Inconsistent speeds. Frequent dropouts and ZERO way of contacting a living person on the phone when something goes wrong; which happens very often.
Packaged advertised as 1000/50. Never got over 250Mbps 99% of the time.
First put in this review on 22/04 and was promised this will be looked at. It is now 11/05 and still all I get is a reponse once week or two telling me the issue is still being looked at. How long do I have to deal with incompetance while the company is still billing me full price??!!
Ping turnaround time is worse than most dsl and hfc networks even when running on FTTP.

Nearly impossible to contact ..Waited 10 days to be connected after being told everyday it would be soon they contacted me and told me it would be another 4 weeks..6 weeks to connect an already established broadband connection ..rang telstra and they connected the next day..don't use my republic there service is rubbish

TERRIBLE service if it wasn't dropouts it was slow speed I was with them just short of a month and couldn't change providers quick enough trying to get service was a waste of time.

Looking for a new internet provider? Move along, nothing to see here.
I've had a terrible experience with MyRepublic since moving to NBN. I've been connected with them for about 3 years, and I'm finally moving on. After countless dropouts and almost full days without connection, I can't take it anymore. The worst thing about MyRepublic is it's impossible to talk to a human on the phone. The online chat usually drops out before getting to chat to a person, and then once you do finally get onto a person, they cut you off after 20 minutes, almost like they have a time target they need to hit for each ticket. I'm extremely disappointed with the service.

When assistance is needed they are not available to speak to on the phone. The chat line goes around in circles and does not fix the problem. Their rates are cheap and when the service is working it is fine but when you need to fix something it is a very long and difficult process. I do NOT recommend My Republic
My Republic your response sounds great in the message you wrote. My internet is down today as it is for a lot of your customers. I tried on numerous phone lines before I finally found one all resulted in being hung up on before I got to speak to person. The recorded phone message advised me someone would call me back if they determine if it is worth a callback. This is not good enough at all. I still have not recieved a call back I dont have internet at home. I'm contracted with you until April at which point I am going to change providers I would rather pay more money and have a service that I can contact when there is an issue. I would also rather pay more money for a service that works. I still do NOT recommend My Republic.

MyRepublic.... worst Internet provider I ever had!
I was with AB 100/20 and I thought that was slow internet and jump with myrepublic 1000/50 thinking this will be better but it is far worst than AB 100/20. Now I'm looking for a better ISP

horrendous and disrespectful customer service
After 4 years wit this company and a few bad experiences its just got worse to a whole new level. the speeds etc have been generally OK, but the customer service from this company is so bad I cannot believe they are still in business. words cannot describe the horrendous treatment I have received. I still have no connection after 4 days of them wasting my time , the ridiculous chat bot blocking me and dropping out when I finally get through they make me repeat myself then it drops out again they send a message saying there will be an email sent to follow up , the email never arrives etc etc etc .... now apparently they will get someone to call me back. yeah right. currently looking for another provider .

the fact you reply with a link which i used over a month ago and did not receive a reply just reinforces my review that your service is trash just like your support. disgusting business model stealing money from people.
i suggest people reading this DO NOT use this isp. do yourself a favour go to superloop aussie broadband or mate Internet.

Crazy good speeds, slow support staff
I am more than blown away with how consistent the speeds are however the only thing I would advise new customers is that the support is quite poor. The live chats take ages for the simplest response and the phone lines only operate on business days during business hours. If you run into no problems like I did you should have an overall good experience but just always keep in mind support when choosing a provider

So Far peak hours are terrible
The change from Aussie Broadband to My Republic was quick done within 15 mins.
While my upload and download speeds remained the same on 100/20 my ping did increase a fair bit.
with ABB i was getting 8-12 ping but with My Republic I'm getting around 20-30ping so will see how it impacts my gaming but considering its $30 a month cheaper than abb for first 6 month will give it a go and see how it holds up so far its been good but its way to early to tell as only been wiht them for about an hour now

was working fine till peak hour at around 5:30pm all the way till around 10:30pm my internet speed went to trash sitting in the low 13-20mbs my ping also increased to around 40ping my speed hasn't been this slow in the past 10 years that ive lived here will give it 1 more day and if peak hour speed sit this low i will be changing back to Aussie broadband at least during there peak hours it was only slowing down to 80mbs when i was on 100/20 when i was on 250/20 it only slowed down to 200mbs
so yeah not sure why the massive difference in congestion and ping but so far off to a bad start with My Republic
Update 2nd day
so off to the same issue and around about the same time 5:30pm -10:30pm
the speeds drop yet again not as bad as previous day but still in the low 20mbs was causing lag in my game of forza when it started happening dont think ill stick around long as i never had this issue at all with Aussie broadband
Update its been a feww days now since i connected and it still hasnt gotten any better infact i think its gotten worse today from 11am till now 5pm its been under 20mbs all day long with constant instability watching youtube of netflix is constantly pausing can handly run netflix or yourtube on 1 device let alone the 3 of us at the same time on different devices voice chat in discord is constantly dropping out as well which is clearly network issue just overall a very bad experience with my republic I've put in for a refund and will be changing asap I never had this issue when I was with Telstra or Aussie broadband

Best hassle free internet provider
They are very competitive with their prices. I always get the speed I'm paying for. Any issues I might have are quickly fixed and they stay with you until all issues are solved.
Staff are always friendly and well mannered.

Worst company I have dealt with in years. Hard to believe they are in business.Absolute nightmare!
From the beginning there were red flags with My Republic.
No phone number. No support email. Nothing.
Only a chat bot which coincidentally would keep you online for about 30 minutes each time but just as you start to speak to someone disconnect you and you have to start the whole process again.
Forget about any call backs or an ounce of professionalism.
I finally had enough of not being able to catch a single individual for over 3 weeks and cancelled my order.
Today I get a message they have "successfully" switch me over, except they haven't.
So now I have no internet. No ability to talk to anyone except a chatbot and if I call another provider it will be a few weeks without internet.
It's nearly 1pm and I've been on their chat since 10am.
If you have a life and internet is important to you, avoid this company.
Update: look at the pathetic generic response below as to what sort of company this is.
After acknowledging my cancellation they have attempted to switch me over again today. I won't have internet for a couple more days and need to contact NBN from blocking these guys touching our line.
Essentially an intervention order against an internet company. Be warned people. This company is one of the dodgiest I've dealt with in mg life.

Great service and friendly staff, what more could you ask for?
I was connected to an agent named Lauren, they were a very helpful, polite, professional and friendly staff member.
They answered my enquiry pretty quickly and even asked if I had any other enquiries, then asked if my first enquiry was resolved.
Lauren is the type of person I want to have on every interaction, as they made my first time contacting staff a pleasant one.
Kudos to Lauren and their ability to make sure they provide accurate information to the best of their ability.
