1 Star SCAM ALERT
⭐1 Star – My Experience with Native Book Publishing
Based on my personal experience, I strongly caution authors against signing a contract with Native Book Publishing without thoroughly researching the company and understanding exactly what you are agreeing to.
I entered into an agreement with the expectation that the company would honor the terms outlined in the contract and subsequent communications. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. I encountered repeated delays, inconsistent communication, and promises that were not fulfilled. Most concerning, I was given multiple assurances regarding a refund and specific resolution dates that ultimately came and went without action.
As an author, I understand that publishing timelines can change and that occasional misunderstandings occur. However, when a company repeatedly provides deadlines, fails to meet them, and does not follow through on its contractual obligations, it raises serious concerns about professionalism and accountability.
I have maintained copies of contracts, emails, and correspondence documenting my attempts to resolve the matter in good faith. I provided multiple opportunities for the company to make things right before considering legal action. Unfortunately, after exhausting those efforts, I felt I had no choice but to pursue other avenues to seek resolution.
My advice to other authors is simple:
* Read every contract carefully before signing.
* Get all promises and representations in writing.
* Research independent reviews and complaints.
* Ask detailed questions about refund policies and timelines.
* Do not rely solely on verbal assurances.
* Trust your instincts if communication becomes inconsistent or evasive.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Native Book Publishing. I encourage prospective authors to do extensive due diligence before entering into any agreement. Publishing your work is a significant investment of both your finances and your dreams. Make sure the company you choose demonstrates transparency, integrity, and a willingness to honor its commitments.
