Mcalpine is such an iconic part of the British plumbing industry everything they put there name to is pour class never had a issue with a product

I have recently been trying slightly cheaper products which have caused me more problems than what it’s worth, having come back to m alpine fittings I have no problem what so ever, so I now stick with what I no and trust

They are always developing new things to adapt difficult situations.

McAlpine the the Brand to go for it means Quality fitted properly will last for years to come and no call backs. Any thing else yes cheaper but none of the Fit & Forget moto as a McAlpine Branded unit.

quality products never have problems with them

I only use mcalpine products whether its connecting pans, traps waste and overflows bath filler basin wastes, just love the products anti syphon on traps, just love em all and as far as im aware the only company to still have chrome on brass on shower wastes, keep it up

Always use Mcalpine products, they work first time every time. I cannot praise them highly enough, dont waste you money on cheap imitations, because in general you will be disappointed and end up buying Mcalpine which is what you should have done in the first place. Also they have usually invented a product to get you out of any plumbing problem. I just love, love love Mcalpine.

Always used mcalpine products. Never had a bad experience, the clicker bath trap being one of my all time favourite traps fitting a lot in my time. Great seal, lovely design. Traps are all sturdy and just what you need. They offer an amazing selection of products.

McAlpine is the best. We never consider any other product of this nature.

Quality products at reasonable prices

As a plumber and heating engineer I have seen a lot of poor quality fittings flooding the market in recent years. Fortunately McAlpine Plumbing products are of excellent quality and I wouldn't consider fitting anything else.

Your products have been my go to for over 30 years but now Viva have come to the market and in my local stores I cannot justify the cost of your parts and now make more profit.

McAlpine traps and pan connectors are the best on the market, as a plumber I only use McAlpine a know it will work and no call backs.

Worth the extra couple of quid for the peace of mind you get using mcalpine. Best on the market by a country mile.

Best fittings on the market never let you down

Brought a McAlpine scale master defender from plumb city Ipswich to replace a very expensive extremely well made and COMPLETELY USELESS Aqua Bion which I had installed to combat a lime scale problem that we have. Since replacing with the McAlpine unit it seems the we no longer have a problem with Limescale.

Bath pop up plug open/close knob broken (plastic which attaches to spindle cracked) £30.00 for a new kit as knobs not sold separately.

They have changed the design & everything is within the knob itself now, suggesting a design fault.

Sent an e-mail to McAlpine explaining & asking if I could just buy the knob or the attachment as it had split rendering the pop up plug unusable.

A reply received advising it was not a design fault & no I could not buy a replacement.

E-mail sent back asking for their thoughts as to why the knob had been redesigned if not faulty.

Received an e-mail back advising:- 'we confirm that there have been modifications to the product but the reason for the changes was not due to a design fault, but due to the fact that we operate a system of continuous improvement and if we can improve a product we proceed'

After a couple of further e-mails advising I did not accept what they were saying regarding the redesign & possibly that the original design was faulty, I request the name of the person in charge of the department & the name of the sales director so I could contact them directly.

I then received an e-mail from someone who looks as though they were the Managing director with just 'McAlpine Website - Ref: 17706' in the e-mail header & nothing else!

E-mail sent back advising this ref number not recognised & all reference numbers start with one, two or three letters, to forget it & I Will buy another pop up plug from a more reputable company. To have to buy a £30 kit for a £2 part & throw the rest away is idiotic, we are not in a throwaway society anymore.

Now I know why they had a 3 star rating, it will be even lower now!
