Very nice... Very nice indeed.
After many years of renting my dive equipment, I finally decided to take the plunge and purchase my own.
An email to Mikes Dive Store explaining where and how I dive, along with a request for help, brought a swift response with a series of recommendations. No upselling, simply a list of kit that should suit me and my diving perfectly.
Clearly I checked prices elsewhere, and I could not better the prices offered.
When I placed the order a couple of weeks later, there was a minor glitch with the process. A email had that sorted in less than 30mins, and just under 24 hours later my new equipment arrived.
Really cannot fault the service, the responsiveness or the pricing.

Great shop, great staff
Visited Mike’s Dive Store on Feb 15th and had a great experience. The guy who helped me (Yaz) was incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, patient and good humoured. I went in for a 7mm wet suit and he fetched and carried all sorts of alternatives to me and even got me a glass of water when I overheated after trying my third one on. I always bought a mask and other bits of equipment and the service was brilliant throughout. Thank you!
When things don’t go quite to plan
When things don’t go quite to plan, you need a team that will go that extra mile to correct the issue, quickly, efficiently and without any fuss!
When my FFM was returned to me without key components (that were attached at the point the mask was sent away for servicing), I had a serious issue. I couldn’t use the mask.
Although not the servicing agent, the mask (originally purchased at MDS) had to go through the store to be sent on to the manufacturer for servicing.
An email with supporting photos was immediately despatched to Mike’s Dive Store Servicing Department. Their response …? Exemplary. Quite simply exemplary.
Between Dan, Sam and Yaz, they responded immediately by confirming they were investigating, by chasing through the issue, by keeping my fully informed on the progress and ultimately by resolving the issue. Although not my original components, I received everything that had been mislaid at the time of servicing. I now once again have a fully functioning FFM. Relief!
The key thing for me was that the issue was resolved by Mike’s Dive Store without any question, discussion, or stalling. Just a very fast, efficient no-nonsense response.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this team to anyone. Their response was superb! Well done and thank you.
Great customer service
Great customer service. I was after a new dive torch on a pretty modest budget. Staff talked me through pros and cons of a number of options, seemed really genuine, and just generally decent. Will use Mikes for all my dive gear from now on.

Superb service again from the team at Mike's. Contacted Jenna regarding spare bungee straps for the new Scubapro seawing supernovas - couldn't find them on the website. No problem at all - Jenna put in an order for me with Scubapro and they were with me two days later! Couldn't ask for more. Highly recommended.
Effortless efficiency from Jenna in Mikes Dive Store
I have a Scubapro Hydros pro BCD and after 5 years I noticed the shoulder strap rubbers on both shoulders were splitting. I contacted Jenna in Mikes support team who quickly and without issue arranged a set of replacement new shoulder straps.

Most of my dive gears are from Mike’s. From the valuable dive computers and regs up to little things such as silicone grease, they are my go-to dive shop! I’ve always love their customer service! They are very prompt on enquiries and last minute changes after I order online. Dan is very kind as well to apply promotions after I missed the discount a day after my latest purchase!:) I just love this dive shop as they are very reliable and no nonsense!

Had my Scuba Pro and Apex regs serviced by the team in Chisick.
Both the Store front team, and the back room Technician were very helpful and knowledgeable, and my regs came back shiny and nicely siliconed up. All the replaced o-rings and filters that had been swapped out and in a bag to show a dutiful service had been done, and over the Xmas period as well.
Very impressed as i have been in with them in the past when i was last back in the UK.
I have worked in the dive industry around the world for 20 years, and made over 5000+ dives so i can read between the lines easily i think when dive outfits are blagging it, this was not the case here.
This is a quality operation.

Defrauding their customers of thousands of £££s!
This was a 5 star experience up until they only gave a partial refund with no explanation. I wouldn't have even minded if they had acknowledged their mistake and processed the remaining balance for the refund. Instead they doubled down on trying to rip me off. I explained very clearly my right (the right of thousands of other customers they have probably ripped off in the same way) to a full refund INCLUDING the original cost of standard shipping under section 34.2 of The Consumer Contracts Regulation 2013 which states "The trader must reimburse any payment for delivery received from the consumer, unless the consumer expressly chose a kind of delivery costing more than the least expensive common and generally acceptable kind of delivery offered by the trader.". They tried to claim that because they offered click and collect that this was their cheapest standard delivery, but you don't have to be a rocket surgeon to understand why that doesn't make any sense (hint, "collect" and "delivery" have two different meanings). Then they tried to claim that you can't cancel or withdraw an order after it's delivered, which is also untrue and the right to withdraw or cancel is very clearly spelled out in section 30.3 of those same regulations, specifically "if the contract is a sales contract and none of paragraphs (4) to (6) applies, the cancellation period ends at the end of 14 days after the day on which the goods come into the physical possession of (a)the consumer, or (b)a person, other than the carrier, identified by the consumer to take possession of them.". They finally relented of course, but still refused to admit they were wrong about the law and suggested that I was "upset" and that the manager authorized my full refund as a one off. The real reason of course is that their behavior was criminal, and they know it, and their ridiculous argument would not have stood a chance in small claims court. Avoid these guys if you can, but if you do get lured in by the prices, be prepared for a battle to get the full refund you're entitled to if you do need to return something!
EDIT TO REPLY: Now you're just making stuff up to save face Steve. Your CS did not ONCE mention the 14 day return window and clearly did not understand what a "cancellation" was in the context of the CCR. The last message I had from you absolutely made it sound like you were "doing me a favour" and you weren't obligated to refund the full amount when you clearly were.
The specific message I was sent:
"As you can see, both deliveries, were in fact, delivered, so actually, the order could not be cancelled or withdrawn fact was in fact returned.
Given that our cheapest and most common "standard" delivery is free, then any additional would still be payable.
As I can clearly see how upset you are over these circumstances, following further conversations with my line manager, I have managed to authorise ,as a one off, the refund of the delivery charges.
Refunds can take 5-7 days to be actioned for you."
I am glad that you as the owner are now acknowledging that you got it wrong and hopefully you'll train your CS staff on the law and to act accordingly. It's a shame it took all this back and forth to establish that with you though, Thank you for the well wishes, and no stress here! I find solace in the idea that other consumers may see this and avoid falling victim to the same "mistakes".

