When we say “we”, we just mean the small team behind MyTenNights, MyTenDays and MyFridays, all run under Shamaazi Project Ltd (a UK-registered company). We realise that might not always come across clearly, so appreciate you calling it out!
In terms of donations, 100% of what you give goes directly to the charities you choose. We don’t take a cut. The only funds we receive are optional tips from donors who want to support the platform, which helps us cover running costs.
Also, MyTenNights doesn’t actually hold the donation money. Funds go securely from your bank account to a charity account managed by our donor-advised fund (DAF) partner, adding an extra layer of oversight.

I had a very concerning experience with…
I had a very concerning experience with MyTenNights. I originally made donations through the platform starting in 2019. However, in February 2026, money was taken from my account automatically without my consent and without any confirmation email.
I had not signed up for any new recurring payment, so this was extremely worrying. When I looked further into the company records, I discovered that the original company had previously filed dormant accounts, meaning it was not supposed to be actively trading during that period. I also found that the company had later been dissolved and another company appears to have been set up afterwards.
This raises serious concerns about transparency and how donor payment details are being handled. I have now contacted my credit card provider to cancel all recurring transactions and dispute the payment.
If you have donated through this platform before, I would strongly advise checking your bank statements carefully.

MyTenNights does not initiate donations without a valid authorisation. Many donors choose to set up automated or scheduled donations, and we send reminder emails ahead of any upcoming payments. It may be worth checking your junk or spam folder in case these emails were filtered there.
If a donation was taken that you did not intend to make, we completely understand how concerning that can feel and we would be very happy to investigate and resolve this quickly. Please contact our support team at contact@mytennights.com with the email address associated with your donations and we will look into this for you as a priority.
Regarding the company records mentioned, the change relates to Shamaazi, the company that operates the MyTenNights platform. This was simply an internal entity change, which is a common practice as organisations grow, and it did not affect how MyTenNights operates, how donations are processed, or the safeguards in place for donors.

A fraud! most likely
these guys seem to be a fraud. they have been deudcting money from my credit card and despite having emailed them a few times, i didnt get any response while they have kept charging me. just opened a dispute. so i wouldnt be donating to them again for sure.
I see that mytennights has responded to feedback to which i would say that rather than writing lengthy responses here, where you care about your public image, you should have focused on responding to queries to your customers, which you still havent. its pathetic!

My feedback
Assalam waleikoum. I have been donating to mytennights for a few years. For Ramadan 1446, I began to question whether it was a legitimate organization and whether my modest gifts were being put to good use as stated in the organization formal statements.
I did a bit of research and read different reviews. Based on the information I gathered, I am reading to contribute again this year. However, I hope the organization will be more forthcoming with transparency as they promised to do.
Some of us have been victims of misbehaving groups so it makes charitable giving less appealing these days.

A Payment Plan was Made Without Authorisation From Me
I used them to set up weekly Friday donations and chose to stop the service a month ago. However, I suddenly received an email today saying that another weekly payment (of an absurd amount) have been scheduled to my account. This is definitely an unauthorised transaction as I've never touched the account or website again since I stopped the previous payment plan. To add on that, the "Cancel Schedule" button now doesn't work as eventhough I've clicked it to cancel the unauthorised payment, it doesn't do anything.

A Great Platform
I have used the platform to make payments to charities and automate my donations. They are NOT a charity, and they do not claim to be a charity. They partner with charities to whom the money is given. I have used the service for a few years and will continue to do so. There is nothing on their website that suggests that they are a charity. It is a tech platform that makes giving money easier to charities.
The donations go to the charities. It is possible to make additional payment to support the platform, which individuals should be doing to ensure that the platform can continue to provide support. I really struggle to understand how individuals expect the individuals involved to provide the services (negotiate with charities, reach out to people, respond to customers, etc. if they are not receiving funds to pay for these activities. Even maintaining the fintech licence and code requires funds. Also, it requires hiring individuals and paying salaries.
I feel it would helpful for the Company to include a section, which explains their service and how they operate. The information is not easily available and requires some digging around. It would also be helpful to clarify their other fintech products, etc. the Company needs to provide better information about themselves and their platform.
However, for the service they provide. They are extremely good.

Company for profit!!!!
I have been a regular user of my ten nights for several years, but during last Ramadan contribution I was promised to be awarded Amazon vouchers for introducing 2 friends, which I did. I received the confirmation email from ten nights but never received the voucher or response despite writing several emails.
I have lost the trust in this "Charity organisation." Why make a promise, especially in Ramadan!!! May Allah guide them to tread on the right path.
Like @Joynal Hussain I will donate next Ramadan directly to charities by DD or standing order.
SINCE WRITING THE ABOVE REVIEW, I HAVE NOW RECEIVED THE PROMISED VOUCHERS. IT WAS LACK OF COMMUNICATION WHICH LED ME TO WRITE NEGATIVE FEEDBACK.
