ME bank are going downhill...

I have always loved having ME bank accounts because they weren't like the big banks. You got personal service, while being able to talk to a real person, with minimal hold times. Or, I would contact them via Me bank chat and it was immediate assistance. I had a failed transaction 3 days ago due to my failure to increase the money in my account. No drama, I transferred more funds and tried to make the transaction. No go. ME bank would not let me make the transaction. Ok, their system likely thought it was someone using my card. Simple fix by me calling them, except I could not get through to ME bank. I tried again on Sunday but could not be bothered waiting. So, I waited for Monday and have been on the phone on hold for 58 mins!!! I tried reaching ME bank via the ME go app using chat, but that was useless and I could not even get a recorded response from a robot. This was likely the last straw and I will now be moving my accounts to one of my other banks. The customer rep was helpful when I got through but I just cannot rely on this bank anymore.

Credit card debt

I received an SMS from ME Bank advising that my credit card (I had in 2018) information would be provided to a credit reporting agency on the 9th of Feb. I tried to log into the account that I had, and when I logged in there were no accounts or any information for anything. Blank details. I haven't had an account with ME Bank since 2022 but apparently, I now owe money?! I advised the credit reporting agency that I had no account and they are following up but it will take 45 + days to get this information from ME Bank. They said I need to prove that I no longer have the account. What the hell!

Me Go. I haven't been able to log into my account after migration even once

I have been trying to access my account since ME Bank migrated my accounts to ME Go. I haven't been able to log on even once. It's been 5 weeks now. I don't get the access code via my phone or email even though both correctly appear on their system. I am sick and tired of calling them, most calls lasting hours. I have been promised access, but nothing happens beyond that. I keep contacting them without any resolution. It's frustrating and unprofessional. Next step is the Banking Ombudsman.

They once were good …

They once were good and now they are awful. Customer service is absolutely horrendous. Super long wait times. I had a guy tell me he'll forward my call to someone who can help me and forward the call to Virgin Money. WTF? The poor guy who answered the call at Virgin Money had no idea how to help me and was baffled that the call had been forwarded to them. Needless to say I'm in the process of closing my accounts with them, as well as my wife's and my children's. Very disappointing.

dont bother trying to contact ME Bank

on 19 February at 10.35am I tried ringing Me Bank to inquire as to why a payment to my body corp had not gone through. I have the receipt from ME Bank for the payment. I waited 18 minutes on hold listening to crappy on hold music. I hung up and tried again. Same response. At 4050pm same day I tried calling again - only to be on hold again. I tried emailing the bank with my query only to get the response that I had to ring the bank as my enquiry could not be handled by email.
Today, February 25 I tried ringing the bank again at 10.40. Guess what - back on hold for 20 minutes before i was able to speak to someone, only to be cut off while I was explaining the problem. I immeditely rang back, this time on hold for 25 minutes until being able to talk to a person who could not give me an answer as to why the payment to my body corp did not proceed. Due to the original payment not being received by the body corp I have had to pay a late payment fee of $33 on top of the $858 . I have discovered that the banks call centre is located in the Philippines. I have two accounts, one of them being a term deposit which as soon as term expires I will be withdrawing all money , as well as savings accounts funds and going elsewhere. I should have looked into the complaints about ME bank before i opened accounts wih them

Absolutely worst banking experience of…

Absolutely worst banking experience of my life. Had a mortgage and bank accounts with them and do not recommend any of their products. Their customer service is dreadful, their apps and online functionality are very basic lacking regular features, & they take a number of days to raise home loans but weeks to reduce them when rates change.

Worst customer service now

Waiting over 3 weeks just for an answer on our top up application. Spelling errors in most of the correspondence. Failure to answer emails & phone calls i have made. We have been with ME for over 15 years & are now definately going to change banks. They used to have amazing service but now it is so bad

Rubish customer service ridiculous technical support

Due to the recent migration of their bank app, all transaction history prior to the migration has disappeared in the new app. I cannot generate a transaction record for previous period myself, which is a very basic function a bank app should provide.

I had to spend more than 1 hour waiting to get an operator to generate a customised transaction record three weeks ago. They said they will email me, but nothing happened.

So, I spent another hour today to get another operator only to find out they can't generate customised transaction record at all.

Me Bank used to be very good but since it was bought by Bank of Queensland, their service quality went down the cliff. I'm looking for a new bank now.

They are a bunch of lying scumbags !

I've been with Me for years and until we suddenly became Me Go I was very happy with their service but now apparently they can just make up the rules as they go. Our agreement was that I got ATM fées refunded because there are Me ATMs in WA but now apparently that agreement is worthless and they aren't refunding my ATM charges. So that's another customer lost.

ME bank is the worst!!

ME bank is the worst!!

It took a total of 7 hours of being on hold and transferred to one department after another, with false promises of a call back, over the course of 4 days to get the answer to a simple question about paying off and finalising a loan.

When I finally made it through to round ten and faced the final boss on my quest, they were finally able to answer my question. Furthermore, I was told half of their staff had been made redundant which was causing a great deal of complaints and wait times.

Also they were unable to send me an email with the relevant information, and said I had to write down all the information they were giving me.What bank in 2026 doesn’t have the capability to send emails!

Time to start looking for another bank!

On hold for 1hour 15 to be told i need to fill in a form, the form was allegedly being sent to my email as we spoke. Still no email. Absoloute crap bank.will be closing out all accounts if this is the service i can expect.
My advice dont use ME

They put a bad creditor report on my credit record over $3. I had moved, and a credit card I rarely used, had $3 owing. They were completely unwilling to budge on their position. That's ok though, I vowed to never bank with them again and now have a sizable mortgage with another lender. I vowed to share my experience with anyone willing to listen, so the bad report goes two ways! Best of luck!

ME BANK .What a waste of time.

over 45 minutes on hold and still not been answered shortly.
I expect if there are decent managers in this company that they should employ people to answer the phones in
a fair and reasonable time.
Absolute garbage.
What compensation will i be offered for the lamentable
service offered by this pack of duds wasting my time.
Absolutely fuming.

Another devastated long term customer

Another devastated long term customer. Customer service has evaporated, credit cards gone, ME GO AWAY doesn't even have online chat monitored, phone service is basically non existent. Ask yourself why and you start to get the picture....

One star is too good for this outfit

One star is too good for this outfit. Used to be fine and you could speak to a locally based person. Now it is on hold for at least 40 minutes and get through to the Phillipines and then get cut off. I have funds with them that they will not release and will not respond to. Requested a financial statement - no reply as I am trying to close the account as they are beyond a joke and should not have a banking license. My last call today was for 50 minutes and they cut me off. It is impossible to speak to a Aust based person. It is nearly a week of no communication from them. BOQ should be ashamed of themselves.

Me bank and the bank of queensland are…

Me bank and the bank of queensland are a circus and the staff are clowns. I spent 3 hrs on the phone to find our how to pay a cedit card issued by them with no outcome. howevef they sent me a letter me an ovetdue letter to pay with no details. I would avoid these banks unless you like spending hours waiting on the phone witb rubbish music.
