Absolutely appalling experience with this company! Initially agreed on a recruitment fee of 15%, only to have them sneakily increase it to 18% when the invoice arrived, citing lack of written confirmation. Paid up reluctantly. Then, one hired candidate left shortly after joining, and despite assurances of a replacement, none was found until we hiked the salary from £30k to £55k. Found a potential replacement, but they clashed with our accountant during a meeting, prompting us to withdraw the offer. However, Chris Royce from Page took it upon himself to pressure the candidate into resigning before the meeting, leaving her jobless. Despite clear indications she wouldn't fit our team, they relentlessly pursue their commission. No rebate for the previous candidate, and they even tried to chase payment for a candidate who never started! Page operates like a cutthroat boiler room, employing strong-arm tactics and legal threats. We're taking our grievances to trading standards. Avoid at all costs!

Emailed and left several voicemails for Ben about a role, no response.
Applied for role via an other consultant advertising the same role and they responded straight away!
Won't apply for roles through Michael Page or use them for recruitment based on this experience.

Reached out over Linkedln to a James Doris. Was very rude and unprofessional was just try to start a conversation about a job role position posted as we are a fellow recruit agency and thought we could help. Was very rude and was told to pretty much go away. Horrible people

They write you, they call you asking lots of information to show the company that they are working, and then they disappear... Never use this agency!!!

Experience was with the Michael page team in Singapore. The recruiters I worked with seemed really professional and worked with (seemingly) good companies. After aggressively scheduling and rescheduling all the interviews (I attended 5 by one company alone), I was told that i had gotten the job. Then... radio silence. 'I'll update you when I get more news' messages became fewer, until eventually the recruiter became unresponsive. At least let me know if the company changed its mind?! I had a couple other experiences with other recruiters from the team subsequently and all were just as bad. They start out seeming like a 5 star recruiter, then just ghost you or quit on you. Complete FAIL. Do not use them, they will not hesitate to waste your time. Often, it seems like they hard-sell/persuade the clients to meet you for interview, when the clients are actually not ready to hire.

Dominic Yarwood has a keen eye for detail and gave an excellent insight into the company and the role which I was fortunate enough to benefit from. He was on hand to guide me throughout and I ended up getting the job!

I can only account for my experience with the Finance dept in Cardiff, I found them aggressive and forceful, trying to get me to withdraw from other agencies. They were negative with every company mentioned, disgusting. As a qualified accountant I can safely say I would not recommend this agency, in particular Mr Yarwood. On discussing my experience with this company to other accountants, this in fact is standard behaviour with this company

Rude! I was directed to someone who literally never answers the phone, and who after about three weeks deigned to respond to an email before ignoring me again. Absolute disgrace

Very dissapointed with this company.
They seemed very quick to “push” 4 sales candidates my way. Tori was on the phone a few times a day pushing us to increase our base salary to get better sales people. Long story short the sales person came for two weeks, then went on holiday for two weeks came back for one day, then gave a weeks notice. I told Tori via email and she said she would come back to me. She did not. I chased her again and promissed to come back to me. Again nothing. She finally phoned after 6pm which i found strange. She said i am liable to pay £8k fees. I have asked to speak with her manager. Lets see.
I would certainly avoid this company. They are only after sales commission.
The sales person they sent us Sold Nothing, and created No contacts. It does make me feel like i have been set up.

I have tried to contact this company about various positions but never get a single response. Dreadful

It’s a shame my recruiter was really nice and professional but the back office staff that run the payroll are absolutely rubbish. I had several issues with them and upon finishing my contract they took over a month to generate and give me my P45 which impacted my tax calculation for my next employment. They have also most recently updated incorrect information to HMRC stating I have worked there for a further year up to early this year when I only worked with them for a few months at the beginning of last year. HMRC are now saying I owe money in tax due to this mistake and I have attempted to contact payroll and have been told by Kalem in Temp Services that they do not allow direct contact to Payroll. Instead he provides no assistance and continues to request that I provide my most recent P45 from another employment that has nothing to do with this one. You tell me what my most recent work history has to do with them fixing what they incorrectly updated!?

Dealt with Rebecca booth, she never came back to me after taking all my personal details for a position, sent several emails/calls to her and her colleague, no response, her colleague stated he has also notified her, but I never ever heard back. I was very disappointed. I expected better standards.

Who would give this company their opportunities to fill? I’ve responded to a couple of interesting opportunities posted with Michael Page and heard absolutely nothing from them. Not a peep. And yet, I still receive searching emails from them promoting jobs, asking if I’ve heard back from anyone etc. surely they should know if they had bothered to follow up?
Any company that gives this company their opportunities to fill are risking their own reputation. I would not entrust them with my recruitment based on recent experiences.

Was contacted by a chap called Matt Woolley with an interesting, and much-needed, job opportunity. A call was arranged. Matt never showed for the call, and has ignored all of my efforts to contact him ever since.

Received message from unknown number offering job. Didn’t even know my name or age. Said got my number from database. I asked to be removed and “Maria” kept on messaging about “jobs” available. If this is a real company…SHOCKING! Shame on you.

I'm not actually looking for a job.
I'm in Irealnd, I investigate online scammers and sell the story once verified. This week I got constant pms from this company offering me 120 to 200 e a day. The profile of the re runner is blocked. She dis not answer any detailed questions.
I believe its probably to sell my details to a third party, please be careful, especially in fact older people looking g for element who are less likely to be vigilant woth their private data
So use good companies such as INDEED, who are upfront and easy to use, best of luck.

Excellent service from Cameron Luckett (Nottingham office). He was very happy to place out my senior CV and immediately put me in touch with suitable jobs. I was soon placed. Back office registration thorough and smooth.

Appalling company and incredibly lazy. As you can read in many, many other 1 star comments (which I urge you to read), their response is awful and totally uncaring. If you have a flawless CV that they believe can be easily placed, they will talk to you and take the easy fee, if it requires any kind of work or effort, forget about it, you'll never hear from them no matter how many times you try to contact them. The most unprofessional recruitment agency by some margin and this reputation is very well earned. This is my experience across several Michael Page offices.

Wooow, I don't even know where to start, sadly Michael Page R have my contacts, and 2 scary ladies have already contacted me ,harassed me. One is Anita , and another is Maria, Maria called me N.....when I mentioned that from the reviews, the company was described as scammers or charlatans, and I was not interested at all. She went ballistic, and said that she will come find me for calling her a fraud....and called me n....er again,I didn't need all this, but now I would like to ask kindly the company to delete my details
