Zero stars! After a lot of confusion from the whole process. I finished the program finally a few years back. But now not knowing on my credit report they didn’t send charge of letter to the bank I owed. Had an agreement with the bank. But Newport never sent charge off letter to them. So now, how do I get that off my credit report?

Worst experience.They are literally cheating .They told me my program ends on January 2025 .But when I contacted them they are telling different stories and asking to pay till March 2025 .i asked how much is the fees they charge ,Fisrt they told me 25% and when I started asking more questions they changed the words to fees 85$ per month and then to 170$ per month .i enrolled for 18300 and will be ended up by paying more .waiting for getting the contract copy I signed initially to see if I can sue them for telling lies

I literally was lied to and deceived by the company. Pryer of getting involved with them, I was paying my credit card on time & on a regular basic. I was not one month behind on non of them.

They never once, mentioned that my credit was gonna suffer. I had a clean racket and a great credit. It was in the 7 700.

Being that I was financially struggling, they mentioned that I would save $2,300 if I join their plan, And in four years, I’ll be debt free. So I foolishly did joined their plan.

Once I realized in my credit have been damaged I contact them and they insisted that they have told me which she was a lie. Like I told them who in the right mind is gonna risk damaging their credit, their perfect credit to just save $2,300.

This four years would be completed this coming year 2025. And now this door so on pending they say they drop me. So not only did they take my money for the past almost 4 years $335 every month ruining my credit And they dump me just like that. If anyone knows Attorney cause I would love to sue them myself, take some legal action against then. In addition, when I called my supposed attorney and I tried to plied my case with him he just gets an attitude. This here is what I call a robbery without a gun.

There has to be something One can do about this unjust. They are nothing more than White Coller Skimmers and Another deceiving method.

FIRST: They are currently being sued and the negotiation department has been shut down. Please do not sign up with this company.

SECOND: They have lawyers that will lie to you. When you sign a contract with this company you are promised an annual review with a lawyer to discuss your account and progress. Not only did these meetings not happen for me, but I had a lawyer reach out through email claiming we had talked that morning and what we talked about. When I sent Newport my call logs that day to support my claim that we did not have a a conversation, they simply stated " The documents will be added to your profile." They have done things to make it right and have not responded to my BBB complaint. They simply don't care about there customers.

One star is to much for them. Please don't trust them and don't let them do anything for you..I had 36 months payments for my credit, they charged me 40 months every month $354..now after 40 months my score is 430 they owe me $1418 ,so they just got money from you and do nothing..I locking for lawyer to soo this company also I report to IRS

I recently refinanced my home and paid off all of the creditors through Newport Legal Group. I sent them drafts for over $15,000 and I see nothing has been paid off. I have tried to contact them for months and have been put on hold for hours only to be disconnected. I have contacted my lawyer.

If I could give negative stars, I would. I've paid out over $14,000 over 2 years to these people and they have done exactly zero to assist in any of my debt relief. Attempting to speak to someone is a joke. After 30 min on hold, you'll still be 20th in line. When you email them, they respond to you that you have call in. Their chat support is a useless robot. I'm currently seeking legal action against these crooks.

Everything was going good with New Port Legal Services the first 2 years. But now I have called several times to to be on hold for over 30 minutes and never talk to anyone. Then I have sent several emails with no reply. But the 30th of each month they sure take that payment out. I'm not even sure they are still in business. Might have to get an attorney to look into them.

All the money that came out of my checking account every month was 420.00 they could have paid off all my debts in two years they r lies and thieves don't trust them and never use them stay far away.

They promise to lower the debt payment. I ended up paying much more than my original balance, and i have three legislations because they didn’t work on anything for a very long time. They are fake, and very soon the IRS will
get them

Newport Legal Group promises ease and security through this process. They promise to be a partner who has your back. The reality is the exact opposite. Once you are in the program, you are a number with little value. Very poor customer service. Overworked and disinterested attorneys. They could care less if you get a good deal with your creditors.

DO NOT, I repeat. DO NOT utilize their debt consolidation services. They will pocket your funds and not resolve any debt. I was foolish to believe that they would resolve debt of $300, $500 after contributing $5000 only to have them respond, "those were the fees they charge when the total resolve of my issues amounted to $19000. If you engage them be warned! I am surprised that they have not been disbaned by the BBB or the IRS.

I had a great experience with Newport and completed the program ahead of schedule now all my credit cards are paid off!!

