The prints are great and velvety soft
The prints are great and velvety soft. Out of all my prints only 2 had a small white line as if the printer glitched which is not a big deal because I got a nice discount and got extra prints for free

Phenomenal Experience
The quality of the book and the customer service exceeded my expectations! We needed the book rushed, and Sheila was incredible! She worked with us and made our timeline happen. Additionally, creating the book online was a super easy process, and it made the whole experience easy. I will definitely be placing an order in the future.

Three Books Later - Still Impressed
I am so impressed with this company! I printed three books with Mixam, and each experience has been great! The online design app is very user-friendly and reliable - it never glitched or froze. Once you design your book, the app creates a PDF proof so you can see exactly how your book will look like once it’s printed. They also provide an online flipbook preview, which really helps with the visualization of the final product. Mixam also offers extensive options for paper, colour, size, and binding. I’ve printed books with them using different paper weights and both matte and glossy covers, and the quality of the final product has been consistently professional. For my most recent order, the books even arrived earlier than expected, which was a nice surprise. Customer service has also been outstanding. When I had questions, the team responded promptly and addressed all of my questions thoroughly. Overall in my experience, Mixam is reliable, produces high-quality books, and is very easy to work with. I would definitely print with them again.

Blurry text with soft lamination
Blurry text with soft lamination. I LOVE the quality of the paper and the feel of the soft lam. but I didn't get any warnings my file wasn't clear and followed the recommended files options but my postcards came out blurry.

Hi Allison, Thank you so much for your feedback. We’re really glad to hear you loved the paper quality and the feel of the soft-touch lamination. That’s always wonderful to hear.
That said, we don't seem to have been advised yet about your concerns with the postcards, as that would have allowed us to review the files and production details right away to see what may have happened.
Soft touch lamination does have a subtle texture to it, and in some cases, very thin or pale text can appear slightly softer or less sharp once laminated. It’s possible that this may have contributed to the effect you’re seeing, but we’d really like the opportunity to take a closer look and confirm.

I made a magazine for my sister’s…
I made a magazine for my sister’s wedding and it turned out AMAZING! It was my first time ever with Mixam but I don’t regret trusting them at all! The quality of the images, the quality of the paper, how easy it was to order, the pricing… everything was a 20/10!!!

I was not given a notification that my submission was able to be proofed. As a result my pages were out of order so the publication was a complete waste of my money.

When placing an order with us, there are three opportunities to review your pages before confirming them to be printed. First, all of the pages are visible in the artwork upload screen. Second, we provide a digital proof for review. Third, there is the flipbook Preview, which you’re asked to confirm you’ve checked before approving the order for print.
We’re sorry if that process didn’t feel clear enough in this case. While the files are printed exactly as they’re supplied and approved, we still wanted to support you, which is why we offered a goodwill discount as a gesture to help. We are sorry to hear that this hasn’t fully resolved how you’re feeling about the situation.
For any future projects, we would strongly recommend carefully reviewing the flip book preview and page order before confirming the order, just to ensure everything appears exactly as intended. That final check is the best safeguard against page sequencing issues.
If you’d like us to walk you through the proofing process for a future order, we’d be more than happy to help. We genuinely want your next experience with us to be a smooth and successful one.
Subpar Quality for a Premium Book
Shipment was delayed by almost a month, there was a printing error. They sent another book and corrected the error but there was a minor ding in a couple spots on the book, as well as just average quality overall. For the premium price we paid for a 350pg coffee table book, it wasn't up to the standard expected.

Sizing Suggestion
I did love the final printed copies of my graphic novel but found communication regarding bleed size verses canvas size could have been much clearer. Because of a miscommunication, I had to resize 88 pages three different times. A huge amount of wasted time. I suggest examples of what sizes not to do compared to the correct sizing. Believe it or not, the templates are not enough for first time publishers like myself.

For future projects, we’d recommend using a design program such as Canva, Adobe InDesign, or similar software that allows you to set up bleed and trim sizes more easily.

We can see that a slight spine movement was reported and that you advised this was for a PhD dissertation. After investigating your concerns, our team confirmed that the spine alignment appears to fall within standard manufacturing tolerances. That said, we completely understand that when you’re printing something as important as a dissertation or a gift, you’re hoping for everything to look just right.
Regarding the timing, we’re also sorry that there were temporary delays which impacted your plans. All delivery dates provided at checkout are estimates, and while we always aim to meet or beat them, unforeseen production or courier delays can occasionally occur. If you’re ever working toward a specific deadline, we strongly encourage letting us know in advance so we can advise on the safest timeline.

Everything was fantastic except for…
Everything was fantastic except for loading images. I had a double page spread in my comicbook and no matter how many times I tried I couldn’t get the two pages to line up. It would have been such an easy adjustment but once you upload an image you can’t change it. Also I found there wasn’t a great way to see how the color was going to print. The book was mostly black and white though and the good far outweighs the bad. I will for sure use them again.
