I alway use McAlpine traps and waste fittings because I can fit and forget. Brilliant quality!

I used the Mcalpine Flexible WC connector combined with an inlet from the basin, fully concealed in wall, reliable and easy to install, fitted the bill perfectly. For the shower and bath waste connections used the SUREFIT pipe connection, with FLEXCON to get round tricky underfloor issues. Fantastic product and made an awkward install so much easier and confidence that there wont be leaks.

We live in a very hard water area which has made limescale a real problem. The McAlpine Scale Defender was recommended by our plumber. I had looked at other options previously but wasn’t keen traditional salt water softeners and we had limited space for additional piping for alternate water supplies (with a large pond). Other focused mainly on filtering which wasn't a solution for limescale. Also wasn't keen generating more plastic waste from cartridge refills. The Defender ticked all the boxes as it was very compact, treated all the water at source via one set of pipes and the cartridge only needs replacing approx. once a year. Gauging things by our kettle which now seems to get a much slower build up than before and less build up on bathroom and kitchen surfaces, it proving to be a good solution.

I recently had a McAlpine Scale defender installed, as I live in an area with very hard water, so limescale build up is a nightmare. The install was pretty straight forward and low cost. I was amazed that there was a noticable difference in the amount of limescale after just a few days. I've had it in place for about 5 months now and the amount of limescale on things like shower screens, taps and shower heads has massively reduced. It looks as though the cartridge still has a month or two left, so for a household of 3 it means I'll only need to buy 2 cartridges a year. I researched many other devices such as water softeners, before buying the scale defender, but am really happy with choosing the scale defender, as it doesn't need any maintenance. Would highly recommend.

Always used Mcalpine products since started plumbing over 15 years ago and before that my family run company used for 40 plus years. There is no company that comes close to their products and they literally have everything to get over any plumbing issues you may find. And even their newer products like the kneeling pad and scale defender that are different to what they normally do but still are quality made products that are going down a storm with our clients and employees knees 😁

Have been using McAlpine products for years!! Excellent product range to overcome almost every obstacle you may come across in the plumbing industry. The BK1 & BK2 are my go to basin wastes as they are a very robust product and look great too which is rare nowadays. Sk range for kitchen sinks has every scenario you can think of. No Obstacle stands a chance when using McAlpine

Second to none service levels from Ross and Fred, a company that puts the customer first and offer sterling, first class levels of advice and support.

Great products, easy to install. Its a shame replacement seals are not readily available, so you can keep a few in your van stock. Not the cheapest, but by far the best.

Dont like call backs on kitchen installations so always use Mc Alpine fittings specially if my job is out of the area.

As a plumbing & heating engineer we use alot of mcalpine products and they are the best on the market 👍

Very good quality item, not the cheapest, but if it's concealed install, with very hard access, then the extra cost has to be worth it. The cost of a leak isn't worth the risk of fitting cheaper alternatives under a bath or shower tray.

Furthermore this trap has top side access for blockages, and swivels at the base so giving more options with waste pipe configuration. The overflow tube is a wider bore than standard and has a sturdy seal at each end. The cheap ones are junk and often leak.

I have learned that with some products it's best to get the best quality and do the job once without the risks of call backs. Mac Alpine products offer that peace of mind. I also like their sealant adhesive Mac X Seal. This is probably as good as CT1 yet unfortunately not so widely available, it cures faster too.

Lastly McAlpine is a UK manufacturer (for now) and that is as positive as it is unusual.

Quality is consistently good. Design well thought out. Appreciate the Multifit.
The range is extensive and compatible across it.
The PDFs available online with each fitting are informative and excellently presented, serving the purpose.
My first choice for plumbing fittings, worth paying the extra pennies and saving pounds in my opinion.

Firstly the products are first class.
I've never since I've been using Mcalpine fittings had a single failure.
Every fitting I have used feels like it's been designed by people who have actually use the parts.
They seem to have a fast turnaround of ideas to production. I think of a fitting id like to have/use I go through the fittings booklet .. And they are there!!!
The fittings are really well made, fit perfectly, they've come out with some really handy fittings.
I get annoyed with suppliers when they don't have or sell Mcalpine products or they've run out...
