So we have been to the shop when we were on hols to Ambleside (John Lewis).

The chocolates here are amazing. They now have them online and deliver so it was wonderful. Well packed and as wonderful as ever.

We purchased a variety of chocolates and all are proving to be delicious- we especially enjoyed the coffee creams and cinder toffee.

The order was prompt and packaged well meaning the box and chocolates arrived in perfect condition. A small suggestion would be to include a little sample with the order this would feel special and encourage further purchases.

I brought the two variations of the Old Bank House's Chocolate Advent Calenders as Christmas presents for the family and was told how nice these chocolates were.
We always buy chocolates from the Old Bank in Ambleside as a special treat whenever we visit the Lake District for a holiday, and their handmade chocolates never disappoint. The Chocolate dipped flakes are very much a family favourite. Worth a visit and you'd be supporting a local business.

These are simply the best home made chocolates! Very difficult to find quality dark chocolate hard centred caramels anywhere else.

Growing up, one of our family traditions was to give each other some chocolate marshmallows from the Old Bank House Chocolate shop in central Blackpool. The shop relocated to Ambleside a few years ago and our tradition was lost. Approaching Christmas, I started thinking about the past and I looked up the building history online. I managed to find the name of the company and saw that they were still trading in the Lake District! I was so thrilled and quickly placed an order, however I then saw that I had passed the delivery deadline. I went through with the order anyway and put a note in the order about our tradition. Daniel, the shop owner’s grandson, got in touch straight away and offered to meet me at their factory in Lytham, so I could get the chocolates before Christmas. I was so touched by this kind gesture and when Christmas arrived my family were absolutely over the moon to have this tradition back in our lives. The chocolates were delicious and brought fond back memories of Christmasses past, with family members who are no longer with us. Thank you so much Daniel- we wish you lots of success with Old Bank House and, of course, we will be placing lots of orders with you in the future.
