Very straight forward no hassle

I bought a new car at Motor point Sheffield last weekend, the service I received from Logan & Ryan was great. They were both very helpful & knowledgeable and made my experience positive. I would highly recommend this store and will return for future car purchases.

Highly recommend from start to finish. Wish we’d gone straight to the Sheffield branch and saved ourselves so much time. Really professional, helpful and not pushy. Special mention to Cameron and Brandon in sales and Oliver and Donna when we collected the car. All really helpful and friendly. Won’t bother going anywhere else next time we need a car.

It was easy. They let me look at the cars in Stock on the screen then showed me the cars. Quick and easy no pressure, cleaned the areas I wanted before I drove it away

Buying a car is usually pressure sales. At motorpoint there's none of that. The cars are priced on the window. You get a figure for yours and browse. No haggling just good deals.

A great car, a good price and a hassle free service. No hard sell, the price on the screen is the price you pay.

Motorpoint sold me a warranty as comprehensive cover for “anything mechanical or electrical”, with main-dealer repairs and no upfront costs. When a major insured mechanical failure occurred less than two years after purchase, they refused to cover most of the repair by labelling the resulting damage as “consequential”, even though they accepted that the damage was caused by covered part. I have now been without a roadworthy car for over four months, while still making finance payments, through no fault of my own. This warranty was not sold as it has been applied, and I believe it was seriously misrepresented.

Excellent experience. I had my car transferred to Sheffield. I originally spoke to Michael (Derby) over the phone, who arranged this. Michael was polite and professional. I had my appointment with Oliver at Sheffield who was also friendly, professional and polite. There was no pressure selling tactics which I really appreciated. Thank you.

Thought long and hard before posting this.

This vehicle was the THIRD car we have purchased from You, the first was an Audi TT, the second was a Vauxhall Astra we bought for our son (VRN FP16 BKF)
We eventually found the Astra had been involved in an accident and substantial repairs made to the front body and Chassis, which was not declared by Motorpoint on purchase.
Despite this, The present Hyundai was the car I wanted, at a competitive price, so we decided to spend another £27,00 plus, with you.

The Hyundai,
The car had paint damage to the rear tailgate, which was cosmetically repaired on the day we purchased the vehicle.

The Light unit faults are well documented, however on returning to the Motorpoint dealership after the initial purchase, my impressions of the dealership were contrasting.

Leah White was actually very pleasant, but I must make reference to the attitude of the Manager, a very unprofessional attitude, for someone in a position of leadership in a business where you rely on Customer relationships, and the hope of repeat business.
Very early in the introduction, without assessing all of the facts, or actually seeing the vehicle issues, he came out with the response of "You signed a disclaimer when you bought the car, so that's it really"

This was not what I was expecting.

The total cost of these replacements were as detailed below,

Replacement Tailgate strip, £880.00 plus labour of £216.00
£1096.00

Additionally, the High level Brake light was replaced as a result of being full of water and condensation, having previously being removed for what I can only assume was and earlier fault.
The cost for this work was £514.00 plus vat (£616.00)

Total value of repairs carried out, in the region of £1712.00

The repairs meant my car was off the road for three full days, and additional costs of travel to garages and Motorpoint as well, in trying to resolve the issues.
I have been inconvenienced both financially and practically.

To conclude.
I feel very bitter and disappointed in the way that Motorpoint have treated a repeat customer,
No Motorpoint staff have bothered to enquire with me, about the issues with the car, since my initial contact back in October.
These repairs have been left with me to organise, with no support from Motorpoint.

The issues with the car would have been known to Motorpoint at the time of sale, and after your so-called exhaustive inspections, prior to delivery.

Motorpoint sold me a vehicle which required repairs of £1712.00 and all the inconvenience,
I most certainly would not have purchased the vehicle had I known of these issues.

I contrast the poor attitude and customer care shown by Motorpoint, against the highly professional service offered by Read Hyundai.

We were eventually contacted by the site manager, after I had dealt with everything myself, who offered no more than a "good deal" on another car if we were interested!!

Spot on experience with Elliott in Sheffield branch when selling my Seat Leon. Gave me the asking price which was valued online, and was higher than everywhere else. On the day, Elliott was helpful, straight to the point and did exactly what I needed, including settling my finance. Spot on job for what I needed!
