Got my proposal done months ago
Got my proposal done months ago. Then today got an email informing me that if I missed 1 more payment ... the proposal would be cancelled. After numerous emails and calls. I was able to get to the bottom of it. My phone number was entered incorrect by MNP. My VOID cheque placed in my file for the auto payment was someone else's. Who ever handled my file dropped the ball royally as I was never notified by "phone text" of failed payments since they had my phone number wrong and my $170 worth of NSF fees adding up. They need to email people also when this happens for this exact reason cause we could have caught the issue the first time. They agree to reverse it all. The consequences of MNP error would have cost me way more had I not discovered it myself. Very disappointed.
Go with anyone else, but MNP
I have also reported my experience to the Better Business Bureau. If you're considering a consumer proposal, bankruptcy, or similar service, I would recommend looking elsewhere. Unfortunately, my experience with this company has been frustrating. I've found their staff to be condescending, rude, and lacking compassion. Additionally, their process is disorganized and unclear.
For example, I was only notified a full year after a payment had failed, even though I could have made that payment during the same month. At the time, I was grieving my mother's passing, and my finances were in disarray. I believed everything had been covered, so this lack of communication was particularly distressing.
To make matters worse, with just three months left in my program, I've only now been informed that I need to complete two counseling sessions. Had they reached out earlier with available times and dates, I would have been able to schedule them throughout the course of my term. Instead, it feels like a last-minute rush, adding more stress to an already difficult situation.
I believe that when you're paying a company to help you, you should feel supported, not made to feel worse. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience.

This is the worse company on this planet. A big scam. They will force you into bankruptcy and then object your discharge.
It is all about how much money they will make, not about you at all.

I met with Jolene today. She was fabulous to work with. Explained everything and super kind. She was very efficient and knowledgeable and explained every step of the way. I the. Had a video chat with Eric who was super kind as he reviewed everything. I’m so happy I went to MNP.

Should have read these reviews before taking an appointment. They never even bothered to call. I had to reach out to them. Wasted 5 days on this company
They are very unprofessional
I started speaking to one person from this company about filing a proposal. I sent her all the information and didn't get a response back for weeks. I then got an email from another staff who told me that the initial lady spoke to was now off on maternity leave. So this new lady offers me an appointment for the next day, I never got a response from her, and she never answers her emails. I will go to a more reputable company.

Tonia Fox Tullis was a life saver. I was sinking in debt after a consumer proposal handled by York Credit. I was looking at 5 years of payments that I could not handle on my retirement pension. Tonia was helpful, understanding and compassionate. Mentally I was at my lowest and now I can see light again and see a positive future. The credit counselling provided by Diane Vert was helpful, and considerate with no judgement. Diane has helped to put me on a positive path forward and was very easy to talk to and answered all my questions. Overall, a very positive outcome for a very difficult and challenging time in my life.

If I could do it all over, I wouldn't. I feel as though I was lied to. I was told They would keep my government cheques except my GST and income tax returns and would hold them for me until my discharge and it would be like a nice little "Nest Egg." You know what my nest Egg was? One lousy GST cheque. If it seems too good to be true it usually is. They handled my Mom's insolvency and it went great. We payed them in her and some of my government cheques. Mine, not so much. I would recommend not handing any money over and paying them with your government cheques, no matter how long it takes. Do not pay monthly out of your pocket. I feel they did me wrong and know they did, I had a balance of $550 left to pay but guess what? I didn't have to, they said they will not charge me the rest of my balance, why do you think that is? I went in at a very low point in my life like most do looking for help and I came out of it not being able to trust yet another person/company that was supposed to help me but instead helped ruin me. My lady was always very respectful, how I was treated is not the issue. It's how it was put to me that was not what went on at all. Just be careful if you do choose to go with this company, I do recommend recording your conversations. Just so you can cover your butt when things don't go as they said. If I could I would rate no stars for my experience with them. Sorry Linda and John but this is MY truth. Merry Christmas.
