We had a new conservatory supplied and installed by Northern Trade Windows, and the whole team was knowledgable and helpful. The installers -Daryl and Dale, I think were their names - were first class. The couple of minor issues we had were overcome with very little fuss. Will definitely use this company again.

Northern Trade Windows recently installed 4 windows and a door/frame for me. They were professional, whilst friendly, from initial contact throughout the whole process. The product quality is great and at a good price. The standard of workmanship of the fitters was excellent, they were also respectful of property and left all relevant areas clean and tidy. Overall very pleased with NTW and highly recommend.

Northern trade windows came to measure my bifold door and 3 external doors. And 5 windows. Very professional came measured. Then sent me quote. Then came back remeasured. Explained our bifold needed 6 openers were other firms were doing 5. Which would have made it hard to open been bigger glass units. Within 4 weeks all work done to a very high standard. Cannot fault these guys fantastic job nothing to much trouble. Would highly recommend and will be using again on next project.

Have used Northern Trade Windows twice now for Windows and doors and both times have had excellent service. The sales team don't use high pressure tactics like some other companies and give a fair price first time. The surveyor's are particularly friendly and professional and the fitting itself has been seamless. Have had no problems at all with my guarantees and warranty being received in the post. The after care has been fantastic. 10/10

Two sets of bifolds installed in 2021. Handle on one of them sheared off completely - no malfunction before, just the metal rod linking the two handles interior and exterior, completely snapped in two in normal use when closing, effectively locking us in from those doors. Exact same thing happened last month to a neighbour who had the same doors fitted at the same time. I called to activate the 10 year warranty I was told they came with. I'm told it does not apply to handles! Or indeed to 'any moving parts' - just the frames and glass. Their call out charge just to 'take a look' is £150. Just so customers know, if you are thinking of buying, the limit to the warranty they offer.

Well what can I say about this company. I am over the moon with my new front door :)

coservatory door not working as it should possobly multi point locking mechanism coservatory just out of 10 year warranty phoned them and they tell me parts may not be available suggested going to a specalist door repair company exuse me! the company tell you in advert they are specialst in the window and conservatory fitting they have done all the windows in my house plus conservatory will not be recomending them the / company phoned after seeing review not pleased because i did not mention the £150 call out charge this was to see if it could be repaired but no guarantee a part could be available so despite call out charge they may not be able to do anything which i thought was not on i would have paid but being negative over part availability put me off after all its not long out of warranty

I had a problem with one of the window handles on my bathroom , the window was installed approx 4 years ago When I rang the service line I was told that the handles only had a 1 year warranty, so not as advertised.
The company doesn’t seem interested in resolving my problem so my advice to people considering buying new windows is look elsewhere.

We needed a new front door, the guy who called was really good, gave a clear price without pushing for a sale. The door came 2 weeks later, it was fitted in good time and the guy did a great job and we are very happy. Good value, great products

I rarely leave online reviews, but our experience with NTW is by far the worst I have experienced with any company. We had two bay windows installed in 2023. The windows have been fine, but everything else has been atrocious.

The workmen smashed the old window in our bedroom while removing it. This embedded hundreds of tiny shards in the carpet, and they left without clearing it up. It cut open my foot when I walked in and sliced my dog's paw. I raised this complaint with NTW (amongst other issues including marked walls and me having to re-caulk the windows) and requested a 5% reduction in price. The managing director was sarcastic and rude, accusing me of extortion and accepting zero responsibility for what happened. He also implied that I had somehow faked images of glass shards in my foot for the sake of a 5% discount - both ridiculous and insulting.

They eventually agreed to the 5% discount but have since refused to give me the guarantee - a breach of their own contract. I have phoned them on more than 15 occasions over the space of 18 months, sent numerous emails and always just been brushed off with 'we'll get back to you', often in a rude manner. They now just ignore my calls completely. Clearly, once they have your money, they don't care at all about their customers.

In summary:
don't assume you will get a guarantee, even if they say you will
don't expect professionalism
Avoid this company - you'll find much better customer service almost anywhere else.

From start to finish a great service. We were recommended Northern Trade by my daughter and fully met our expectations. We were given a check list to complete when they finished the work to make sure they had completed the work to an efficient standard. Very happy with the company

For 6 years i have experienced issues with having to should barge my door in order to properly lock it, for the first 4 years i had numerous visits to adjust the door only to have issues again a few months later.

Recently i have been more adament that the door is not right and despite 2 visits last week adjusting the door the door is now worse than before they came and they just tell me that to door is fine because i can lock it (brushing over the fact i have to yank it or apply additional pressure to lock it).

After care is shocking, because i am not agreeing with them that the door is fine the installations manager who is also a complaints handler is rude and dismissive and has not been interested in looking at my numerous videos showing the issues that i am experiencing.

They need some customer service training and learn to accept that tou cannot please every customer and work with the customer to reaolve issues once and for all not numerous visits making constant adjustments to the door

Northern Trade Windows installed a new bedroom window for my 86 year old Dad (whose bedroom window wouldn't close). From the initial appointment with the salesperson to the visit by the surveyor to the installation of the new window, everyone was very friendly and professional. They were able to fulfil our order quickly which was very important to us. I chose to use Northern Trade Windows as I used them last year for new doors and windows in my own house and I was very happy with the whole experience then. Would highly recommend.

We recently had 7 windows and a door installed and we are very happy with the product, service and the overall experience.
The sales team were easy to deal with and Chris (the sales rep) was so helpful. Josh the fitter was really efficient and tidied up after himself.

Ordered windows with this company we agreed a price and paid a £5500 deposit after there surveyor came out we got a call saying it would cost an extra £5000 to have the windows fitted so we cancelled the order still waiting for the refund of our deposit which is over two weeks ago when I phoned to see how long it would take for the deposit to be returned the lady in the office was very rude and said that the managing director has to ok all the refunds I wouldn’t recommend using this company

I will not use this company again for my future requirements. It took more than 4 months from placing the order to reach a satisfactory conclusion to my order. Too many issues to list, including a serious safety issue, but overall, very poor communication and multiple failures to attend when stated or eventually to satisfactorily resolve the issues outstanding. Both the Finance company and Citizens Advice bureau upheld my complaint but the company have totally refused to accept any responsibility for their shortcomings. Not even an apology for their poor customer service.

We placed our order for UPVC sliding sash windows on 24/04/25. The representative who called out stated on the day that as the distance from their offices to our home was approximately 50 miles he would not be coming back. We felt somewhat pressured to go ahead and paid £4125 deposit. As we had misgivings about the sales tactics we contacted the office following his visit and was advised that the rep should not have said that and the distance would not have any affect on our order or after sales service. After discussing further between myself and wife we thought this was a red flag we should not ignore so we decided to cancel which was within the 14 days cooling off period.
We cancelled on 6/05/25 and were advised that it would take up to 7 working days for the refund to reach our account.
Numerous calls and e mails were made to the company all to no avail.
With no monies refunded by 22/05/25 we had to raise a dispute with our bank to pursue on our behalf as we were in danger of incurring interest charges on the £4125 debit on our account.
The monies were finally refunded on 17/06/25 a full 6 weeks from our cancellation. We had no communication from the company or apology on the length of time that it had taken, we only realised of the refund when looking at our account.
We would therefore definitely not recommend this company.
