Dislocated left shoulder/ broken upper arm.
After submitting my claim with relevant information and documents it took 3 and half to 4 weeks for my first payment to come through after they claim to pay out after 2.
After a few emails and calls I was asked for further proof of my fractured/broken upper arm, if a doctor's signed certificate wasn't enough. I had to go back to my GP and ask for a letter out lining that I DID have a fractured/broken upper arm after falling from height and dislocating my shoulder as well.
Further more National Friendly's communication skills are questionable due to not knowing when payments were gonna be paid out...
Not a happy customer....

I bought a insurance for being a…
I bought a insurance for being a self-employed sole trader. To be honest in hope I would never have to use it as I'm very rarely ill. Unfortunately I tore a, muscle in my back and trapped a nerve. I went and had a mri and was told to rest with medication. Which means I don't earn a living.
I called national friendly and spoke to a handler who straight away red tapped me with saying they don't pay out for back pain. And I had to prove what I was saying was true and I'd need a mri. Which I already had told her I did. Then she side stepped to it would take weeks to deal with. This to me is sub standard service and seems they'll take your money until you need to claim... My advice is to avoid national friendly there not as friendly as they seem

They take your money and its been 4 weeks and nothing no communication apart from emails saying we have received your email and will be in touch and I rang and the guy was not helpful at all so im going to cancel my policy will never recommend this company to any one
