Terrible. Waste of money. Staff support is useless. Reneged of promises of extra time due to COVID. Finance team constantly messaging and lying. Total sham.

I’m In the same position as everyone else’s who has started this scam. 8k down with nothing to show for it. Leaving this review to help others avoid this trap of a company.

It all started when my partner really wanted a qualification in being an electrician as he didn't know what route to go down to start his career off. So, he called through a couple of company's and miraculously got a call from a Richard at newtradescareer and asked if he could come round and speak to us about the electrician course that might suit my partner.

Have you noticed how you can barely find anything about them on google?

Anyway so he came and spoke to us about financial expenditures and if we can afford the course, tutors will be there at hand, you'll get a level 2 & 3 qualification by the end of it etc etc. This was meant to be along side a full time job my partner is doing so that he could qualify in his own time which Richard said that he could complete this at any time and get a qualification which was the whole reason why this appealed to us a bit more. So we signed the papers and got on with it. My partner studied some of the modules and after part 1 of the course it says that he would need to go into a centre and finish that module with a test. Now bearing in mind we live in Essex the nearest centre available was SOUTHAMPTON!!!! 2 and a half bloody hours away from his hometown. Who has time for this on a weekend please??

Also, when you call up customer service the lady on the phone sounds like she really loves the job!! Not. Probably gets hurled loads of abuse at because of the shoddy company this is and she has to sit and defend it.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY. Look how many bad reviews there are compared to good. It really is a scam, they just want your money and there is no help for you after signing the agreement!!!! £7,000 will be lost with nothing to show for. I really hope that anyone reading this takes it on board because we was really lucky that we only had 6 payments left which we can deal with now and never have to worry about this company anymore!!!!

If this is one of you that is reading this right now, don't worry we feel your pain. We have been through it, let's just try and get the word out how bad this company is and hope for the best!!!!

STAY AWAY FROM NEW TRADES CAREER.

This company is a fraud and trades on the fact that customers are trying to better themselves and their situation. They take peoples money with nothing to show at the end of it.
Having just got my sons money back via the financial ombudsman from Carnegie finance for the miss sold electrical course from New Trades Career. This is what you need to know. Look at your income expenditure that the rep filled out when you signed up. If there is any discrepancy with your income and out goings, look at the financial ombudsman website and they can tell you the procedure that you need to go through. Look at your credit report, which is free from several companies and check, if it is not showing on your credit report, mention this to the financial ombudsman. All loans, credit have to be reported on a persons credit report, legal requirement. Look at the terms and conditions of New trades careers, they are ambiguous at best, especially clause 15, which does not mention whether it is for a plumbing or electrical course.
Write to New Trades Careers outlining why you want to cancel the course, and evidence to prove it, always send photocopies and not the originals. They have to legally respond to any complaint.
They will try and say that you have done so many modules so you should pay, your come back on that is, that if this was a normal college/ open university you would have a certificate which you could use, you have nothing from them. Did the rep say that there was only so many places left and not give you time to think before signing up for this course? If so mention that.
Secondly, New Trades careers, according to company house is a dormant company and has been for several years, so they should not be trading and they have paid no tax. Raise a tax fraud case with the tax man, they will be interested that they are trading and not paying taxes.
Thirdly raise a fraud case with action fraud online, the more evidence that the police have got the more that they can do something about this illegal practice.

Absolute scam do not use. I’ve got 4 more payments left finish in July and haven’t got anything to show for 7000 odd pound. Tried to cancel it but no joy not heard anything from them apart from odd text. I’d anyone is thinking of trying get there money back please let me know. Total Scam please avoid

miss sold the course from the very beginning, you get promised so much from the salesman and dont see any of it.
Help along the way, more like what help.
try to contact the tutors and dont hear anyting back or you get put on with a tutor from a total different department.
Do not Waste your money!

I finished my studies last week and recieved my certification. It took me 27 months and 2 weeks. I would like to thank all the staff for their help. Especially to Bob for all his help throughout all of my sessions at the centre. I already got a job as a plumber during the studies. In near future I wish to start my own business.