Ordered my husband some dive equipment for Xmas, arrived on time. Always use Mike’s where possible, great friendly service, reliable delivery and east to return things if needed.

Awful Customer Service …
Awful Customer Service … eVoucher ordered online 13DEC22. Order confirmed. Nothing received. Support requested by online Chat 15DEC22 (leaving my contact details to be called back). NOTHING. Support requested by eMail 17DEC22. Response from Shem received to check Junk/Spam, which I did … empty. I replied to that effect within the hour. NOTHING. I followed up with another eMail 20DEC22 . NOTHING. Another eMail DEC 21DEC22. NOTHING. So after 9days, 5 attempts for support … NOTHING.
Here is the rub … from an eMail received on placing my order online:
“ My name is Steve and I’m the owner of Mike’s Dive Store – I know, confusing right? Anyway, this email is not about me, it’s about you because I want to personally thank you for choosing to purchase from my Store. There’s a lot of competition out there, and you could have chosen any other dive shop to put your faith in, but I’m really grateful that you didn’t, and that you chose us, THANK YOU.
Your happiness is genuinely our priority so if there’s anything you need, questions or feedback, my team and I are all ears. Pick up the phone, email us, we are at your disposal “

My wife bought me a spareair as a gift…
My wife bought me a spareair as a gift but I found a problem with a part. So I rang Mikes dive store and spoke to Dan. I took pictures and sent them to Dan who identified the problem part and got a replacement sent to me strait away. Very impressed with the service, knowledge and customer support. Thanks Dan!!!
Dreadful customer service
Dreadful customer service. I ordered a mask and snorkel from Mike’s Dive Store over 10 days ago and still not arrived. Contacted them for refund and refuse to refund until I return the goods even though they can see not been delivered. They will claim all explained by Post Office strikes but they chose to use Royal Mail to deliver, not me. Give me my money back.

Great service, placed my order on the Monday received goods on the Wednesday.
Used demo sold as Brand new...disappointed..
I had been planning on purchasing a new Garmin Descent MK2i for sometime now, watching all the reviews and unboxing on youtube. I recently made the decision to purchase this model from Mikes Dive store as I had purchased items from them before. I received this a couple of days after ordering, when opening the box, I was suspicious as there was no seal present. To my surprise all that was in the box was 3 extension straps (1 black, 1 grey & 1 white). I contacted Mikes Dive store, they apologised saying there had been a mix up with the demo's box. They said they would send out the Garmin on next day delivery, I was concerned that they were refering to their demo model and they assured me it would be a BRAND NEW watch (They also said they'd send self addressed packaging to return the extension straps).
This did not arrive the next day, despite me staying in all day, it appeared to be an issue with DPD, so I had to rearrange delivery for 2 further days.
This finally arrived and to my dismay, they had sent me their ex-demo model. The new film had been removed from the screen, and although finger prints had been wiped off you could see marks from the oil off skin. Also it was possible to see where the original seal had been peeled off, they could at least made the effort to replace the seal in original position on the box.
I am greatly disappointed in spending well over £1000 for basically a secondhand watch.
I will not be purchasing anything further from Mikes Dive store and advising everyone to avoid this store.
Amazing customer service and care.
I was greeted with a big smile and a "can do" attitude. The young man who helped me - Tristan - focussed on fixing the problem with my 10 year old Suunto Vyper rather than pressuring me to buy a new one.
How refreshing! How unusual!
I confess to being one of many who doesn't always (RTFM - read the f manual) and Tristan was incredibly patient in showing me how and why I was getting an error message. It was all user related so my fault, I am sad to confess!
Once the problem was fixed, Tristan then did a thorough pressure test on the Vyper to make sure all was working well. He also showed me how to remove the casing and, on his computer, downloaded the dive history which had never been done before! I now feel comfortable using the software and cable. I know this is an old computer but it may last another year. In the meantime, Tristan downloaded the DM4 manual and sent to me via email. I am definitely reading it.
Unbelievable customer service and care from an enthusiastic diver who obviously wants to help his fellow divers have fun and keep diving.
