Excellent quality bed
Excellent quality bed. Easy to assemble. Looks great.
Just a shame that despite paying extra for the bed to be delivered to our bedroom, the instruction wasn't given to the delivery firm. A quick phone call and was offered a refund on the delivery fee.
Awful and rude customer service
Awful and rude customer service. Delivery company failed to deliver when they said they would and when I tried to speak to this company, they washed their hands of it and told me I had to liaise with the delivery company and there was nothing they could do as it was a third party agent!
I’m astonished that companies who speak to customers like this survive in this day and age. AVOID.

A1 Company and Bed Frame
Ordered a solid brass bed from OBC, having found them on “ Google”. As usual looked at the reviews on TP etc. Bed arrived yesterday- Delivery impeccable, with a 3 hour window and tracking.
Put it up today.
It is amazing value- “ Brass in Pocket”, so to speak 🤣
Brass is very heavy, solid and well machined. This bed should last decades.
One point, if you buy one, don’t even think about trying to put it up on your own!

I have three beds and happy with them all.
Whilst cleaning underneath I noticed that a few of the plastic’things’ holding the slats was broken. Couldn’t find replacements for sale so phoned the company. Unfortunately can’t remember the name of the gentleman who I spoke to but many thanks to him the package arrived with replacements with no quibbles and no charge. Highly recommend the beds and having a good customer service is so nice.

Fab bed
Fab bed - received my Timolin bed Monday and it was put together today. Well made and beautiful. Pleased with my purchase.
Worthy of the 5 stars but, surprised that they wouldn't take order over the phone (unsuccessfully tried 3 times to place order online). I had to request via email. Lastly, please consider reviewing the polystyrene packing which is not recyclable.
I like my first bed
I like my first bed, Balina double small, and ordered a new bed for the other bedroom here (with mattresses). I have cotton Juno but it’s so good I cannot imagine what cashmere feels like. I ordered assembly straightaway to avoid huffing and puffing. The bed looks and feels rock solid. (PS. I have now received the second bed and mattress and its outstanding. Love the shelves underneath. Superb quality. Fingers crossed it lasts forever).
Faulty component / hopeless customer service
We couldn't fit one of the poles because the hole at one end hadn't been properly drilled. Customer service was hopeless. They didn't seem to know which piece needed replacing despite me sending a photo and despite the piece being one of just 2 identical poles supplied. I gave up and had the faulty piece repaired in order to complete the bed. I'm pleased with the bed, hence the 2 stars but the Original Bed Co score nil on quality control and after sales support. Poor

Bed arrived broken
Bed arrived broken. No one picking up the phone to get it sorted out.
Edit: They called me back an hour later, after seeing the missed calls and were able to sort out the first issue (it turns out the broken parts were actually just caps that needed to be removed anyway, they were very tricky to remove though).
Unfortunately, later in the assembly process, I found that the leg of the headboard was quite bent. Phoned up again and was offered a replacement but in 6 weeks due to not in stock. I accepted and bed is functional in the mean time. Good customer service but a shame the product was damaged (likely during manufacturing).

I was recommended the original bed company by a family member. I was not disappointed. Excellent quality for the price so sturdy. Looks amazing. Delivery was spot on. All in all I couldn't be happier with the bed.

