Great product but …….
Great product although one drawer base was cracked and the file drawer is neither foolscap or A4 in size. We can’t find anything that will fit effectively in it. Desk was great. Locking mechanism is a little ordinary and has the potential to come loose and be unable to unlock. I didn’t install it for this reason.

Absolutely brilliant customer service…
Absolutely brilliant customer service by Tarli. The TV cabinet purchased and delivered was exactly as described on the internet and was very easy to put together. There was a delay in the delivery time frame, however, Tarli kept me up to date at all times. Highly recommend.

Our order didn't arrive all at once. I had to contact Modern Furniture to check what had happened. The company was good with a prompt response and follow-up. The other part of the order came today. I do feel I over paid for the delivery.

Great experience all around
Great experience all around! Needed a reception desk quite urgently. Were extremely helpful, and even offered to so do a Video call to ensure that the colours of the desk would match the area where it was going to sit. Once ordered it literally turned up within a couple of days. In just enough to make it up for the grand opening. Have visitors now asking where it got the desk from and are shocked at how awesome it looks, and it was so cost-effective.

Great quality and built without breaking the bank. Managed to assemble it ourselves (me and my partner) in about 1.5hours. Looks great too.

Wouldnt recommend
We have purchased 2 products from this company - 1 stand-up desk and cabinet.
They are not the best quality and were very difficult to put together (and I have put some flat packs together in my time)
When the cabinet was delivered the 2 main pieces were snapped in half and were missing lots of screws/hardware needed for assembly and took multiple emails and 6 months later to receive the new parts and they were damaged as well. All in all was not a nice experience with this company and wouldn't use again or recommend

It's extremely unfortunate that although our products are very well packaged that we may find some parts experience mishandling and transit damage. I’m sure you can appreciate although being unrelated to product quality and third party service, we are committed to have parts or products replaced as quickly as possible.
We are unable to locate any desk orders, to which we attempted to reach out to you for further information and provide any further assistance if required.
Although most of our customers do successfully complete the assembly of our larger and more detailed office furniture, advanced or professionally assembly experience is recommended.
However should you require any assembly assistance we are here to help and at all times contactable either through phone, email and chat to provide immediate support and assistance.
Being a supplier to major brands, our products go through a very strict quality check process. Our office furniture is also fitted with the highest grade (German Hueck) melamine and fitted with only heavy duty metal and soft closing fittings and accessories.
We are very sorry to see what may be transit and assembly related issue leave a false impression on our product quality.
Please contact us should we still be of any assistance to rectify any issues you might have.

Great modern design but workmanship & instructions
Pros:
- Great communication by the Modern Furniture team as well as delivery team
- Love the modern design of the desk.
- Provide one extra screw in each bag just in case one is misplaced.
Cons:
- Assembly instructions are horrible. Screw bags either wrongly labelled (in my case F instead of E, or Q when is nowhere to be seen in the bags) or no labels at all. I have extra bags of random screws that are not part of the instructions and nowhere to be used
- Pre-drilled holes in panel 9 are at wrong locations. After assembly of drawers, noticed they were misaligned to panel 8.

Extremely happy with everything about my new desk.
Service was great, product is perfect. Looks great in our room. Easy to assemble but took us a bit longer because we didn’t add the piece of timber that goes above your knees in the right order. It’s great.

Bad Customer Service, Bad Instructions (Carter Desk)
Well trying to get the word out, my furniture review hasn't been posted it appears they actually decide what goes up which is horrible.
Desk delayed 3 weeks, no communication I had to chase them up each time personally. Got my tracking number 4 hours after delivery too, had to call on the day, courier was a lovely bloke offered to help me take it in, but didn't want to put him out.
Desk instructions were beyond poor and mis-labelled other websites advertised this, I thought just bad builders (1.8 Carter Desk) this was 100% the case, damaged it following the instructions. Alot of holes that aren't used it appears maybe for left hand version. Don't trust the build, but appears to be well enough to hold my weight if I sit on it, but the screw holes are hammered in and legit had one slip out.
Won't be going with modern furniture in future and strongly advise anybody who thinks the other reviews on that desk are incorrect or bad builders, genuinely the parts are mislabelled they put stickers on the outside of the bags for the screws and just smack the stickers on themselves, half were almost peeled off when I opened the boxes.

While we do our best to contact customers with updates or any delays for pre-orders, we are sorry to hear although speaking to our team that we may have not reached you in time before your call.
Being a local delivery, a call is made a day earlier to confirm the suitable delivery day for you. While a booking and sms confirmation with tracking details are provided earlier, unfortunately our portal still automatically issues a notification at the end of that day of dispatch although order has already been fulfilled.
We are also sorry to hear about some unfortunate mis-labeled parts and look forward to your email with images so we can look into this and have this rectified asap.
We do our best to offer great service and support and take all feedback very seriously to try improve and better ourselves where we can. Hence being notified at the time of issue will also give us the opportunity to rectify the issue and avoid any disappointments.
Please contact us at any time should we be able to further assist in any way and very sorry again for the unfortunate experience and can only hope the Carter 1.8m desk suits your office well.