If I could give Newport legal no stars I would. As others have stated, they prey on the weak. In our personal experience, they took over $8000 over the course of a year & 3 months. In that time they paid off one bill which was a little over $1000. The remaining $7000 they are keeping for “fees”. We asked for the money back and told them we no longer wish to be in their program. We were taken to court by one of our creditors, and they won. Newport assured us that they were taking care of it, but they did not. Not only were we responsible to pay that creditor off after they froze our bank accounts, and left us with no money, we were also responsible to pay their legal fees. Newport showed no compassion or sympathy whatsoever. We are beside ourselves. You are using a company like this in the first place because you need help and you’re trying to do the right thing. Then they hide behind the fact that you signed a contract stating that it’s OK for them to keep thousands of dollars in fees and not pay off your debt with the money they are taking from you. I am asking that if you are reading this review you take me seriously and please stay away from this company. They will not help you. They will make it worse. Contact your creditors personally. Go to your local bank. There is no reason whatsoever to pay Newport Legal thousands of dollars in fees to pay off debt. They don’t pay it off anyway. They take months and even years (and sometimes not at all) and you will be left with the aftermath. It really is a shame. And we will not stop here. There has to be a way for this company to be held accountable for what they are doing. It’s sickening.

I have made mistakes in my life. I have never made a bigger mistake than going through Newport legal group. Please trust me. When I was first contacted it must have been a telemarketer. He told me that I could not be garnished. NOT TRUE! My wages started to be garnished by one of my creditors. There was nothing I could do about it. Obviously I could not pay both Newport AND the garnishment. When you call Newport for LEGAL advise the person on the other end of the phone could not help with their 8th grade education. When you try and leave a message for an attorney they never call you back. BELIEVE ME PLEASE! Do not make the biggest mistake of your life. I just had my hearing for my chapter 13. You are better off getting in touch with your creditors and trying to work it out on your own or filing some sort of bankruptsy. Thank you and good luck...

This is the MOST HORRIBLE debt resolution company I have ever come across. Most of the people that work in this company are from New York City and these are about the rudest "supposed to be professionals" I have ever come across in my life. SOME of the agents are ok, but as soon as you request to speak with a manager or supervisor, you quickly come to realize why the agents are so rude since professionalism starts from the top to the bottom. The leaders are rude, egotistical New Yorkers who act like our account is their personal business. It's disgusting. They messed up on a few of my withdrawals a couple of times, then it took like 3 months just to get a refund that they owed me. THANK GOD due to my improved credit I was rescued out of this debt program with this unprofessional company. Also as a side note, when they solicited me to sign up, they made it like it was the best company in the world. The negotiator was very rude that I was dealing with and they all have this entitled air of arrogance and entitlement to your account. I am not sure if it's because they work from home so they think they are all that, but yeah, I would not recommend using this company. Also my negotiator Sam Greco didn't even know how to track down a creditor of mine. He just kept contacting me like he did not know how to do his job and track anyone down. In my mind I'm like " aren't you a negotiator?" You could tell that he did not want to do any hard work. So thrilled to be done with this horrible company and rescued by a better one! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. You have been warned.

I been paying Newport Legal group for 21 Months already my term agreement was for 24 months. This week they contacted me saying that they haven’t reached and agreement with one on my creditors. And that they have to extend my payment plan longer the 24 month. I pay the $414.00 a month. And they couldn’t tell me for how much longer I would have to continue paying them for. Right now I don’t feel comfortable with this company I feel I made a bad mistake and their customer support team are not really that helpful or clear about the situation.

Call you banks yourself and settle your debt yourself. You don't need a negotiator (that the banks won't even talk to), you don't need an attorney (that won't answer your calls). You will waste time and money. Run from these people.

For me, I spend over $6,000 in admin fees to these people and they wait till the very very last minute to settle your debt. That was money that could have gone to the debt.You will have paid into the program for a year accumulated enough month to pay off or settle your debt and then authorize them to settle and they still take months to even talk to your debtors. All while you are being sued by your banks and your credit is destroyed. Don't even work with Vesara lending for a loan, just call your banks. It's not scary. And tell them what's going on. Your bank will care more than these people, because the longer you take to settle your debt the more these people make and the more money your bank losses. So just call your bank and don't mess with these people. It is really a horrible program. Despicable.

I will end up paying more than I owe. This company is a SCAMMER!!!. They've been taking money out of my account for a year and a half. Now that I finally settle with one of my debt, I actually will be paying more than I owe. And they will continue taking money out of my account until my other debt of $1,100 is taking care of. They will cause you a lot money, stress and you'll end up with a bad credit as well. If anybody files a lawsuit against this company, I'm on board.

I have been trying for some 20 days to get a statement of my account from Global an affiliate of Newportlegalgroup. I have contacted both companies. Global refuses to email me my info and the Newport rep refuses to send me a statement. What kind of legitimate financial company refuses to account for monies sent? Don't apologize. Meet your obligations!! My computer is not able to download.
