**SCAM SCAM**

SAME HERE!! NEVER BUY FROM THIS COMPANY

The company are thieves.I bought one travel bag SIX MONTHS ago and from this time the are charging me every month $30.

The monthly fee is hidden when you order the first time.

I don't even have LOGIN info ..

Just with a quick google search I found tons of bad reviews for exactly the same thing.

ALSO .. The zipper broke for me two after only a fee weeks.

Frauds

Do not buy anything from this company. I bought 1 bag and they keep money out of my account. I did NOT sign up for a membership nor did it say anything about a membership. I will take legal action if not rectified and my money refunded. So DODGY.

This company needs to be avoided

This company needs to be avoided. I ordered one travel bag which I did get but now they have made 2 unauthorised charges to my credit card. I have now blocked my card to avoid any further charges. I will be reporting them to the relevant authorities. They claim that you sign up for a “Membership” which means they debit your Credit Card EVERY MONTH for about $US18.00. This membership is just complete rubbish - who needs to pay a monthly fee for “priority” offers or free shipping. After all, you can buy most of the stuff they offer from other sources. Be aware, folks and avoid this company.

Fraudulent billing for "membership" of Oak and Hearth

Like all others who have written about Oak and Heart on this forum, I've just discovered that I'm being billed USD$18.33 / month, and have been since June when I made a single on-line purchase. Reading the experience of others (and the ridiculous replies from Oak and Hearth stating that everyone clearly signed up to"membership" and received a "welcome" email explaining it - which I, for one, definitely did not) confirms that this company is clearly and knowingly extracting money from customers in a fraudulent manner. I've contacted them and await a reply. And, Oak and Hearth if you're monitoring this site, please don't bother repeating the rubbish about me or anyone else knowingly signing up for the "Oak Plus" service. Having to uncheck a pre-checked box in order to avoid paying a monthly fee, does not comprise consent.

All customers are required to review the terms of service in order to complete a purchase regardless of if they become a member or not. The consent and membership are seperate.

I too am being charged a bogus membership fee. It is buried deep in the terms of service contract at the bottom of the web site. I have sent several emails to the company and absolutely no response. DO NOT - I REPEAT - DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM😫😫😫😫

oakandhearth.com steals from customers

These guys are thieves. You buy one thing from them and miss their little message way down at the bottom of their check out page that says you are also purchasing a ''membership'' and then they keep charging your card. They always respond and say ''you signed up.'' No one signs up for their membership they are opted into it when they make a purchase and don't know it. They steal from you until you figure out they are stealing from you and then good luck getting them to stop.

Epic bag

Hi,
I purchased an epic bag & received it today. On your video there is a zipper at bottom that I thought when you zipper it open you could put items at bottom. My bag does zipper, but doesn't open enough to put anything down there. I'm lost as to how it opens & you could put flip flops when the bottom doesn't open

We have two versions of our bag, one is the expandable bottom and the other is the shoe compartment version. It seems like you bought the expandable bottom but if you email us we could help you exchange it.

This is a scam company

This is a scam company. I bought a travel bag (which I received). Consequently they started debiting my account for other monies for no other reason than to steal and engage in criminal activity. Stay clear.

The monthly fee which they refer to is hidden. Scam and unscrupulous company. DO NOT do business with them. Buyer beware.

False advertising and little customer support

I made a purchase from Australia not realising at first that was advertising in USD. Lost a number of $ through conversion fees and realised was not as good a deal as it had appeared in USD once converted to AUD. Also was signed up unbeknown to me to the 'Membership '. Reached out to Customer Support (Jackie) who initially was proactive and seemed supportive to fix communication issues, unsubscribing me from the Membership and offering to reimburse with various solutions should the product not be suitable. When the products arrived, they were not as advertised with faulty threading, thin material, smaller and less versatile, and the intention for use i had purchased them for became unrealistic. I again reached out to take up one of the offers given which was where the communication stopped. I am now down $120+ and have four bags of mediocre quality, good for general use only and not for travel as intended. I still receive advertising, yet no word on reimbursement or part-thereof as promised.
Please be careful with this company.

I bought the travel bag and am so unhappy with it. It is nothing like on the advertising. It is cheap material that will not stand up to be packed as shown. I’m so unhappy I have written to this company twice and received a generated answer of we will get back to you. I would have liked a refund as promised if not happy. I’ve been ripped off terrible company.

I too was conned with the membership…

I too was conned with the membership subscription that I did not sign up for or receive any confirmation for. The first time I saw the US$18.33 charge on my credit card I contacted them and was told this was my subscription fee. I told them I did not agree to this and to cancel. I received an email confirming cancellation but by that point a new bill came in with two more fees charged to it. Upon calling to question I was told that my membership had been cancelled and I would get no more billings however the only way I could be refunded was via an in store credit!! Based on my experience so far, why would I want to deal with them in the future? It has cost me more in "membership" fees than for the goods I ordered and as a senior on a fixed income I can ill afford to deal with this disreputabel company ever again.

Scam subscription fee! Do not buy.

Scam! Would give them 0 stars if possible. They charge a monthly bogus subscription fee and doesn’t make that part clear at all. I’ve read tons of reviews now of the same thing happening to others, wish I had known beforehand. Do not support this company!!

Received a beautiful e mail when I put…

Received a beautiful e mail when I put in the order for a travel bag and then an additional purchase of another one for $17.00.
A tracking number was then provided . No label yet created to track. This has now been 8 days. I did not sign up for any subscription and did not see any sort of subscription enlistment. If I see anything like that I will immediately return both items and will shout to the world via Social media. If any of this nonsense occurs I will also be contacting the BBB. You wonder why Amazon has got market on retail, this is the very reason. Where is my merchandise?

What a scam

What a scam. I bought a travelling bag from this company. Happy with the product. But...they have scammed me in subsequently charging £15 a month as a 'member of the company'. Absolute con. I tried to get the money back through tesco credit card suggesting fraud but they deny anything fraudulent. What a stink. I have now spent £70 unwittingly. Beware..leave O&H alone.

You signed up for our Oak+ membership when you added on priority processing to your order which is $18.33 a month after the trial period.

A welcome email was sent to you with details on how to create your account and link it to your membership this way you can access all of the benefits.

I brought their travel bag directly…

I brought their travel bag directly through Oak and Hearth, had no problem with delivery or communication from company although delivery did take forever.
The bag is poor quality, lining torn and button feel off, after one use it's going in the bin. Not worth the money.

Please stop advertising a sub par product. Shameful behavior and shoddy customer service. God does not like ugly, but then again, the God that you serve may just be money. Change your business practices and demonstrate some scrupulous behavior. Theft of any sort is a crime. When you take people's money without giving them anything in return, it is theft.
