I’ve never been so taken advantage of by a repair shop in my life. If I could give a review with no stars I would. Mavis on angus street replaced my rear brakes cause it was needed and rear calipers due to the left one leaking on feb 23rd 2025, 1YEAR AGO. it’s now march 12th 2026 and my left rear caliper is leaking, yet again. I brought it in and he stated that I needed to have the left one replaced along with the hose that attaches to it. At first he told me that I was 1 month over their 1 year warranty and that I’d have to pay full price for a caliper (about $468). I felt cheated, like I shouldn’t have to pay for what was already fixed so recently. Calipers don’t just leak randomly, the job wasn’t done right in the first place. Dylan (the worker) called his big boss (rob) and they informed me that their calipers are life time warranty so I would not have to pay for anything other than the hose and the system flush afterward. I asked how much that would be when it was all said and done and he said about $100 and I’ll discount you $20 for the hassle. I was so appreciative, only to leave my car there and come back the next day to be charged $378 out of no where! Dylan stated that his boss ended up up-charging me for what was being done because he wasn’t able to only change me for the hose and system flush. I stated that I should have Been called and notified before they even touched my car if that was the case. I told them that that was ridiculous and deceitful and that I wasn’t paying for it. His manager stated that he could either discount the labor about $50-60 or he could call his boss and he would have me pay full price. Either way I wasn’t getting my keys back until I paid. Never have I been so swindled by a couple of boys in a shop that are sitting around up charging customers without their knowledge. I will never be back. This was outrageous. I brought my car to the dealership before this to have it looked at and they even said “just bring it back to the place that worked on it previously and they should fix it at no charge since all of these items were JUST REPLACED.” Mavis on angus street is crooked and not worth going too.

Paid for an alignment job on my Jeep Wrangler with this company, two weeks later the jeep started shaking again when the speedometer reached 66 to 70 mph. Had someone to check the tire, I was told that the weigh came off if the front left tire, only the glue was remaining where the weigh had been. Took the jeep back, they charged me $25.00 dollars to replace the weigh, jeep is still shaking once I get up to 66 MPH. I will be taking it somewhere else to have it done properly. No apologies or anything. I called, told them the jeep was still shaking, I was told that it would cost me AGAIN to have it looked at. Why should I have to continue to pay for their incompetency. Would not recommend anyone to this place of business.

My wife had a slow leak in her tire. She went to Mavis tire. The employee told my wife that the tire needed to be replace. The tires were almost new; there was a small nail in the tire tread. The nail was located 1 inch inside the tread, yet she was told she needed to replace the tire because it was in the sidewall. Not being familiar with tires, she didn't realize she was being scammed. She made an appointment. After waiting over an hour for her appointment, they were not even close to the tire replacement. She left and came home where I looked at the tire. As stated earlier the nail was not near the sidewall. She went to Discount Tires, and the tire was repaired not replaced. Mavis tried to sell her a $250 tire that was not needed. Beware of this tire store in Summerville!!
