Avoid do not be bullied by these

Avoid do not be bullied by these. Been harassed by TM Legal on behalf of there client Cabot for an alleged debt but have failed to provide the documents I've requested on 4 separate occasions.

A cease and desist notice was served against TM Legal for there failure to provide and advised that the courts had been been aware of there unlawful acts, and Breach of pre action protocol.

Now it seems they have passed it to this scam of a company..... Same applies to them too as far as I'm concerned.

Bully people for money but cannot provide the evidence of the alleged debt.

Threatening CCJ action... I say crack on. For it to be vigorously defended along with supporting lawful evidence!!!

Also Reported to the Ombudsman and SRA

Absolutely disgusting company

Absolutely disgusting company, please people do not be bullied into making payments you cannot afford, these people are disgusting, stand your ground and seek advice.
They are going to make people take their own lives due to the stress they cause, remember the government have put steps in place to stop companies like this, they are braking the law, remember to record all conversations and try your best to keep the conversation in writing.

Get nothing but harassed

Get nothing but harassed, threatened n bullied from them.. They are such an unprofessional, absolutely disgusting, shocking excuse for a company with vile people who work for them

these people are shocking

these people are shocking. Constantly harrowing people, and harrasing people, who have a disability.

I am deaf and have been since birth, yet they send me text messages asking me to call them, exactly how am I suppose to do that, via sign language down the phone.

They are so disrespectful and insulting asking deaf people to call them. I missed one payment of £50, because I was out of work, yet there chasing me for it. When your out of work and cannot pay means you cannot pay because your out of work, despite telling then they don't give a Sh**. If your out of work or not.

We have a constant rise of continuing bills and it is affecting everyone financially.

Rent / Mortgages going up
Gas and electricity rising 20%
Water Bills rising by 20%
Council Tax rising by 20%
Tv Licencing rising
Car tax rising
Food cost rising on a weekly basis,
Car insurance rising.

By the time this country has finished screwing people over we will all be in debt.

Unless people earn more than £60,000 pa, then £50. Or £100 is going to have to wait or write it off.

This county has gone to Dog Sh** and f****d up.

Harassed me for a debt I am paying them…

Harassed me for a debt I am paying them and never missed a payment. Asked for more money. Unlike other debt collection agencies who asked me if I can afford what I am paying. Cost of living crisis. Forget it. MCS are disgusting

Awful experience with this firm.

My partner has had a similar experience, I have discussed the firm with solicitors regulator authority to take action they need those effected to report them. For those interested they are co-owned by Cabot Financial management who also try bullying techniques by buying old debts and attempting to bully people into paying things they dont owe.

If I give a 0 I would. Something doesn't feel right with this company. They're good at destroying people's mental health.
We were in an iva and our loan with MC was in the iva. We started iva in 2013! Mortimer clarke are now asking for payment because they say our loan is secured. Yet it was in iva and they received payments throughout iva. Surely our iva company won't pay to a secured loan. Bare in mind Mortimer clarke have waited until now to contact us. We took the loan out before 2013 it's now 2025! Feel like I'm been bullied into paying something we thought was paid. Something isn't sitting right and it's making me so anxious. If any one reads this who can offer advice please do.

Absolutely awful company

Absolutely awful company. I've actually been driven to the brink of ending it all because they will not leave me alone. I can afford a small amount, which I'm paying due to being a carer and not working. It's constant, letters, calls, emails. I reply to emails saying the same thing time and time, which they ignore. Then I will get another letter threatening me with a bailiff. On advice of a friend I'm looking at getting a solicitor involved. It's harassment, pure and simple.
I've been told to contact Financial Conduct and they are now looking into this company. I've had early morning phone calls and persistent letters, all while I have a plan in place! Absolutely shameful.

I contacted Mortimer Clarke today…

I contacted Mortimer Clarke today regarding a debt letter I received from the Tribunals Service. I explained the reason behind the debt, specifically that the original company stopped taking payments via direct debit. I also informed them that I could not afford £50 a month, as I only work one shift a week when my disabilities allow. Additionally, I receive Personal Independence Payment and have been deemed to have limited capability for work under the Universal Credit system. I have four children, three of whom receive Disability Living Allowance due to their disabilities.

The man I spoke to made me feel very uncomfortable and insisted that all disability-related payments should be considered as household income. I explained multiple times that this money is specifically for care and support, not general expenses. Despite reviewing my income, he stated they still required £50 per month based on their calculation of surplus funds. I tried to clarify that my surplus income varies each month due to unexpected expenses, but he was abrupt and came across as though he was trying to pressure me.

I informed him that I had recorded the call and intended to raise the issue with my MP, at which point his tone noticeably changed. He frequently spoke over me and claimed that, since the case had gone to the Tribunals Court (which I was unaware of), he was unable to alter the payment amount. However, after the call, I contacted the Tribunals Service, who confirmed that Mortimer Clarke Solicitors do have the authority to amend the payment amount. This means I was misled, and I will be bringing this to my MP’s attention as well.

Dumb idiots keep asking for more money when I’m on a payment plan, if they keep carrying on with this I will sue you for harassment and by law you can’t harass anyone on a payment plan.

Company keeps pestering me on debt

Company keeps pestering me on debt, I am paying monthly standing order and I’m still getting threatening letters and emails, but quick enough to ring multiple numbers but can not answer emails? I have proof and this company is just shocking. Luckily I will be paying it all off Jan and I will not hear from these again!

Avoid like the plague

Avoid like the plague, agents will swear at you and even when formally complaining they will still gaslight you in to saying it didn't happen.

Record all calls and inform them of such before speaking with these mis informants.

Edit: Have reached out to them regarding their trust pilot response and still unresolved.

5 stars from me.

Contacted them after receiving a CCJ that shouldn’t have been issued due to me complying with them but due to administrative error it went unread. After an investigation and review, they have offered me compensation for my troubles and applying to the courts for the CCJ to be set aside. Wasn’t expecting any of that after reading all these reviews but they get a 5 star from me! Thank you.

Stay away from them They are not…

Stay away from them They are not professional firm acting like scammers will be reporting to SRA already reported by lots of people. After 6 years of my default account they are still threatening me for ccj which is obviously they can’t force you by law after 6 years and I was victim of fraud it’s really disgusting shame on this firm

Received a letter

Received a letter, saying my debt was sold to mortimer clarke. No clue why people say they're rude, etc on the phone?

Spoke to a nice lady called Genia i think was her name.

Spoke to me w/ respect, etc. Explained it all.

Edit; had to cancel my direct debit, spoke to josh and sorted. kind and polite as well.
