Helene’s dance sessions are pretty unique. These are a mixture of elemental dance and coaching. The sometimes fiery, other times flowy movements - along with the music - got me connected to my body and I now feel motivated to dance more. Thank you for the experience. 🩷

I went on a dance retreat with Helene recently in the forest of dean and it was wonderful. We danced to soul calling music, and we laughed, cried, walked up hills, swam in an ancient sacred well, ate gloriously delicious food. Helene is really good at adapting to the needs of the group, listening to everyone, staying flexible. She is also incredibly generous with her time and energy - we all felt tired on a wet and cold afternoon and she gave us Reiki. A real retreat, thank you helene xxx

I had a really great time at The Asha Centre on Helene's retreat. I had not done any Somatic dance before but that was really not an issue and I enjoyed the practice. I also loved the forest bathing. The venue itself is really remarkable, a true gem and well worth a visit. the food was also outstanding.
I was with a lovely group which made the whole experience all the more special. I have been home almost a week now and someone at work today remarked on how fresh I look so that is great that I still have that sense of space one week on! Highly recommended and I would go again. Vanessa

A Transformative Niio Dance Retreat in the Forest of Dean

Before the retreat, I was feeling anxious and stressed, with my thoughts constantly looping. I would often wake in the early hours with my mind in overdrive, unable to find any calm.

After attending the Niio Dance Retreat at Asha, I felt significantly calmer and more grounded. I left with practical tools to manage stress and maintain a sense of balance in my everyday life.

During my time at Asha, something truly shifted. My racing mind began to settle, and I learned to let go of self-judgment, practicing more kindness toward myself. I started to view my thoughts more objectively, which has continued to have a positive impact long after the retreat.

The setting itself was breathtaking. The Forest of Dean provided the perfect backdrop — serene, inspiring, and deeply restorative. It felt like a world away from everyday pressures, allowing complete immersion in the experience.

Helene was a wonderful guide throughout. Her approach was gentle, relaxed, and full of warmth, creating a space that felt both nurturing and liberating. She held the retreat with care and authenticity, making it easy to open up and fully engage.

The food was exceptional — every meal was thoughtfully prepared, delicious, and nourishing.

I would wholeheartedly recommend this retreat to anyone looking to quiet a busy mind, reconnect with themselves, and experience the transformative power of movement, nature, and mindful guidance.

Helene is a wonderful facilitator of conscious dance and somatic movement practices. I am greatly inspired by her work and creative vision.

I recently had the profound privilege of attending a Cacao ceremony and ecstatic dance class led by two radiant female guides, Ju & Helene.

From the moment I stepped into the sacred space, I could feel the energy shifting and my spirit awakening.

The ceremony began with the ceremonial drinking of Cacao, an ancient Mesoamerican cacao beverage revered for its heart-opening and consciousness-expanding properties.

As the rich, earthy elixir flowed through me, I felt layers of stress and tension melt away.

Our guides then initiated us into the ecstatic dance journey. The rhythmic drumbeats resonated in my core as I surrendered to the primal flow of dance.

For three transformative hours, we became a pulsing vortex of wild abandonment and divine embodiment. Sweat streamed as inhibitions dissolved and our spirits soared to realms beyond the physical.

Yet our guides held masterful space, ensuring we remained safe while exploring the furthest reaches of ecstatic freedom.

When we finally stilled, I was awash in waves of bliss, clarity, and deep connection to all of life.

I can't recommend this ceremonial experience enough for anyone seeking profound healing, self-rediscovery, and a liberating rebirth into their highest authenticity.

I danced for 8 weeks with Helene and it was wonderful. Her light guiding touch gently suggested themes and direction. She holds a really safe space. Her solidity based on her own life wisdom and willingness to dance into the unknown and be spontaneous. Tuning into the moment to decide where to take the session and having an absolute willingness to divert from the plan where needed.
The strength in her skill and yet maleability helped me to converse with places in myself rarely spoken with and lead to real insight, pieces of treasure that glistened at the heart of the dance demanding to be noticed and brought back. This is a really surprising and affective way to shift stuck energy in the body. To transform stagnant thought patterns and release through the body. I always come away feeling more clarity, lighter and more hopeful in my endeavours. Helene creates a dance space with questions to evoke feelings and then amazing tunes to let your body go and see the transformation. I really recommend giving this a try, not only is it possible to understand more about yourself and get clarifications but you also get to have a really good dance!!
