We recently had a post completion survey on our new build. We were very impressed with Northern Survey and their professional and comprehensive approach in identifying our snags. Even after our appointment, they were very helpful with follow up questions/points of clarification so we felt confident in tackling issues with our developer.

I could not have chosen a better company to do my post completion inspection. Paul and Tania were professional, thorough, they spent hours inspecting the property from top to bottom. The peace of mind it gave me is priceless.

Very knowledgeable and professional. If you are buying a new house, please use them so that you don't get fobbed off by the builder for 2 years. I nearly found out too late.

They arrived and set to their work. Ittooka little longer than planned because there were so many items of snagging. They discovered several fairly major problems which Would never have been discovered without a thorough check.
As a direct result of their report the builder agreed to fix most of the snagging and the major items found.

We met with Paul from Northern Survey after almost two years of
battling with our new home builder over a poorly fitted front door
which had bowed and would not lock properly.

After nine inspections from the supplier and being told it was 'in
tolerance' Paul came out at short notice and inspected this door and
frame and found it to be out of plumb and distorted, contrary to
building standards.

Paul then met with the supplier at our home and agreement was reached
to correct the issue.

We will certainly be using Northern Survey again for
all of our future house purchases.

Contacted Paul and Simon to do a survey for me and needed it done asap, they fit me in when i needed and spent nearly 4 hours doing through the new build with a fine tooth comb, they were both warm, friendly and 100% trust worthy, after the survey they have even popped by the house to double check a few details as they were in the area and also kept in contact with the building site manager, I am so glad I went with northern survey, it’s gave me peace of mind, as they picked up many things I wouldn’t, the price was also reasonable, will be calling them back once all my snagging list is complete to make sure there is nothing else and that all the snagging has been completed to a high standard. I had called upon the services of Paul and his team at Northern Survey to help me out in my hour of despair as a result of a partially and poorly completed plumbing job at our property. Paul was able to get to the bottom of all the issues, and thanks to him I managed to get the plumbing works completed correctly (which he checked also to ensure the same scenario did not occur again with our new plumber). I am eternally grateful to Paul for all his work, and Tania also for all her help in arranging and setting this up. Thanks again.

up with two revisits for a retirement
home we built in the Scottish
Borders. Their service is exactly
what we wanted and helped us deal
with a very good local builder to get
the quality and finish exactly as we
specified - we could not travel to the
site as frequently as we would have
liked, living some 60 miles away
from the new property. The office
manager Tania, and the surveyors
were lovely to deal with from start to
finish, allowing us to change dates for site visits at short notice, and keeping us well informed and resolving any niggles with the builder. The result is a beautiful home that we hope to move into come July. I would certainly recommend this company and staff.

We booked a post completion snag survey with Northern Survey when buying a 4 bed property in North Shields. Although we bought the house from the first owner and not the developer, the house was only a year old and still within the two year defect reporting period, so we wanted to be sure all was OK before the defect reporting period expired. We checked out a number of snag survey companies in the area and went with Northern Survey on the recommendation of the next door neighbour who said she also used them and talked with one of their surveyors, Paul, who came across as super knowledgeable. Their prices were in the same ball park as some other survey companies, but the detail of the report and offer of a video briefing set them out from the rest. On the day of the survey, we had two surveyors at the house who went through the house with a fine toothed comb and even checked the house for heat loss and inspected the roof with a drone. Their report was so much more detailed than the Home Buyer report the mortgage company insists on, and is what I always thought a survey should be. Great value for money and far beyond our expectation, we have no regrets buying our home thanks to Paul and Simon @NorthernSurvey
