Excellent

Excellent - I couldn’t believe it when my claim was paid so quickly, a matter of days! Claimed on Thursday and paid on Monday. Thank you. I had claimed before for a dental, the same again paid within days. Excellent all round service. Would highly recommend

Speedy service when claiming!…

I asked the vet to claim directly from Napo and just paid the excess, to which they agreed. I have received an email today saying Napo has received the claim and would be reviewed within 2 weeks. An hour later I received an email stating it was approved! That is so much quicker than expected. Well done Napo!

Do not recommend

Have been with Napo for years with premiums increasing every year without fail. Have never had an issue in the past with claims however they now seem to be trying to get out of paying a claim for an accident & sending accusatory emails asking why my dog was given a DOGS toy.

Would not recommend.

I'm really pleased to hear you've never had any issues with claiming in the past.

I can see this most recent claim was paid the day after we received it which is great news as we know how important it is to get speedy turnarounds on these things.

As our team explained in their email, our intention wasn't to get out of paying nor to accuse you of any wrongdoing - it's simply when a pet has a history of eating things they shouldn't, we just need to double check all usual precautions are in place to minimise the risk of it happening again. Once we heard back from you, we could see you had already taken steps towards this which is fantastic.

Avoid Napo if you actually plan to use…

Avoid Napo if you actually plan to use the insurance.

My renewal has jumped from £20.61/month to £64.89/month. That is more than triple, with no meaningful justification.

What is worse is that when I searched for alternatives, Napo themselves appeared offering what seems to be the same cover for £35.21/month. So new customers are offered significantly lower prices, while existing customers who have actually used the policy are charged far more.

Once you claim, you are effectively trapped. If you try to leave, pre-existing conditions are usually excluded elsewhere, so you are forced to either accept inflated renewal pricing or risk losing cover for your pet. That is not a fair position to put customers in.

The only obvious difference is that I have made claims. In other words, you are penalised for using the product as intended.

This pricing approach feels like extortion and is frankly disgusting.

I have raised a formal complaint and will escalate this further if it is not properly addressed.

If this is how customers are treated after they claim, you are better off avoiding them altogether.

Thank you for helping Felix when we needed it most

I do not think I will ever be able to properly put into words how grateful I am to Napo for everything they have done for me and my little Felix this week.

This has genuinely been one of the hardest, most frightening and emotionally exhausting weeks of my life. Watching Felix become so poorly with HCM and CHF has been absolutely heartbreaking. Anyone who loves their pet like family will understand the sheer panic, helplessness and pain of seeing them so unwell and not knowing what is going to happen. I have been running on pure stress, fear and adrenaline, trying to hold it together while rushing around, arguing with vets, trying to sort transport, and fighting just to make sure he got the treatment he needed.

I was honestly dreading contacting the insurance because you hear so many stories about companies making everything harder when you are already at breaking point. But Napo have been the complete opposite in every way.

They have been incredible.

Lou, especially, has been an absolute angel through all of this. She has listened to me when I was upset, let me cry, let me vent, and never once made me feel like I was too much, even when I know I probably was all over the place. She was kind, patient, understanding and just genuinely there for me at a time when everything felt like it was falling apart.

What meant the world to me is that she did not just treat it like a job or read from a script. She actually cared. She advocated for me, fought our corner with the vets, and stepped in when Felix’s treatment was being delayed because they were trying to charge me twice. When you are exhausted, heartbroken and terrified for your pet, having someone actually stand beside you and help carry that weight means more than I can ever explain.

At a time where I felt like I was drowning, Lou and Napo made one part of this nightmare feel safe, easy and manageable. Everything was dealt with quickly, smoothly and with real compassion, and that is something I will never forget.

This week has absolutely broken me, but the support I have had from Napo has made a painful and traumatic situation that little bit easier to survive.

Thank you for caring about Felix. Thank you for caring about me. Thank you for showing kindness when I needed it most.

No Hassle, No Judgement – Just Great Service

After what felt like an endless and honestly stressful search trying to find insurance for my American Pocket Bully, I can finally say how relieved and happy I am to have found Napo.

So many providers either turned us away or made the process incredibly difficult purely because of his breed, which was really disheartening. Hugo is part of the family, and all I wanted was to make sure he’s protected.

Napo, however, made everything straightforward and welcoming from the start. They didn’t make us feel like a problem to solve — just responsible owners looking after our dog.

We’re genuinely so grateful to have found a company that accepts Hugo without the hassle. It’s given us real peace of mind knowing he’s covered.

I highly recommend Napo. Plain speak and quick resolution.

This is the second time I have had to claim and I am very impressed and relieved how quickly they accepted and paid out my claim. I had no reason to think they wouldn’t but when I was so lost in worrying about my schnauzer I couldn’t really think straight. They replied quickly to the claim and in plain speak they advised what I had to do.

My Yorkie was very poorly but Napo.Pet was there to assist me every step of the way

My Yorkie was very poorly and needed expensive veterinary treatment, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for better support.

Napo Pet Insurance also offer 24/7 access to a video vet and behaviourist at no extra cost, all for a very competitive premium.

Hands down, Napo Pet Insurance are the best. From starting a claim—which is incredibly easy—to receiving the money in your account (once approved, of course), it takes on average just 5 working days.

I’ve had two previous insurance providers, and both were difficult to deal with and took over 45 days to eventually pay out. Napo Pet are nothing like that.

They are simply amazing—completely hassle-free. An insurance company you can genuinely rely on when you’re already stressed about your pet.

If 1 of 2 dogs get ill always take them to vet, never normally make a claim, usually minor problems checkup maybe some medication cost £80-£90, but had to make 2 claims for tests and a operation costing almost £4000 maximum for my insurance napo paid up fast and kept me informed * * * * *

I am the proud owner of a French…

I am the proud owner of a French Bulldog and I always insure her. Most vet bills seem to just hit below the excess limit so it leads you to wonder if you even need insurance. However, I have insured my pooch from the day I got her (hoping I would never have to claim.)
I had just renewed my insurance and switched from another provider to Napo. Unfortunately, shortly after my Dog became ill with pyometra. I was worried sick about my Girl as I have lost a Dog in the past at a young age. The last thing you want to worry about in a life and death situation is finding money to care for your dog or having to skimp on care because you are funding it yourself with limited funds or a credit card.

So I rushed my Dog to the vets and she was quickly diagnosed and rushed into surgery. The bill came to £2000 which is half of my limit. I was so scared that my Dog might not make it but also about whether or not the insurance would find a way not to pay out.

With Napo I didn't have to worry at all. I paid my bill at the vets and submitted my claim online. My vets submitted the invoices on Napo's online portal and within less than a week my claim was settled and the money was in my bank.

I wholeheartedly recommend Napo. They were so kind and straight forward with me. They had to do checks to make sure I was eligible for the funds but this was all done with politeness and empathy. The first thing they did was check that me and my Dog was ok, which says alot about a company.

Their staff are genuinely kind and caring and they were a pleasure to deal with.

Whilst I never wanted to be in a situation where my Dog was seriously ill, they made the whole process easy and took a massive weight off my mind. They really do go above and beyond for their customers.

I pleased to report that my Dog is getting better and I am going about singing Napo's praises!!

Keep up the great work and thanks for looking after us so well.

FirstUse of FirstVet

I had to use the FirstVet service for the first time today in order to access some advice regarding medication doses. The vet I spoke to was really helpful and friendly. He explained everything clearly and was very reassuring. He's gave me the knowledge I need to be confident that I am medicating my girl properly. Thank you Dr. Sousa!