Absolutely amazing customer service
Absolutely amazing customer service, bed arrived on time - arrow X-L brilliant service. We didn’t find it easy to assemble (but we are in our mid 70s) small mark on the frame but, when assembled was not in view. Slats just dropped in very easily. Would I purchase again definitely.
Replacement slats for my Carradale Metal bed frame purchase in 2007.
I contacted this company on this Tuesday to enquire whether they could provide me with a full set of replacement sprung slats for my Carradale Bedstead bought in 2007.
Would like to thank Tanya who went above and beyond to help me. She checked with the warehouse and the good news was that I received a replacement set on Friday of the same week. The Bed frame good for another few years, Very grateful for her help.
I bought a bed from this company 12…
I bought a bed from this company 12 years ago and as things do, they deteriorate. The side rail of the bed which had a cast end to it had broken off. Before I ordered a new bed, I thought I would call them and see if they sold spare parts for beds. A long shot but, to my amazement, they said yes! They sold me a complete new bed base including side, middle and end rails complete with all new bed slats with all new nuts bolts and washers, an installation kit all for £100 which included delivery to Pembrokeshire because they have an existing customer policy which is second to none!
Their manner on the phone was professional at all times, I was kept informed every step of the way. The transport company they used were also just as professional. A fantastic experience all round! Well done guys.
Juno wool mattress OBC
I have an OBC bedstead ( great quality and construction) for a few years and have recently purchased a Juno wool mattress.
Having done the bed shop rounds and being overwhelmed with the choices I watched the mattress making video on the OBC website and believed this company and product tick all the right boxes. I like the simplicity of choosing a natural filled mattress with cotton ticking cover, reasonably priced and made in the U.K. and looked forward to receiving my purchase.
On arrival the quality of the mattress surpassed my expectation and needless to say I am very happy with the product and the service I received from their customer liaison dept

First time buying and Iron bed…
I have recently purchased my first Iron bed, the 'Ashley'. I can honestly say that I love the bed. It is very well made, sturdy and looks the part!. The whole experience from ordering to delivery (ArrowXL) has been excellent. It was delivered on time and was very well packaged. I would highly recommend.

Second time buying an iron bed. They’re good quality and look lovely. Really sturdy, strong frames. Tall bed frame and love the adjustable bed heights. Easy to assemble and look fit to last long.
Only thing I didn’t like was the delivery. Paid £20 delivery and the DPD guy refused to carry it up the communal stairs to my front door. He only agreed to it when I came down to help in my nightdress and slippers. When spending £600 on a bed frame you would expect it delivered to your door. Also should’ve really included delivery in the price. I’ve noticed they now do so that’s better.
Great value beds
I recently bought the Solomon bed from the Original Bed Company in glossy ivory, and I love it. It's incredibly good quality, and such good value. It was quick to assemble, and being able to choose the delivery day was really helpful. I also ordered the Juno Silk Mattress, which so far is comfortable. However it has got less padding on the top than I was expecting, so some people might feel like they need a topper. I love that its a family business and all handmade in the UK. I had a few questions before buying, and the customer service was great. I would definitely buy from again.

Ugh. Proceed with caution.
Ugh, this is one of those life lessons where I didn't read the reviews. Absolutely no people skills or customer service. I was treated horrendously by them. I ordered a bed (not cheap, just over £1000) two weeks ago. I emailed to ask if there was one in stock and ready for Xmas. They abruptly said 'No, 9-12 weeks for delivery'. OK, no worries. Not particularly friendly, but no problem so far.
They then send me an email saying 'Your order has been processed and we are now working on getting it to you". I assumed, as would any sentient being, that this mean my ORDER had been processed and they were trying to get it to me. It then went on to say, WHAT NOW? And I quote 'Now we'll get your products ready for despatch.' So I send an email saying "Wow, thank you so much for doing it so quickly. Really made my Xmas!" No reply.
In the meantime, I sell my existing bed and buy a new mattress which is about to be delivered. 4 days later, as I expect they are busy, I call to ask if it is easier if I book a courier. I manage to speak to essentially an automaton. Frankly an answer machine would have been more empathetic and understanding. He condescendingly implied that I was an idiot for assuming that 'Your order has been processed' actually meant that. He said that it meant that my payment had been processed. Why didn't it say that then? Besides, I knew that. I already had their confirmation as such and it's debited my bank.
I ask why they don't just send an email saying 'Your payment has been processed.' to which he said, 'No one's ever misinterpreted it before.' That is surely a lie. Both my husband and I read that email and deduced the same thing. Not only that but he said that my email saying I was so happy it had been finished earlier (when it hadn't) didn't warrant a reply because it 'didn't have any evidence attached that I thought it had been finished earlier.' Really? What were they expecting? A brain scan? A photo of me selling my old bed? An affadavit? A selfie of my jumping up and down?
I asked if it would be possible just to change one word in the email to 'Your PAYMENT has been processed.'?
Then he slammed the phone down on me.
Nice. I'm sure they won't even deliver it now.