I am struggling to give them a one star review.

Please do not make the same mistake I did and sign up for any course with these people.

They have arranged the course in such a way to make you fail. There is a sneaky 36 month deadline (they will say its all in the terms & conditions) for you to complete all of your coursework, health and safety tests, practical sessions etc and there's just no way to finish it in time.

They offer you a 12 month extension with a different company for an extra £400 but even then there is no guarantee that you'll finish it within 12 months.

I have wasted £7800 and I am in exactly the same position as when I started.

The staff over the phone are also extremely rude.

Don’t get sucked into the false promises, you’ll be fed a load of lies by a salesman who offers the world, once enrolled you’ll get a bag and some books, then nothing except an automated text message maybe once per month if not less.
The customer service people are rude and unhelpful.
I’ve cancelled my payments and I’m willing to go to court.
Just don’t get involved!

This college is an absolute joke , do not enrol in this course what so ever they are scamming people out of thousands and on top of that they will speak to you like a kid . You will never get the qualifications they promise you . If you want to get somewhere I advise you to look for a more professional college where you actually get your money’s worth and come out with qualifications. More bad reviews then good legal action needs to happen now .

My experience with the company and product is very good. I've been with the college for over a year. Tutors are good, material is good the online tutoring is good as well. Can't complain.

I finished the course back in September. I received the qualification. I am not related to the manager. Guys, just do your theory, book your practicals, ask the staff to help you with portfolio. You've got 3 years to finish the course.

Don't care about their students. Not worth the money, policy and contract is terrible.

If I could give zero stars I would - they don't even deserve the one star. I just spoke to one of the customer service rep from this so called company and the woman spoke to me as if I was an idiot. She was soooo amazingly rude and defensive when we said we wanted to cancel. Don't dare sign up with them - very bad - my husband has been going around in circles for a while - spoke to a more recognised trading college - who say you have to be careful about this company - regret it - they took advantage of people because it was a lockdown - and people were vulnerable - don't sign up - It's a con - the ppl who put excellent must be related to the manager -

They are trading under 2 company names one is new trades career ltd and one is green 360 ltd both are dormant companies. They will steal your money no qualification. Taking them to court £7800 taken for no service or product and mis sold as a student loan literally everything they say is a lie. You will never see a qualification

Complete scam.
They promise you everything but deliver nothing.
They’ll take the best part of £8k and make you pay every penny. But good luck actually qualifying. Oh, they don’t tell you that there’s a time limit to complete the course in! Which is almost impossible to do it by!

This company is the biggest scam I've ever seen and unfortunately been a part of!!! they will send a door to door salesman and sell you exactly what you want.
When the course in filled with errors and misguidance.
£7800 pound for some out of date books that don't mean anything and a worthless CD. They will trick you into the finance option which you can't cancel of leave or get a refund. its actually a loan!! all they want is your money. all their videos are fake all the reviews are fake look at the names. please please please whatever you do don't get yourself caught up in this disgusting company.

I must say that I am very surprised with the bad reviews here. I am not saying that NTC is the best in the world but still in my experience the training is good. I've been NTC student for year and half. I experienced few issues with booking practicals and passing H&S test but other than that the training is fine. Also I meet other NTC students in the training centres and they seem to do well in the course. Normally I would put 4 stars but reading the other reviews I put 5 stars.

I am current student with NTC. I just wanted to say since I have started the course the team have been so wonderful in helping - advising I definitely made the right choice to start my new career becoming a electrician I've always wanted to become one. It a massive learning curve for me all very new I wanted to mention particularly tutor Gordon as his outstanding knowledge of the electrical industry is amazing. His training videos his detail in presentation - great.

I do not recommend this course to anyone, this course is a huge farce waste of time, nerves and money, which I will probably never get back for them, because as much as £ 7,000 is my great loss. for this situation ??? ehh sad that a man does something like that to another
