Some lovely pieces, specimens themselves were wonderful, but the preparation and attention to details was unfortunately quite poor.

A framed print I ordered hadn't been properly secured, the retaining clips not pushed down which meant the backing had been damaged and clips were pushing into the print (customer service told me the item would not have been shipped like that, and the damage would've happened during transit - it was very clear to me that many of the backing clips had not been pushed down, it was a bit insulting to be told that this would've happened during transit when that's clearly not the case, I would much rather have appreciated some honesty and accountability).

I ordered an ammonite in glass dome jar also. The fossil itself is lovely, mostly as pictured, though much thinner than you might expect. This was, unfortunately, really badly prepared though. The fossil back is covered in sloppy glue from where it's been stuck on the rod (CS tells me this is normal), and there was a fair bit of damage to the wooden base where the mounting rod is stuck. I was advised it should not have been shipped in this condition. Just really not impressed by the preparation (or, to be honest, the response from CS).

I was offered to return the items, but as I'm generally pleased with the actual specimens (and can't be doing with the hassle of returns), I elected to keep these for now. Just be wary that the preparation may not be up to par, but the specimens generally appear pretty good.

On the plus side, the moth was generally done pretty well, besides some mess inside the glass frame (but this is only visible very close up). So insects and such may or may not be better prepared than the rest.

I did contact CS regarding my concerns before posting any reviews but, as I say, I wasn't greatly impressed. It's a shame because there's some really nice looking pieces and I was planning on expanding the collection, but if this is the level of care put into the products I will be looking elsewhere.

This company is brilliant! The products are just as described, the quality of each specimen is superb. Framing is done to a very high standard. Packaging is really good full of bubble wrap and delivery great too. I have bought 7 frames and an insect in a resin block and I’m extremely pleased with every order I have purchased.
I would highly recommend this company to buy from.

Came across Minibeast when I was looking for entomology frames and they popped up in the search engine. I bought 1 frame of a pair of sunset moths to see what the quality was like and I was not disappointed. They were so beautifully presented I joined the monthly subscription almost immediately and now look forward to getting a surprise specimen through the post every month, what a great idea, makes me feel like a kid again! I will soon have a wall covered in the frames and it will look stunning and a great talking point when people visit! I also like the fact the specimens are ethically sourced and each piece sold helps preerve habitat and give local people an ethical income. Brilliant!

Absolutely beautiful pieces! I’m slowly building quite the collection now and am part of their monthly mini beast club; I’m very excited to see the beautiful pieces arrive once a month to add to my collection, but I can’t help still buying more pieces along the way too! Every detail is impeccable and all pieces are presented beautifully in either frames or glass domes (I’m a fan of both!), everything is shipped really carefully and packaged perfectly too. I've placed multiple orders with Minibeast now and each time I marvel at the quality of both the specimens (in my case fossils) and the framing of said specimens. As I write this I actually have another order placed and awaiting dispatch. The frames arrive well wrapped and with care so that the specimens don't shift in transit within their frames. I frequently find myself browsing the website to see what to order next
