I have had an extremely frustrating and disappointing experience with mycar Tyre & Auto over the past year.

What started as a simple concern, a clicking noise during acceleration, has turned into a long series of costly repairs, repeated visits, and unresolved issues. Despite spending thousands of dollars based on their advice, my vehicle is now in worse condition than before.

In May 2025, I was advised to carry out multiple repairs including a transmission service, thermostat replacement, and related work, costing $1,683.70. I was assured everything was fine, yet the original clicking issue was ignored and blamed on the “age of the vehicle” without proper diagnostics.

I raised the same issue again during a logbook service in September 2025 ($500), after which the engine light came back on immediately. When I returned, I was again told there were no issues. Instead, I was advised to replace tyres, brake pads, and rotors to fix vibration problems.

Following their advice, I spent:
$1,052 on tyres, balancing, and alignment
$724 on brake pads and rotors

Despite this, the car remained wobbly and the clicking noise continued. Once again, my concerns were dismissed.

In April 2026, I returned yet again. Shockingly, the mechanics claimed they could not hear the clearly audible clicking sound, something any reasonable person could notice. Only after insisting was I told to replace link pins ($577.08), which also did not fix the issue.

Since then, the situation has worsened:
Clicking and suspension noises are still present (and louder)
Engine warning light has returned
Gear shifting issues have developed
Service indicator was not even reset properly

On top of that, I later discovered that the “new” tyres installed were not all from the same year — rear tyres were manufactured in 2024 while the front ones were from 2025.

This raises serious concerns about transparency and value for money. The rear tyres are already wearing faster, despite all four being replaced at the same time.

Overall, I feel that:

Proper diagnostics were never carried out
My concerns were repeatedly dismissed
I was advised to spend money on repairs that did not fix the problem
The service quality has been negligent at best
After spending well over $4,500, my car still has the same unresolved issues and more.

I cannot recommend this service centre. Their mechanic Gagan is unperturbed and I am not sure what sort of vetting was done when he was hired for he cannot diagnose anything on the vehicle despite of being told what is wrong.

Proceed with caution.

Was really happy with the service done on my car after being really unhappy with another service centre (different company) The issues they discovered which needed attention were discussed and explained. They consulted and were able to also fit in for same day. Highly recommend. Friendly staff.

Did not receive the requested 300,000 km log book service - error in entry;
Now I must now schedule another day to complete this service resulting in a fair bit of re-scheduling with my work calendar - not happy

Great customer service. Manager Mandy is very cooperative and professional. Listens to all concerns and attends everything and explains in detail. Very reasonable price on tyres and all relevant services. Highly recommended.

The book service for my car was done at a good price. They let me know what they are doing and how much it would cost, and when it would be ready. During the service they identified a couple of issues during the service and called me asking if I would like them fix the issues and how much this would cost. There was no BS. I will be back.

I was very pleased with the service and that they fitted me in very quickly. Had the car serviced and back in good time. I went back the next day and had two Tyers fitted at a good price. If they find that they have found any problems they always ring before they fix it. Can't recommend them enough.

First time going to this location and left fairly disappointed with the service. I was called back to pick up my car when it was finished with no communication between drop off and pick up. I was told that, among other things, I would need to return to have a headlight bulb changed. One would have thought someone would call to suggest such a simple task be undertaken that day. Same situation with rear tyre. Was also not advised that the workshop closed at midday - it was fortunate I was close by to pick up the car in time.

First time user and was extremely happy with the service. Discussion beforehand and explained the service. Completed before desired time and all paperwork provided with Discussion of faults which were presented and previously known, so honest and precise.

Parafield Mycar took me in when they didnt have to !!! My car was broken and they fixed it . They were straight to the point and showed me the invoice and amount and fixed my car. This place is incredible and service was amazing. Thanks guys your the best😘

Great service, car was completed on time, friendly staff, kept me informed of what needed to be done and the costs. Offered to drive me home if needed but I had plenty to do at Hollywood plaza shopping centre. Reprogrammed window winder that raa did not do when they replaced the battery earlier in the year. I'll be back.. 😂
