We ordered carpet for upstairs hall and open tread staircase from their Banbridge office. The stairs had carpet down the middle so we said keep it the same. They sent someone out to measure and they had a rough sketch. The stairs were to be carpeted the same way. What we didn't realise was this carpet needed stitching down both sides for each tread. So the fitter arrived and then it was mentioned "was it suppose to be stitched". We had no clue and were given no options. So I suggested putting the carpet over the whole tread. The fitter did one and I looked at it and said it looked ok so to go ahead. However i was just trying to resolve a situation on the spur of the moment and received no advice from the fitter. However the bar at the back was only holding the middle of the carpet and not the whole way across. I mentioned this to Martin Phillips when I paid the bill and they said "if there were any problems with it they would sort it out". So we went back to them and discussed everything and they accepted it was missed about stitching the carpet. A new solution was found that the fitter could change the bar at the back to a full length one. So fitter has just been and guess what WE have had to pay another £90 for a mistake which was not our fault. I rang them to say this wasn't fair but they think it is! Don't use this company! They do not care about their customers and i certainly won't ever be using them again!

I recently purchased a carpet from Martin Phillips Carpets and, as always, received outstanding service from Johnny. Every time I visit the store, he greets us warmly and goes out of his way to assist. On this occasion, he was extremely helpful in guiding us through the options, answering all questions with genuine expertise. His friendly and professional manner made the entire experience seamless and enjoyable. It’s rare to come across such consistent, high quality customer service. Highly recommend Johnny in particular absolute credit to the team.

Reading some of the reviews I was a little worried, but they had the same floor I needed to match my other room. From start to finish they have been amazing. I received a call from a very polite gentleman when the floor was dispatched and given an estimate for when I would receive and it was on time. Order placed on 13.06.25, received 24.06.25 really speedy from Ireland to Wiltshire, Thank you.

I visited Martin Philips Banbridge Branch on 4/6/25 to buy Laminate Flooring and Skirting I was Treated By Professionals I was Treated Respectfully I had there Guy out to measure prior to buying again nice pleasant guy I bought my flooring skirting and underlay and I got a deal I was pleased with? I was back today 20/6/25 to return two Pks of leftover flooring and underlay I put the refund towards buying a new lyno floor and yet again I have nothing but phrase for this Banbridge Branch of Martin Philips Carpets and to make it Sweeter the Boss was there & again I got Discount. Now I’ve got hall straits landing and two bedrooms to Re Carpet and I will 100% be buying from Martin Philips Banbridge Branch. Anyone who reads this review I can guarantee you it’s not fake I’m genuine as is my review. I’ve tried the rest but I bought from the best Martin Philips Banbridge, great People Knowledgeable Friendly not pushing you into a Sale yet helpful people. I’ll BE BACK?? 😜. To Qoute Arnie 🤪

we ordered flooring for our bathroom from Martin Phillips and it was to be delivered and installed two weeks after we purchased it. When the guys came to install the floor, they had brought the wrong flooring, apparently the wrong one had been ordered from the store. We complained, and were told that our floor will take a further week to come in. Obviously this was not ideal as our house had been upside down with our bathroom emptied for 3 weeks. Martin Phillips told us that we would be first on the list to get our flooring down today, to make up for their error. By 10am, nothing, so we phoned Martin Phillips to see what was happening and we are not getting our floor down until late afternoon. We were told morning, so we have arranged to get a joiner here to install the skirting boards etc after the floor went down. I don't know how this company can get so many things wrong. on the phone, we were told these things happen and there's nothing they can do. How about getting the correct floor that your customer ordered? If you tell your customer they will be first on the install list, put them first on the install list. Martin Phillips used to be a very reputable company but this latest experience has been so unprofessional and horrible. I will never use them again.

Dealt with the staff in the Ravenhill Road branch. Very knowledgeable and helpful and the flooring was delivered when they said it would be. Couldn't recommend more.

What started out as a bad experience with Martin Phillips carpets Ravenhill road branch was turned around by two young men who came to fit the carpet,
Bad experienced started yesterday when we were waiting on are carpet being delivered especially when I phoned at 10am to confirm that it was coming I was assured it was, truth be known nobody checked at 10am or 4pm or 4.45pm plus no calls to say it'd be late,
Today after sending an email last night and promised the manager would ring when shop opened at 9.30am that didn't happen either then got txt from carpet fitter to say they'd arrive 1,30 approx, worthwhile waiting for Ben and Johnathan they did a tremendous job far better than the previous job a year ago can't thank them enough for the great job they did they took their time thanks again Johnathan and Ben. 5 star job.

Disgraceful company and attitude who do not even live up to there warranty. Paid this company almost £1500 for laminate flooring and there "expert laying". I had laminate flooring put down through out my home, hall, kitchen, living room and 2 bedrooms, In the hall some of the boards are not clicked in correctly an chipped and the MDF underside is showing the boards also move up an down when walking over them. in 1 bedroom some of the boards are not clicked in and are broken. same thing in the kitchen. The living room the floor rises up in the middle of the room which I'm told is because its been put to tight to the wall. In total out of 4 rooms an 1 hallway not one was done correctly. I contacted Ravenhill branch of Martinphillips via email including pictures of the damage only to be ignored. So i had one of there expert layers from the Newtownards branch contact them for me an raise the issues, he was told to by the Newtownards branch to finish what he was doing an leave that it was nothing to do with him as it was layed by someone else from Ravenhill branch of martinphillips. Neither would accept responsibility for the faults. In the end Ravenhill branch offered me £150 refund. They did not arrange to fix the problems, they simply walked away. They took £1500 of me and i have a botched job floor . Martin phillips should have just mugged me in the street. Now i am instructing a solicitor to start taking legal action, £150 compensation is not good enough, but the fact that they have not arranged to sort this mess out under the warranty is simply illegal so they have left me no choice other than to start legal action against them

Thanks to staff on Ravenhill Road, great service in store, good price and choice of carpets. Carpet fitters are brilliant to deal with, quality of laying is awesome.

Only wanted a sample for some flooring that looked perfect, had an initial response then nothing, if it's this hard before I've purchased what will the service be like once they have my money, I'll look elsewhere.

The carpet great quality, so soft to walk on, great service from ordering the carpet to paying installments, no issues, 110% to the fitter, installed total professional though out the progress to getting the carpet to having the carpet installed, cosy warm 😀 👍

I saw the laminate I liked and couldn't find same product anywhere else . Ordered from northern Ireland which cost £50.
When delivery arrived within a week, one pack was damaged and wasn't sure Scotia was correct colour. Once I told them they immediately sent replacement.
Really happy with product and service .
Would recommend to anyone
