Really good service, friendly sales guy.

Service and 4 new tyres for a great price. And ready for pick up earlier than expected. Been using Mycar for many years and will continue to do so.

I booked my car in online when I went to the store my car wasn’t on the system , I had a booking confirmation on my phone, they took my car and did the service rang me about the brakes needing work they fixed the brakes and I picked my car up. It was all done very well

I took my car to another mechanic as you said I needed new brake pads and rotors. The mechanic said there is nothing wrong with my brake rotors, and that my brake pads have another 3-6 months on them. You get 2 stars because you replaced my battery and I do have a leaky gasket and need new tires so there was honesty there but you quoted me over $500 of work that doesn't need doing and stated that a new gasket which is $80 at supercheap costs more than $100. I will not be coming back to this mycar.

Being a long time customer since Kmart Autos, I've been given a 10% discount on all my vehicle servicing until recently at Charlestown NSW mycar. The managers excuse was that he didn't have the authority.
When I hear lame excuses, should I highly rate the experience?

Well, where do I start.
I made the appointment five weeks ago to ensure I was early and a pass for rego wouldn’t take all day !!
When I arrived at 8 am I spoke to mechanic booking car in and said that I needed two new tires as they had told me that at August service. I was told all up would be about an hour. I had rung a few days ago also to find out length of time so I could make dentist appointment for 10 am and assured my car would be ready. At 9.03am I was rung to tell me I needed two new tyres which I knew and had told them plus they needed my car another hour. Not looking good ! At 10 am went to MyCar thinking all was well, but no, now waiting on windscreen wipers. I thought that would take a minute but no ! They were on a 10.15 am delivery which didn’t come and eventually they rang them and they said not coming as didn’t have any wipers. Hence old wipers to go back on till they could find some however the mechanic had taken them off and bent them into the garbage so they then had to straighten them but found putting rubber on very difficult. I stood outside watching this and at one point the mechanic decided to inspect a car so put the job down, more waiting..eventually a younger lady mechanic was given the job of fitting them, by this time 11am. Well, they are on but not sure if working as nobody tried them and I’m not game so hopefully before rain MyCar will ring me that they have some or do I need to ring them !
Also apparently not standard windscreen wipers but as only MyCare has ever service that car then if changed in last four years they changed them.
Let’s hope no toothache over Christmas or again I’ll be rung with a fit in appointment which I was anyway!!

At other places when we have booked in for a rego check - it is done while you wait (about 15 mins or so). When hubby arrived at the appt time, he was told it would be an hour, he didn't expect to have to fill in that amount of time (with no transport)
When taking appts over the phone, this information should be mentioned.
