQCH and we would recommend them highly.

Great location & property
Great property & location but the kitchen could benefit from varlous additional items such as a set of small knives & forks, vegetable/salad collinder & the bathroom needs a non-slip shower mat.
We plan to return in 2026.

We had a great stay at the Coach House…
We had a great stay at the Coach House in Bantham. It was a really lovely place with a peaceful surrounding. The house was fully equipped with everything we needed. We originally booked a week Saturday to Saturday but had to come Sunday instead and we were kindly allowed to stay until the Sunday. I can’t fault this place at all. Compass quay holidays have been helpful. I’d definitely want to come back here again in the future.

The rental space we had was in a…
The rental space we had was in a stunning location, and suited our needs and budget perfectly.
The quality of service throughout our stay, the personal welcome, attention to detail and their speed of response over a simple (very minor) matter underscored the professionalism of Compass Quay Coastal Holidays.
The courtesy, attentiveness and quality control of the whole team is a testament to them, and explains why they have such a beautiful selection of rentals in the area where we stayed in Bantham, and also the respect and loyalty they have from bother their clients, their whole team and the wider community.
I wish all holiday companies and rental firms could observe and replicate such prioritising of the customer, and respect for their team.
We are returning next year, due to the location, convenience of our rental, and also due to the clear pride CQCH show in their work.

An enjoyable stay
We booked a last minute week away at 9 The Downs in Thurlestone and the company were very good to deal with. Bonnie rang a few days before we left to check we had received all the necessary information and she rang again a couple of hours before we could enter the property to say we could go in early as it was ready. The property was clean on arrival and had everything we needed for a weeks stay. The location is perfect for the coast with spectacular views. The beds were comfy but could do with updating some of the furniture as it's looking a little tired. The only thing I would say is you have to climb into the bath to use the shower and if you struggle with mobility you might find this difficult as sliding doors are either side. Having said this, the shower had power and was very good. We did notice the master bedroom had developed some mould on the walls and the carpet feels slightly damp in places, something that needs to be addressed. The property is a short walk into Thurlestone bringing you right outside the village pub!

The garden view and evening sunset are priceless ( which is just as well given the high season price !)
Property does need some tlc but has an old fashioned family beach cottage feel that we like .
Needs to be fully occupied to be cost effective .

well what can i say from start to finish the service we received was amazing very easy team to deal with the first time dealing with compass quey the house we stayed in was to a very high standard and every thing you would need. we stayed in the couch house hope cove we will definitely use compass quey again

We stayed for 2 weeks in the Treetops lodge, which was tucked away in a peaceful valley, a short distance (2miles) from Batham Beach. It was well-equipped enough for our stay. Bonnie and her team were very responsive to our requests, and will certainly consider using Compass Quay again

We’ve stayed at The Moorings many times…
We’ve stayed at The Moorings many times now and always have a wonderful time. Everyone at Compass Quay is friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. We’ve stayed at other houses with other companies (probably because The Moorings was fully booked!!) but this is always our favourite.

Lovely break
We had a lovely 4 nights stay at Badger's Den, Buckland Park. The cabin was very well equipped and clean and the location was perfect. Close to some beautiful beaches and coast, towns and villages.
Buckland Park itself is wonderfully quiet with lots of wildlife.
