Great product & delivered quickly - construction was a little challenging
The delivery time of the credenza we ordered was great - it got to us within about 4 days which was quicker than they estimated. The product itself is great, good quality, nice and solid. The only painful part was just the instructions (or lack of good ones!) to put it together. Like many flat packs the instructions had such limited detail, and despite my husband and I being pretty proficient on the tools, we still had to trial and error a few parts of it that just weren't clear. But over we love it, and are now looking at getting another piece from the same collection.

Disappointed
The colour is not Ruby it’s more Begundy/Moroon. The chair upholstery has a few indentations and the carton it came in had a huge hole, fortunately it did not pierce the fabric. VERY DISAPPOINTED that I had to assemble the chair. The instructions for the assembly are brief, I really feel a YouTube demo would be much better. I’m old, so it was difficult to work out how to balance the chair while I assembled the legs to each other and the upholstery. Perhaps it requires four arms? At the price I paid I would have expected complimentary assembly from Myer.

Modern TV Unit
Hi Guys, your website was easy to use and my TV Unit arrived in no time. I am moving House in the next 5 weeks and have been unable to fully open my TV Unit but just from opening the top I can see it has been packaged extremely well. Thanks Modern Furniture!

I love my bench
I love my bench. It fits perfectly in my nook under the stairs. The black wood is of great quality and I couldn’t be happier. Even during covid, delivery was organised the next day after I ordered it.

Daxton Executive Desk
Desk is impressive!! Looks fabulous.
Instructions and illustrations for assembly were not very good. All components were in great condition on arrival. Everything assembled well although would need a very experienced person to assemble.
Would definitely buy from Modern Furniture again.

Good product and sturdy
Good product and sturdy. The only two issue are the legs and instruction notes. Notes should be clear on the drawer part and the panel for legs should have markers so we know where to place the legs.

ARTO Single Workstation Desk with Left Cabinet 1.2M - Mahogany Black-Instruction for the building process…
-Instruction for the building process where terrible at some parts of the build.
-Was missing 20 screws that I had to go down to bunnings to purchase
-Pre-drilled spots for the draws where incorrect. When used the draws hit each other. Needed to changed around to get the correct gap.
Apart from that the desks seem to be ok

Great Product Dodgy Marketing
The chairs I purchased are great thank you. Although two screws, washers and nuts were missing. We were able to source them ourselves.
I do have a concern with the ordering process. I could not purchase more than one chair from any stockings so I purchase for two stockings - one chair each. One did not charge me freight and the other charged me an exorbitant amount. I very much wanted two chairs so decided to swallow the high freight cost.
The two chairs came together directly from Modern Furniture I believe. I had previous to this received emails from both stockiest as well as Modern Furniture. I was at the point where I had started thinking that the chairs were sold in twos and I had inadvertently purchased four with two orders!?!?,
I question how this marketing was arranged and have concerns re something shady. Plus I feel ripped off over the freight situation
I would be very careful either using this company again or recommending it.

As an exclusive importer and supplier of our products, we do have affiliated partners and marketplaces which also promote and advertise some of our products on their platforms. Your purchase was made from two different platforms with one having an increased price for freight inclusion while the other platform advertising the standard RRP but excluding the freight to your postcode.
We are sorry we cannot comment as to why the stores did not have the two available and perhaps an integration issue at the time.
With both orders being dispatched from our warehouse, it was advised to consolidate the freight to potentially avoid separate deliveries and the convenience of receiving the both at the one time.

Good product and responsive customer service
Although a bit more expensive for the same product which can be bought elsewhere, one is able to reach customer service relatively quickly for mail redirection and MF uses a better courier service than other furniture companies which delivers door to door rather than leaving the item outside. The study desk I ordered was sturdy and would have been perfect if the last two supporting bolts fitted but fortunately they were not load bearing, so was able to do without. Keep up the good work team.

I haven’t received my orders yet after…
I haven’t received my orders yet after 2 weeks. Ordered kitchen stools and dining chairs but I was advised only 3 dining chairs in stock (instead of 4). Then after one week, when I inquired update on my stools, I was told they now have 4 dining chairs. I have already purchased another dining chairs. I am still waiting for 3 stools. It could be due to COVID but communication could be better.

The delivery of my item took 4 months, but now it is here, I love it
The delivery of my item took 4 months! There was no indication at the time of ordering that the item was not in stock, so it was disappointing to have to wait such an extraordinarily long time. Better expectation management would help.
However, now it has finally arrived, I really love the TV unit. It looks beautiful and slick with no open shelving and round edges. It fits beautifully with our Scandinavian design. It is quite small and narrow.

I have ordered a chair and after two weeks no contact or instruction of delivery, I emailed and no one knew what had happened. Re ordered chair waiting on delivery due in a week, in total 3-4 week wait on goods.
