I visited the Mersea Road Clinic today to see an osteopath because I am suffering from TMD and trigeminal neuralgia. During my first appointment he asked 10 minutes of questions – none of which he appeared to listen to he just typed up the answers on his computer. He did not take a history or clearly listen to my symptoms and kept asking me about headaches like I should know all the differences between the headaches. After I sat on the bench he grabbed a muscle in my necked and pulled on it so hard that I screamed in pain and told him not to do that again so he did it again. The he put both hands on my jaw and pushed (despite having been told I suffer from Trigeminal Neuralgia) on the nerve so hard that I screamed in pain and told him to stop again. He did not stop and I started to panic as I was now dizzy and feeling sick with the pain I wrenched my head from his grasp and stood up. He then started shouting at me that he must palpate me. He showed no care concern or kindness. He did not listen to my symptoms or understand in any way how I was suffering. He did not apologise for triggering so much pain even though he knew exactly what he was doing. I left his office in tears and drove straight home to be contacted by his secretary demanding money for the treatment, followed by an email threatening me with criminal prosecution. I am appalled and disgusted by the behaviour of the clinic staff.

Had a fantastic experience with Michelle today. Nearly missed this gem as she is not well advertised on the Mersea Road Clinic website. I have pointed this out, so hopefully it will be updated.
Michelle was extremely professional and had an in-depth knowledge. I felt very comfortable in her clinic. Michelle is very competent and she put put me at ease from the beginning. Michelle got straight to the source of my pain and I am feeling the benefits already. I have booked again!!

Steve and the team at Mersea Road clinic are excellent. They have been treating me for over 10 years on and off and always do what they can to fit me in if I need an emergency appointment.

Despite being really nervous having never visited an osteopath before, the whole team were amazing. I was welcomed and felt at ease, the receptionist was really lovely an reassured me of all the covid safety measures. Michael is incredibly knowledgeable and has such a calming demeanor. My shoulder has been an issue for months but Michael has worked wonders with it. I can fully recommend!!
